The pizza itself was fresh and flavorful, the crust rather hard. Will scout around some more for a softer crust. Sigh, this was the highest rated pizza spot in the area and unfortunately is nothing special and not made right! C'mon we're not that far from The City! We ordered the medium Margherita for delivery and it arrived cold and soft. There was not much seasoning and lacked tomato sauce and mozzarella-it would have been so much better with lot more sauce, cheese and basil! What I had to do to make it flavorful was put it on the stove to crisp up the bottom, add olive oil, aged balsamic vinegar, sea salt and lemon garlic pepper and it was so much better! Sorry but if it was around $9 then it would have been worth it but for $18 incl tax medium pie, was not worth it at all! The pizza is generally good (although I recommend turkey pepperoni and turkey sausage, instead of beef pepperoni and beef sausage), although the chicken bacon ranch pizza uses the ranch dressing as its base, instead of using a white sauce as the base and then just drizzling the dressing on top, so it's a bit overwhelming. But generally, the food is really good. Unfortunately, if you order online, the order tracker will be off in terms of your delivery time by anything from like 10 minutes to half an hour (so far). I live right around the corner and my latest order took an hour to get here. Also, I ordered another time and it was canceled for no reason, with no explanation. I've tried this pizza place a few times and it can be hit or miss. I really liked the broccoli chicken pizza I had, however, I was not a fan of the pepperoni and sausage. The sausage they used had a weird flavor and I ended up picking it off. The pizza is affordable, and they're in a convenient location with friendly staff. My husband and I wanted to try a new pizza place so we ordered delivery from Noho. They quoted 45mins for delivery and were very close to that estimate. We ordered a medium chicken parm pizza, medium boneless wings, Mac and cheese poppers and garlic knots. The pizza was under cooked and I didn't like the sauce but it was loaded with generous toppings. The boneless wings were good. I'd say the best things we ordered. The Mac and cheese poppers weren't anything to write home about and the knots were ok. I was glad we tried it but I wouldn't order from here a second time. read more

Noho! No-go! I went there with my friends 3 year old daughter who requested pizza. We both had on masks. I immediately noticed the owner running around with no mask (I thought he was leaving the store so I said nothing), and ordered and paid for my pizza. He then proceeded to not only go behind the counter, but bent down in front of where the pizza was exposed to his mouth and noise! When he stood up I said 'excuse me where is your mask'? He looked at me like I didn't matter and proceeded with his no-mask-on-activities. I said to the very nice employee 'I want my money back'! He apologized for the owners behavior and gave me my money back. Unless you want Covid as a topping on your pizza, I would avoid this place!!! read more

We ordered a cheese calzone, 2 Stromboli, 2 Anti-Pasto salads and 12 mild wings. I'm from Michigan and was passing through Albany for the night and Noho was one of a few places open after 8pm on a Sunday. The food was FANTASTIC. Typically you expect something to be soggy, salad to be depressing from a pizza joint, but not Noho! Perfect crisp fresh salad, great house Italian, all he food was hot, crispy and fresh. Perfectly cooked, delicious and 10 minutes earlier than they estimated to deliver to my hotel. DEFINITELY worth it if you're doing delivery or take out! Thanks Noho! read more

We ordered gluten-free pizza via the Eat24 feature, which we've done previously. Their gf pizza comes in a 12x17 size only, but they have better crust than most places (it's as close to "real" pizza crust as we've had anywhere). We'd recommend giving it a try if gf is your jam. The reason for 4 vs 5 stars is the order, while delivered faster than promised, was missing two of the three toppings we ordered. We noticed right away, but the driver told us he couldn't take it back that we had to call the store. We reached out via Eat24 since we'd ordered that way; they did get it resolved. The restaurant called and apologized and the replacement pizza was just how we wanted it. I've come here intermittently for slices when I'm in the area and have been satisfied, but my experience today turned me off. I was placing a large order for an office party and was attracted to NOHO because of their low prices in comparison to pizza shops further downtown. When I placed my order and was given the total, I accepted and hung up. When I thought about it I realized I was being overcharged, as the prices listed on the menu and the total I was told did not match. I called back and asked why the total was higher, and was told by the owner that he raised the prices. OK - fair enough. He then told me they haven't gotten the menus with the new prices yet and their website hasn't been updated with new prices, so these new prices aren't anywhere to be seen. I said so you're charging me for your new prices which haven't even been advertised yet? He kind of got an attitude and said listen if you want this food I can give you a 5$ discount but that's it. I only complied because I didn't want to have to find another spot to order from with such little time left, but I will not be ordering from here again. With so much competition for pizza on Lark St alone, you would think a business would care to make their customers happy. In the future I will be saying NO to NOHO. P.S. the food (a Sicilian pizza w/ cheese and a Sicilian pizza w/ mushrooms/sausage and medium wings) wasn't anything special. The pizza was thick and full of mostly dough and lacked any flavor. Granted, the wings were tasty, but 2 hours after eating it felt like there was a brick in my stomach and I have never been more nauseous in my life. I had to take a sick day at work the next day as I could not walk due to the pains in my stomach, fever, and other symptoms that go along with food poisoning. My girlfriend and and I ordered two pizzas for delivery last Friday night and were very happy with what we paid for. She ordered a gluten free tomato and broccoli white pizza, which is tuff to find in this city. She ate until she almost became sick, then ate a little bit more and did, but this shouldn't be counted against Noho. I ordered a traditional pepperoni pizza and would score it a 7/10, nothing special, but far from some of the crap served up in this city. My only real complaint is that the delivery guy was about 20 minutes late, but it was a Friday night and understandable. The young lafy on the phone repeated my order 10 times to me, and i asked her 4 times if i was getting an italian cheese and she said yes ( for those who don't know, an italian cheeseburger comes on a hero and its just burgers and fries. Pretty much agree with the other lukewarm reviewer. The gourmet slices are all top heavy (toppings on top of cooked slice), instead of an evenly made gourmet slice that's level (cheese/sauce/topping altogether). It's a crappy look and worse taste. I've given it a few tries and it just can't compare to Madison/I Love, which are at least ten times better. Too bad they are out of walking distance for me. The NoHo (and SoHo, same owners) slices get stale pretty fast because the bottoms are so thin. They just dry out, and don't reheat well at all. The cheese is low grade and tasteless. I think Greek and Mexican dudes run the kitchen, so they have that going against them too. read more

Pizza in the Albany area the last 10 years has been a disappointment and NoHo Pizza is no different. I grew up in the NYC area. I walked into NoHo Pizza on Lark on their grand opening day and was unimpressed with the FREE slice I was given. My 1st order: X-large pizza and wings was a disappointment. The cheese and sauce just tasted low grade with little flavor. My gf felt the same. I'll give NoHo credit for not over-salting to get some kind of "flavor." The wings were sub-par. I ate 5 and tossed the rest. Since NoHO is so close to where I live, I decided to give them a 2nd chance. Sometimes a so-so restaurant will have a few good items on a menu. My 2nd order: Different x-large pizza and garlic knots. Same experience as the first. The pizza was bland and the cheese/sauce tasted low grade. And it's not just NoHo, I guess pizza places in Albany all order the lowest grade cheese/ingredients they can find because it just makes them more money. The garlic knots were pretty boring and lacking flavor as well. I finished half the pie and tossed the rest. And it looks like NoHo put a decent amount of money into the place. Good luck owners. If you up your game for pizza to a level your neighbor Crisan has for baked goods, I'll give you another try. But I doubt that will happen. I can only guess the owners just can't taste good pizza themselves. It's like those people who actually like preservative/packaged food flavors and therefore think chain restaurants taste good. read more

This place is pretty solid. Nice decor inside and pretty clean! I ordered the standard pizzeria meal of a couple slices and a soda. Slices are a pretty good size. I ordered a buffalo chicken slice and a chicken bacon ranch slice. Both had decent flavor, typical middle of the road toppings. Came here to grab a quick bite while in the area, and while I enjoyed my lunch, there are a couple of things that could be better. They had a lot of interesting looking pizzas to choose from. I ordered a slice of pepperoni, a slice of fresh tomato and mozzarella, and some garlic knots (I was hungry!). Everything tasted delicious, however I would have preferred that the marinara sauce that was served with the garlic knots be warm - it was cold. The slices were nice and crispy, not greasy at all. I was able to maneuver eating them while driving on my way back to work so that was a plus. I would also recommend the staff working be a bit more friendly to customers. The woman working was hard to hear, and she wasn't rude or anything, but just wasn't friendly at all. A couple of small tweaks, and I would definitely return. Happened to stumble upon this place...I was visiting Albany and was looking for food (what else is new?) I decided I'd try looking on fashionable Lark Street...and since I really wanted something to-go that I could eat at my hotel, I decided on this place. I ordered spaghetti with an order of meatballs. This place was not worth the hype that people say about it. My food came up to $17 and I when I told the girl working there how I didn't like my mozzeralla sticks because the batter tasted like corn meal and she told me she couldn't refund it but she could give me a cheese slice instead which makes no sense. Mozzarella sticks are $7 and a cheese slice is 2.25 will never go there not to mention all the flys inside !!!!! read more

I am just horrified with the experience I had today with NOHO. I decided to throw my students a party to reward all their hard work. My colleague went to NOHO two days prior to the party and got the prices for the pizzas and wings. I then followed up and called to place the order, where they confirmed the pricing. Today when the delivery came, half the order was missing. I had ordered two 24-cut pizzas, one pepperoni and one cheese. When I opened the boxes there were only two 12-cut pepperoni pizzas. I called to inquire regarding the cheese pizzas and NOHO claimed that I never ordered them even though we had confirmed it. I then explained that I have students who, for religious reasons cannot eat meat, and I needed the cheese pizzas that I ordered. After spending over $100 on this order and tipping the delivery guy, NOHO refused to send the cheese pizzas that I ordered and claimed I would need to pay more if I wanted to get cheese pizzas. I explained how I spoke with a woman who had made this deal for us and the guy told me that he refused to argue with me on the phone and was I going to pay for cheese pizza or not since I so desperately needed them. I was in shock that this establishment would take the time to make arrangements with their customers and then to screw them in the end. I would recommend Pizzaroni if you need to order pizza because they are considerate and know how to run an honest business. It is unbelievable to me that NOHO tries to ROB their customers, especially knowing that they are providing for refugees and immigrants. It is just a disgrace! read more
