Pedicure from Noire The Bail Bar

So, I went to Noire for the first time yesterday.... It was a pretty big disappointment. First of all, Charlie was the one doing my pedicure...he spent nearly the entire time trying to sell me gel polish and paraffin dip. I said multiple times that I didn't want it. Then he complained about how short my nails were. I like to keep my nails short, and I usually hear about it from nail techs, but he was actually complaining about it. He did a terrible job painting my nails, and then told me my nails were awful! The hostess came and redid my toe nails, and they looked better, but definitely not worth the $42 I paid for the pineapple coconut pedicure. Wasn't even relaxing because the guys was trying to sell me stuff the whole time. Then when I got my gel manicure, Ann did my nails. At first, it was going fine. And, she didn't cut me which was great. My cuticles are very thin and my skin tears easily, which I warned her of. She was careful... but she barely touched my cuticles. They still look awful and dry. She didn't cut my fingers because she barely touched them. And, she didn't apply the polish well - it dried all lumpy and uneven. Again, definitely not worth the $37! I wanted to like this place, but I was so disappointed. I won't be back. :/ Gonna have to go someplace else today to get my nails redone for vacation....

Don't waste your money. The seats are crap, very uncomfortable. The massagers don't work well. Not off to a good start. Waited for pedi to start about 30 mins after they sat me in the uncomfortable chair. I was asked multiple times about gel polish. They push the upcharge on gel polish. I repeated "NO gel" on my toes. The lady who did my pedi wasn't taking her time. Rushed through the entire process after I didn't agree to the up sale to gel or a fancy pedi with all the bells and whistles. Take a look at my finished toes. Truly disappointed.

Quite possibly my worst experience at a nail salon. I went with my sister and she had a fantastic time. We got the same manicure, the pineapple coconut. There was not even a comparison between the two. My nail tech rushed through the entire "process". He did a "massage" which was basically just slathering sugar scrub on my arms. He didn't even wipe it off. I told him I wanted to keep my nails long, and he clipped them extremely short. He didn't ask what shape I wanted and did what he wanted. Then he sloppily painted my nails. When I voiced my concerns to the manager, she was not concerned. She didn't even apologize, then she just took $5 off. She was completely unconcerned about my experience and didn't care if I would be returning. Unfortunately I will not be back.

This place charges $$22 for gel polish alone and elsewhere maybe $10-15! I'm very shocked at how much they overcharge and do NOT do such a great job!! Kind of not the pink clear coat I wanted or a straight French line

Really disappointed I even have to leave a review. This is my go to place for acrylic nails. However I went today for a removal and a full set of acrylics. I was charged $95 for this set of nails that is just not worth it. I'm not 100% sure but I think the nail tech who did them is "Thi". I usually get them done by John and I've never had any complaints. Nail removal is usually between $10-15 and I have never paid more than $75 here. I paid $75 one time for a french tip gel set with a design so this is just way over charged. I asked why it was $95 and didn't get a clear answer but I'm assuming it because he had to remove my acrylics. He said that he was giving me a deal because this set would be $115-$120 at other places. The color on my nails isn't gel or regular paint it is colored acrylic powder but not a dip set so I really don't know how this is $95. Application was sloppy and thick as well definitely not worth it. Love this place otherwise but I was dissatisfied today. Forgot to mention I didn't like the length of the first clear tips he applied so i asked if we could redo them he told me it was too late even though we didn't even start with acrylic yet. He asked me if I wanted to anyway and I said yes. He then ripped off the clear tips on my nails which was painful and then after applying the new clear tips he told me to make sure I liked the length because he would not redo them.

Eric was fantastic!! I got the chocolate cappuccino pedicure, and it was well worth the price. The location was very clean, and the staff was very knowledgeable. This is one of the few locations in Chattanooga that take AMEX.

I don't care what anyone says about this place. I have been going here since they opened and if or when you do decide to go make sure you ask for Lee (Li). I have been to way too many salons to even count in Chattanooga since moving here. She is ABSOLUTELY the best.

My stepdaughter's nails for Christmas!

My husband and I came here to get pedicures and my stepdaughter got a pedicure and polish change. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and made sure to do everything they could to help us. They did a wonderful job on my stepdaughters nails for Christmas, and my husband enjoyed a relaxing treatment. We really appreciated their wonderful customer service and tranquil environment. The man at the front desk even gave me a little Christmas gift as I was leaving! We will most certainly be visiting again.

Probably the worst nail experience I've had in awhile. I have short nails so I wanted tips to lengthen my nails then dip power. An hour and 15 minutes later, I have horribly short, uneven nails with polish all over my fingers. The tech was very heavy handed and harsh when it came to filing and twisting my knuckles. After all is said and done they wanted to charge me $60. $10 for shaping up my cuticles (which still look bad) Never going back.

Infection after hang nail trimmed with clipper no santized.

Over that time, I have spent between $2,250 and $2,475 on services. Unfortunately, a recent experience has made it clear that continued loyalty holds little value at this business. Due to an unforeseen work emergency, I was unable to make a 5:30 PM appointment. I am fully aware of their cancellation policy, but I had no control over the situation and made an effort to communicate and reschedule. Despite this, I was charged a 35% cancellation fee, which came to $18.25. What made this more frustrating is the fact that the same technician had other availability that day, and the time could have easily been rebooked with another client. Rather than choosing to work with a dependable and long-standing customer, the business chose to enforce a fee without consideration of the context. Ironically, that small fee turned out to be a turning point. I have since switched to sugar waxing, and the improvement in service is undeniable. No more burns from wax that's too hot, no skin trauma from wax that's too cold, and absolutely no redness or irritation. The difference in quality and care speaks for itself. It's also important to note that over the course of three years, I experienced significant turnover among estheticians, making it difficult to maintain consistent quality and rapport. While policies are important, so is discretion -- and in this case, the lack of flexibility cost them far more than the $18 they collected. They may have followed their policy, but in doing so, they made it clear that customer loyalty is not a priority. A small fee was gained, but a loyal client -- and future revenue -- was lost.

Called on Friday to confirm appointment since the young lady first booked an hour appointment and wanted a 90 minute. The young lady confirmed my 2:09PM appt for 90 minutes. Today I called on my way due to traffic on I-75 and would arrive a few minutes after 2PM. To my surprise the man on the phone told me I didn't have an appointment!!! I explained the calls I made and when yet he told me I should have known I didn't have an appointment if I didn't receive a text message. What??? My daughter and I ended the day feeling relaxed -- which may be the bottom line -- but the experience itself wasn't knock-your-socks-off wonderful. My facial was basically a series of applications -- serums, masks, tonics -- with no extractions. (The facialist I've seen at home, finds plenty to extract!) My daughter on the other hand, had some blackheads removed. The body glow was a total waste of time and money. (Again, my spa in Marietta has a special water bed devoted to this, and you walk out feeling refreshed and tingly.) Here, the massage therapist rubbed a sugar solution on my back, wiped it off with a warm cloth .... and that was pretty much it. The day spas that I go to give patrons a robe and a drape (for the facial), plus a locker with key. Erin said that because of the structure of our day, they didn't do that. (My daughter and I each had four services.) My favorite spa at home offers serene sitting rooms with fruit, cheese, crackers and reading matter. The sitting rooms here are simply low-lit holding rooms, with strangers sitting awkwardly across from each other, pulling out phones to avoid eye contact. A plus, for those who live in Chattanooga, are the last minute discount deals. But for visitors planning a special spa outing, this place may leave you disappointed. Something also a bit odd: I asked one of the practitioners who the owner of "A Better You Spa" is. She replied, "I'm not allowed to tell you. The owner doesn't want anyone to know who she is." Interesting.....
