Siracha chicken burger
Briana V.

I had the Siracha chicken burger- I wish that the chicken or sauce that was added tasted more like Siracha . That's the reason for the 3 stars. Onion wrings were pretty good and pretzel sticks . I really enjoyed the garden Moscow mule that I got very refreshing. I wouldn't mind going again and trying something different.

We went there on a Saturday in the early evening. The atmosphere was good, and our waitress was friendly. The drinks were large and cold and it wasn't very busy. However, it took over 40 minutes to get our food, and I had 'upgraded' my french fries to onion rings for an additional $3.19 (if memory serves me correctly). When I finally received my meal, I had a total of four (4) onion rings on my plate! Two large, two small. I looked at my wife and said "Is this all the onion rings I get?" I was incredibly disappointed. The sandwich was tasty, but I was still a bit hungry afterwards. Should have stayed with the french fries.

This is one of our favorite destinations. It has a high energy to the building, and yet is relaxing all at once. With a traditional American menu (burgers, wings, sandwiches, salads, etc.) That is both delicious and reasonably priced, we love coming here to eat and hang out. Lots of screens, a couple dartboard's, and an old-town vibe. If you're looking for where to go around Mankato tonight, make it Ummies. You won't regret it. (Hint: order the Sriracha Bourbon Chicken sandwich with crispy chicken, and add bacon - messy, sticky, and yummy!)

Wow. This was the blazing chicken sandwich (I think that was the name). Perfect amount of heat and nice crispy chicken.

Great food, great service. Super kid friendly but would also be a great spot to grab a beer and some apps with friends.

It's fine. Good bar food. Good sports watching. Not good, not bad. Ambiance is very outdated. It's a sports bar from 15 years ago...

We came in to see the most diner looking diner you could get to. Open kitchen and all…read more Food was very good. We tried chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, eggs and hashbrowns. The pancakes were good, nothing special. They had a little cinnemon roll for 2.75 which were fantastic. The menu was a little confusing. Me not realizing eggs came with the biscuits and gravy. But the menu is very small and simple, which i can appreciate. They had a pepsi spicket which actually was shooting out cherry pepsi.. to me thats an upgrade but i could see some wanting the normal thing. Prices seem very fair, however be ready to add 4 dollars for hashbrowns. The reason i don't mind though, you get good servings. Did not feel cheated. The server was awesome and attentive to multiple request from our table. Downside- cash only or local check I would eat there again for sure

It was NOT busy at all so that couldn't be the reason. :-( PS: if you order the biscuits and gravy your gravy is a simple flour/milk gravy with pepper-NO sausage whatsoever. (The waitress stated that people often complain about that when served, & yet ownership decides to still leave it that way!? Perhaps at least clarify on your menu.)

We stopped by on a Saturday as we were looking for a good family lunch spot and the other Yelp…read morereviews were good. The whole experience seemed flustered. The host originally seated us in a space that did not fit our party. Then he moved us to a center spot in a long, family-style table with people on either side of us. We had a five year old with us who was overly tired and very spunky and we had to try to keep her focused on us and not our neighboring patrons. Was really not the most appropriate seating for children but we didn't want to ask for yet another table. Soon after we sat down, we discovered that the parties on both sides of us were upset and looking for any employee so they could express their frustration. Seeing as we were all so close, we could hear them complain to others in their parties about the service. We learned shortly that we should have written up our losses early and moved on. We didn't. We ordered our beverages and immediately got water. The rest (2 soft drinks, an iced tea, and a milk) slowly trickled out one by one. The waiter apologized every single time he came to the table about how slow everything was from us being seated to getting our drinks to him coming to take our order. Once the food came out, he was apologizing again for how long that took. He wasn't wrong. As for the food, it was fine. Portions were average to smallish for the price. It wasn't as special as we had hoped it would be based on the descriptions. We each got something different and all said that we wouldn't order that item again. Not that it was bad. It just wasn't good. The best thing we had was the pretzel stick appetizer. That was pretty good but for the price, we wouldn't order it again. Nothing was super memorable except the decor which was super fun to look at. Oh and the very apologetic waiter. Our food came out hot. Turns out that was not true for the table to our left. The table to our right got the wrong food so half their group was done while the others were just starting. Apparently one of the cooks had called in. So, over all, I gave them an optimistic 3 stars. It was like a participation award with the assumption that if they were firing on all cylinders, it could have been much better. Personally, i wouldn't try them again but as the only Irish pub in the area, it could be a neat happy hour hang out. It just was not a family lunch spot.

We visited here mostly because their online menu, and their menu inside, said they serve Kilkenny, one of my husband's favorite beers and one that is rare to find. Unfortunately, we were informed right away that they no longer serve it, either, as the distributor was struggling to get it. Alas. That is the only complaint we have, though. Service was great, busy as the place was on a Saturday at lunchtime. I had a Magner's cider while my husband made do with Schells Octoberfest. The cheese curds were absolute artwork, some of the best we've had in ages. I had the beet and goat cheese salad. It was huge with very fresh ingredients, quite filling without an added protein. My husband had a burger and fries and really enjoyed them.

Today, however, we ordered a burger among other things and we were brought the incorrect burger. Our server came to our table and explained he brought the wrong burger. We had already cut and taken a bite of it and said it's okay we will just take what we were brought rather than waiting for a replacement. When we got the bill we were still charged for the burger we ordered even though we didn't receive it. When we asked our waiter, Griffin, why we were charged for it, his comment was "well it was cheaper than what you ate." When we asked to talk to the manager, Sawyer, her comment was "well you ate the burger didn't you?" They did not comp the burger and argued they didn't need too. Bummed we had this experience and will not return.

They are kind of like toasted raviolis filled with cream cheese and jalapeños. Their hand dipped tendies are excellent! And their house made sauce is just as good. My friend really enjoyed her wings and salad. I tried both of her sauces and they were super flavorful, the wings are not fried so do not expect them to be crispy. Overall, I'm looking forward to a return visit.
