Stopped here to fulfill a craving with some friends. It was a clean establishment with kind employees who worked quickly to get our food ready. I ordered a "little cheeseburger" which is basically a normal cheeseburger and I got lettuce, onion and tomato on it. I also ordered the "little cajun fries". Great customer service. We went in and ordered a lot of food with the in-laws and the kids. My daughter had a strawberry shake. She maybe had 2 sips and knocked it off the high top and spilled it everywhere. We tried cleaning up with napkins but just didn't have enough, so we told the staff. Jaden (staff) came out and cleaned up our mess and Jay (staff) brought her a new shake for the one she spilled. Thank you Jay and Jaden you made our kids day! The food was great too fresh toppings on the burgers the fries are always awesome. Please give Jay and Jaden a raise or promotion or whatever they freaking want. This place seriously surprised me!! Their burgers are out of this world! Fries are good too, although they are much more dependent on the attention being payed to the dryer by its operator. After 3 trips now I've had excellent fries and almost inedible fries but never a bad burger here! Seriously would have been 5 stars if not for the inconsistent quality of the fries and the prices. If you're going to do burgers and fries don't do one amazingly well and the other so hit and miss. Knock them both out of the park! The prices may be inherent in today's economy but when it costs a family of three over $30 to get 3 burgers, 1 fry and 2 drinks for lunch? It's at the high end of its competition to say the least. I have only been to Five Guys one other time and that was over 6 years ago. When I seen this town had one on our way down south I decided to stop and try it. Normally when at a fast food joint I order two hamburgers as they are normally a little on the small side. That is not the case for this place. They were huge and I could only eat one. But it was good and they were fast. I wonder why it took me 6 years to go back. The only reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because I think the price is a little too high. Other then that I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. read more

As a displaced, disoriented, and depressed Californian, I miss In-N-Out. I would sell the majority of my organs on the black market just to taste In-N-Out once more before I die. Five Guys isn't In-N-Out (it's more "in" than "out") but it's like a sibling of In-N-Out. It's definitely not Burger King or McDonalds, which makes it superior to most burger chains in Minnesota. If you miss In-N-Out, Five Guys is a good substitute. My only warning is that you clarify that Five Guys is a burger chain when you tell your friends that your mom brought Five Guys home so that they don't think you're having an orgy. read more

The first time I ate at Five Guys, I was so grossed out when I sat down. Although the burger seemed to be made with care and love, the fries were just dumped into the bag and they were burying everything else in there. Once I started eating, all was forgiven. The burgers and fries are awesomely fresh and really delicious. It seems like it's SUPER bad for you, it hurts my heart every time I eat there so I try not to do it super often. Five guys has delicious burgers and a HUGE mound of fries for the money. Pick your toppings. Whatever you want. The little burger is plenty of food! Place was packed when it first opened, now there is ample space to sit. Prices are a bit high for a burger place in Mankato. Not impressed with the fries (soggy and unflavorful) and see why they pile you up with them. I usually just grab the burger by itself without fries. read more

My husband and I were Five Guys virgins until today. Oh my YUM! We loved the burgers and fries. We love the simplicity of the menu and decor. The employees were super nice and helpful, and we appreciated that one of the cooks walked around checking on customers when they weren't busy cooking. Very impressed an we will be back! read more

This place is awesome! It was around lunch time and the place was packed, but while we stood in line, we used the Five Guys Burgers and Fries App, and when we finally made it to the counter we just showed them our order # and we collected our cups and then took a seat. Why would anyone want to walk into a grease dump like this? Your food is a crappy browN grease soaked bag they give you with your meal dumped inside. Hugely grossly overpriced, I spent near 30.00 for my son and I for burger and fries. The smell of the greasy place would turn your stomach, their is no appeal to the way your food is served. They break every rule of a nice sit down restaurant, but beware don't wear nice clothes, come in naked and you'll still smell like grease. read more

Most friendly and helpful experience I have had at any of the burger places in town! This particular location had fast service, very friendly and cheerful staff, and great burgers! I've been to five guys several times, and each time I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience the food is great it's nice place etc. well this time when I went I was first met by an employee who is either incompetent or this is their first time working there. When I started to tell them what toppings I wanted on my burger they made me restart several times. Then the really disappointing part is when after I ate. I went over to order a milkshake they took my order and I sat back down, probably about 8 to 10 minutes later they called my number and upon grabbing the cup I realized that a good portion of it had been spilled by the person that was making it. And all around the cup it was all sticky and everything it was really gross. I am very disappointed in five guys. I know they can do a lot better. read more
