I love Woody's Home, and let me tell you why…read more My client had a home-automation system previously installed in his house by another company. For the most part, it was fine, but any time there was an issue, it would take the company forever to get back to us and to service the problem. Also, the way they left the cords and cables hanging in the back of the equipment rack was ATROCIOUS. Just a jumbled mess of cords. Needless to say, we needed to find another company. I was referred to Woody's, and several other companies, by the regional rep for the home-automation system. When I called Woody's and explained our situation to Jimmy, I finally heard what I'd been hoping to hear...someone who genuinely wanted to help and would troubleshoot the system with us as opposed to ripping everything out and starting over...which would have cost thousands and thousands of dollars! (the other places I called only wanted to do that or else they wouldn't take us on as a new client) What struck me about Jimmy was how earnest he sounded about wanting to help and how knowledgeable and passionate he is for everything A/V. After having him and his programming specialists Mark and Ryan come out and explain what they'd do, I knew that we'd be able to expect nothing less than amazing service and a proper organization of our system. When it came time to reorganize and tighten up the system, Francisco and Mario were AMAZING!!! They had their work cut out for them...I'm not exaggerating when I tell you how tangled and disorganized the cables and cords were! You couldn't tell which cable led to which piece of equipment unless you held onto the cord and followed it with your hands, all the while trying to keep the tangled mess of other cords away and not lose the cable you're following, in the tangled mess. It was just atrocious how the previous company "finished" the installation. A good lesson in getting what you pay for. Francisco and Mario went above and beyond in reorganizing the system. It's so beautiful now! The RCA cords are all color coded, as are the power cables, the network cables, etc. There's a beautiful box where the cables are all connected that has proper labels on them...no more exposed hole in the wall with cords spilling out willy nilly! Francisco and Mario were both very professional, respectful and courteous and made sure everything was thoroughly tested before leaving for the day. There was an art to what they did. Woody's Home is awesome. You can tell these guys only ever want to do an outstanding job and will go above and beyond to make sure all expectations are met. Aside from the amazing job they do with the technical aspects of it all, I truly valued how I was treated as a client and as a woman. There was no hint of anyone trying to patronize me or talk over my head when I didn't understand something. There was only respect and a genuine desire to help. Thank you Woody's for your amazing work! My client is extremely happy, so I'm extremely happy!

If that was our only interaction with him he would get a 5/5 stars. Last September I asked Derek to quote on relocating a sub-panel for my recording studio, add a junction box and any remediation to bring an unpermitted area up to code as that it would pass inspection. Initially Derek came to review the job and gave a verbal estimate. After a week Derek tripled the price saying the verbal original estimate was off and it was a lot of work. After thinking about for 2 days on Oct 1st I simply asked Derek to break out the materials and labor. After saying he would and me following up Derek simply ghosted and on Oct 30th after me asking again if he sent anything he simply said no. Due to various problems with the city and approvals we are still waiting for our permit. Not fully understanding the lack of response with Derek and that project on hold I reached out to Derek on Monday June 4th 2022. I told him we are in the middle of bathroom remodel and need a 2 new circuits for a whirlpool tub and a few GFCI's switches and recessed lighting relocations. He asked for some pictures and again gave a great verbal quote and said the soonest he could do it would be Saturday at 7am. We confirmed. I texted on Thursday again confirming and Derek didn't respond. I called on Friday and he apologized for not replying to my text but that he would be there on Saturday. Derek never showed or communicated. Repeated texts and calls went unanswered and have still to hear from him. Derek went from someone I would recommend to someone I say you can't count on. It's a real shame considering the quality of his work.
