I wanted to update this review. I was able to get in touch with upper management in regards to this…read moresituation. Once they heard what had happened, the product was delivered destroyed, they stood behind it and shipped a new one and picked up the destroyed one. I can say I am happy with the way it was handled in the end. The sales rep needs some training on how to deal with situations in which the product is delivered with defects or in this case destroyed. Thank you again to the upper management for taking the time to help us with the product and getting us what we ordered.

Extremely Disappointed -- Poor Damage Handling & Inadequate Compensation…read more I spent over $27,000 on appliances from Big George's--refrigerator, oven, stove, and speed oven. What should have been a straightforward delivery turned into a frustrating, year-long ordeal that ended in small claims court. During delivery in March 2024, their team dropped a nearly 500-pound refrigerator off our porch while it was still on a dolly, damaging the concrete at our entryway. The entire incident was recorded on our doorbell camera. Despite admitting fault, Big George's initially offered only $200 or a patch repair--solutions that multiple independent contractors deemed unacceptable due to weather exposure, color mismatch, and long-term durability. Four contractors--including Midwest Construction, Dexter Concrete, Santoro Tile and Masonry, and Michigan Rose Construction--recommended full replacement of the damaged section, with bids ranging from $3,500 to $5,350. One wrote: "Patching is a temporary fix in this climate and will not blend with the existing concrete. Full replacement is necessary for structural and aesthetic reasons." Even Big George's own operations manager acknowledged liability. Still, the company refused to restore the damage properly. It wasn't until a small claims judgment--over a year later--that I received a mere $235.86. For a company that claims to be customer-focused and reputable, this experience was anything but caring. Their handling of the situation was dismissive, slow, and grossly inadequate--especially considering the scale of my purchase and their clear responsibility. If you're considering Big George's, be warned: if something goes wrong, you may be left to deal with the consequences on your own.

This is the Thermidor refrigerator delivered to us. They said I would have to call Thermidor to see if they can do anything for us.

Im glad I found this place. We recently bought a new home and have a lot to upgrade, I first bought…read morea fridge from them that saved me $1000 less than stores were asking. Once it was installed I realized how much everything else needed to be replaced as well and didn't even look anywhere else because I knew these guys would save me a ton and they have the newest products that are still in store at HD and Lowe's. I bought a washer & dryer, dishwasher and stove. For this order I didn't even go to the store, I worked with Han via Facebook chat and paid over the phone. She showed me pictures and made sure we were getting everything we wanted, and for an amazing price. No way we could have afford all of that if it wasn't for this place. They are extremely reliable and professional which is such a relief compared to some of the reviews from other discount appliance places that had me worried. It's hard to see in the pictures if there are any scratches and dents visible so I'll share incase you're wondering and looking; there's none on any of the visible surfaces in my home, so no one would know. They were able to get me the right ones that the dent or scratch would face a wall no one would see. :) I also love that it's a small family business, they work so hard together and they're really genuine people. Such a nice change from Lowe's that you don't know who to contact or when they're showing up. They communicate the whole way and show up when they say they are.

It was nice to browse in the store without staff hitting you over the head with sales pitches. We are very happy with our purchases and the fact the staff assisted with loading when we arrived to pick up our purchases. I highly recommend this appliance store if you want well- known appliances at great prices that also has extremely nice staff and good service.

Asked an employee who was wasn't occupied to explain that was my question. VERY rude woman pointed to a sign about appointment only, and next appointment was end of March. Tried to explain I wanted to buy an item from their stock. Rude woman again said couldn't do it but had to schedule. Eight weeks away. Ok then, took my stock # to Lowe's, who were very friendly, and bought my two Koehler sinks there at 40% lower price. I'm tired that crappy, rude customer service gets blamed on staffing COVID issues. Done spending my money here.

We've used Ferguson consultants for our kitchen remodel (all appliances) and for our master bath…read moreremodel (shower heads & sink faucets). Each time they came through for us with great suggestions and insight for the remodel process. You have to make an appointment but once you're there they will spend as much time as you need. We were with Sarah for almost 2 hours today for the bathroom. Their showroom is great so you can compare the various brands. The consultant can put your selections into the build.com website and then you can go home and make your final decisions. Or you can let them place the order. I gave 4 stars because they only have two consultants at the Ann Arbor location so it's a week or more for an appointment. Aside from that I highly recommend Ferguson.
