    Pre-funk drinks!! Delicious
    Leticia V.

We popped in on a cold, rainy December evening and a lovely hostess welcomed us. We told her we just wanted a drink, and she took us to this atrium with a gorgeous city view. We could see all the Christmas lights from up there, which made the ambiance magical. They had a great selection of craft cocktails. I'm a gin girl, so I went for a seasonal cocktail with lemon and lavender, and it was delicious. My friend had a fruity seasonal cocktail that was so refreshing. We sipped our drinks and enjoyed the view. I highly recommend this place, especially if you can snag a spot in the back. We'll definitely be back to try the food. It looked amazing.

Absolutely fantastic! The service was incredible. They exceeded any expectations. I don't wanna say I'm special, but there may have been a slight scurfuffle between the servers over who was going to take my unique order I don't wanna say they were fighting over me, but as soon as they found out I had special food requirements It was like a competition to see who could customize the menu the most to meet with my needs! It was so humbling and comforting to be treated with options not scowls. I had actually called the day before to discuss the menu, they had even offered to handwrite on one of their paper menus the different customization could be done and then when I show up on that night. They were so ready with brilliant alterations. The attention to detail was impeccable. When you walk in the entire environment, just hits you with warmth, the lighting is dull, but the city lights are wrapped around you and glowing. We had a window view and even though the patio was fully available, we chose to eat indoors and watch the helicopters buzz around Downtown and the current hub of activity at icy offices. We gazed down on the street watching the many different police lights, flashing here and there and lighting up the night while we were lazily talking and just enjoying the ambience in between our courses. The vibe is everything here. There is no rush. Everything is a very thought out and meant to be enjoyed. We started with the tomato shrimp bisque, and I can't even lie.....We were both a little afraid. He's not a fan of shrimp, I've had a bad biscuit experience, and we were both absolutely tickled With the outcome! He got the burger, which I didn't touch cause it's not gluten-free but oh my goodness it smelled was amazing, char marks on the bun were the cutest I've ever seen achieved. I am not a fan of the sweet pickle and I did snatch one of the pickles on the burger, and it is sweet, but not gross sweet, I would say it has a fine balance between dill and sweet pickle. it definitely has to be made in house because there is so much love in that and I would eat a sweet pickle from here again. I had the vegan dish oh my goodness it knocked my socks off. The chickpea fritters were so soft on the inside with very robust texture that fought back just enough that your teeth had to work a little, but not too much and the outside was perfectly crisp to give you a little bit of a bite. The seeds And seasonings had such a kick in this dish! I did not taste the eggplant because of the seeds and pepper, but it's not a disappointment in anyway. Everything is very well balanced and 100% thought out and intentional. OK now we gotta get to the dessert. He had the brownie and ice cream which I didn't taste anything because it was not gluten- free blah blah blah.... let's get to my dessert, which is the only thing that really mattered honestly from the entire event. Fig leaf ice cream! I didn't even know this existed. OK so their current menu has a fig leaf ice cream, roasted figs and it does come with a little tiny cake, but I didn't have the cake cause that's not gluten-free so they made an alteration for me. The figs were beautiful to look at, perky and so bright in color, but for me personally, figs do not have enough flavor to stand up to a char so figs themselvesthemselves were a bit of a disappointment but THAT FIG LEAF ICE CREAM....let me tell you! Many of us experience as a kid when you walk into a room and there's an old man with a cigar or a pipe and the room just has that warm and coziness and the pipe just has a smell you can't pinpoint, but you're inhaling it deeply into your lungs and it's just something that's a little bit fruity and a little bit warm and a little bit vanilla and a little bit of comfort and everything is right. That's this ice cream! It is the flavor of that smell. I would go back to this place and order anything off the menu, but if you go there, and you have an opportunity to get the fig ice cream, get a double scoop, skip the cake, skip the fruit ask for a double scoop of the ice cream. You won't be sorry. Nothing else matters

Lovely experience! Food was a B, service was an A+, and ambiance was an A. For the prices, I expect the food to be out of this world, and I just found most things to be a bit too salty. GET THE BURRATA! Good option for special occasions! There was four of us, had appetizers, bottle of wine, a couple of cocktails, dinner, and the total was $320ish.

Some friends made reservations at Noble Rot. It had been on my radar to try and I was thrilled they made reservations there. Parking is not easy in this area. I had to circle around multiple times before finding street parking a couple blocks away. We were running behind and once inside the building, I took the elevator to the top. The rest of our party was waiting, but staff quickly seated us upon our arrival. Beautiful views of the city throughout the dining room. Started with a daiquiri cocktail. It was on the strong side and was more like a Hemingway daiquiri. For dinner: Noble Salad: butter lettuce, red onion, sunflower seeds, blue cheese dressing. This was light and tasted fresh. Loved it. Pasta of the Day: crab ravioli. This was delicious. and Not too big of a portion. Just right. Dessert: Chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice cream. Glad I decided to share this item. Perfect for that end of meal sweet tooth. Service was attentive and friendly. I look forward to returning in summer to try those items grown on the rooftop and I want to see those summer views.

There were times when people didn't know yet that overripe, bad grapes yield an especially fine wine. I had been a grape, I was squeezed, I will be wine -- Eva Beylich "Noble Rot" Was in Portland for both work and pleasure and this was the choice when we were downtown. You enter from the street, dodging a few homeless, and make your way up a few floors. It was a windy evening but we made it work outdoors. Lovely views. Had to have the drink in the pineapple. It was quite good. They have an interesting wine selection, ordered one of our favorite Spanish wines. Food was excellent...soup, beef, cheese plate, lamb. Service was friendly. Recommended!

First time here. Pleasantly surprised. Service seemed really slow for a non-weekend night. It took almost 10 minutes before anyone even came over to offer drinks. The server was apologetic and super friendly. She apologized for the long delay and informed they were down a staff member. I really appreciated that. Great drinks. Great food. We will be back for sure.

We have been here a few times, but never without a group of people. The servers were immediately accommodating on Valentine's Day- they made sure we were taken care of and seated in a timely matter. Starting with cocktails - we got the specials and browsed at the menu. There are not. Ton of gluten free options, but whatever the main meat special is tends to have an option for gluten free. I ordered the braised beef and it was delicious. I've also had the salmon at noble rot in the fall and I have only good things to say! Plus- their wine tastings are educational and fun!

My fiancée chose this restaurant as a recommendation for our anniversary. He wanted to find a new place worthy of a special occasion, and we were really looking forward to it. The service is wonderful, but I feel like you're paying for that along with ambiance and a view. The cocktail menu was interesting, I had one of the house cocktails and it was pretty good but not really memorable. I ordered an old fashioned and it was quite heavy on the bitters. My partner also tried one of the wine flights, and he enjoyed that and our server gave him a taste of a different wine that he ordered a glass of and really enjoyed. The food left a lot to be desired. We ordered a cheese plate and a pickle plate, both of which were underwhelming. The cheese plate had 4 cheeses, an apricot & fig jam, and baguette. One bleu cheese, and three semi-hard cheeses. The bleu and one of the goat cheeses were good, the other two were kind of flavorless. The pickle plate was mostly from their garden, some carrots and a version of a snap pea, beets, and turmeric turnips -overall was just ok. My partner enjoyed the seared duck, I got the bavette steak which came with those same snap peas tossed in a light dressing of sorts and one small potato, halved and crispy. The steak was cooked pretty perfectly and had a nice sear, however the chimichurri sauce it was covered in was very bitter. We ordered a dessert cocktail that was delicious- taste was reminiscent of an Andes chocolate mint. That was probably the best part of the meal to be honest. The ambiance is very nice, however I abhor the indoor two-top table setups. It's a small table nearly directly against the table next to you, separated by a 6-inch potted plant divider. So, your whole meal, you're essentially sitting with whoever they place next to you. Hard to enjoy yourself when you can clearly hear every single word of the people next to you and one side of the seating is a booth bench so you are roughly a couple of feet from the person at the the table next to you - I was nervous I was going to knock my purse into her. Overall, the service is great and their rooftop location with the view is really what you're paying for. If we had known beforehand that it was the last week Carina Lounge would be open, we would have gone there instead (RIP!!).

Sex With A View And Onion Rings

Got some good cocktails and small bites from this bar in Burnside. It has a classy yet casual feel. Noble Rot is known for the bar upstairs. Has pretty okay prices for the location. The upstairs has pretty good views. Cocktails are the best things to get. It's also got a food menu. There's mostly the usual fried stuff. A lot of it is meaty. Seriously few good things for vegans and vegetarians. It's about $10 for the cheapest cocktails. The best we had was Sex With A View. Also it's the name of the cocktail we got. This is made with apricot, cranberry, lavender, lime, Monopolowa vodka, and pineapple. It's about $10 for appetizers. The only good one they had was the Onion Rings. Has a pretty cool atmosphere. It's located on East Burnside Street at 11th. This is closed on Sundays.

The food is always outstanding. Excellent service. Upscale ambiance. Always a joy to experience. Located on the top floor. Take the elevator up to the fourth floor. Inside and outside seating with a beautiful view. We held our wedding dinner there and everyone loved the whole experience.

    Potato and leek soup, excellent.
    Andrew A.

First time back in ~20 years from when they were located on SE Ankeny. Wow, I knew I was walking into a top notch wine venue, but I had mediocre expectations of the food. Everything our table of four ordered was top notch, so good. The potato and leek soup was creamy, full of flavor, and an ample portion. The Halibut juicy, the brown butter vinaigrette heavenly. The homemade spaghetti was a hit. My favorite item was the Burrata small plate which included fried capers. It's ample enough to serve as an entree. The only meh item was the pickle plate. The Peanut Butter and Jelly dessert is their marquee item for good reason: get it. The creme brûlée about par for the course. The server was professional and thorough, a little too much upsell, but polite about it.

Really had a nice time with a friend who was hoping for a real Northwest dining experience. Our server was super attentive and knew the menu inside and out. All the food was really flavorful, and the wine flights were a great way to enjoy a range of wines. I felt quite happy with my salad which had a nice cornucopia of flavors. The pickles and cheese plates were perfect together. Would definitely recommend for a nice evening out!

    Rot Meat Plate
    Taylor B.

We each came in and selected a wine flight to enjoy with the meat plate as an appetizer. Do not skip this meat plate! What a treat. After reading reviews on Yelp, I was determined to get the endive salad. The flavors were great but the portion was on the small side. As for entrees, I elected to get the pasta of the day, a homemade tagliatelle with a mushroom sauce. Two of us ordered this while the other two ordered burgers. All entrées were absolutely incredible. Luckily, we saved enough room to share desserts and enjoyed those as well. I've only visited in the winter months, but would love to come back in summer to experience the patio. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to be back.

    What is their corkage fee?

Is the dining room air conditioned?

When we were there the windows were open and it was the perfect temperature. We were also seated on the outer area of the dining room not in the main dining room. I think the main dining room is air condition but if it's a hot day and you're… Read more

How warm is the outside patio?

It depends on the weather. When I visited over the summer, the outside patio was warm yet a little windy. I'm unsure if there are heaters set up during the colder months.

    Are minors allowed?

Yes. When I was there, there were plenty of children throughout the restaurant.

Are you allowed up on the rooftop garden?

Not at this time. We normally do guided tours on Tuesdays, but the roof is currently closed for heavy-duty maintenance.

At Muse you can enjoy a red from France, Spain, Italy, as well as local. Lots of whites and some bubbles, too. You can do a tasting of three half glass pours of your choice, or order a glass. Some nights they have tastings that they have preselected. Last night, based on Alex's recommendation, after telling him my preferences, I had the 2021 Crozes-Hermitage from Paris. It was a bigger red, but so smooth. Next I went with the Rioja Gran Reserva which was more fruit forward. Another winner. Their cheese and jam plates are fabulous, the cheese especially delicious, and pair perfectly with the wines.
