The venue is small and to some, this may seem uncomfortable; two pedicure stations and a single nail station, but IT WORKS. As a result of it just being to two of them, you receive primo service. Dedicated to YOU and potentially one other client only. I love booking duos with the Nguyen's with my dad or a friend and it's pampered service focused on only us and us alone. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. The technician who did my manicure seemed rushed from the start. My cuticles were trimmed so aggressively that they were bleeding, and the polish application was sloppy. When she finished, she immediately got up and walked to the back and never returned. I was left sitting there and had to pick up my jacket and purse and carry them myself to the drying table. In the process, I smudged a couple of nails. I tried to find the technician to fix them but couldn't locate her. At that point, I just wanted to leave. It's disappointing because the salon clearly has talented staff, but the inconsistency in service really took away from what should have been a pleasant visit. I hope management addresses this so all clients receive the same level of care.

For my last visit, I wanted white tips with dip powder, and the manicurist I had didn't feel comfortable hand painting the white lines on at the end and had someone else help. I really appreciated that because in my experience at other salons, they fully go through knowing they don't know what they're doing, and I end up hating my nails. The staff is also extremely friendly and remembered me after coming in only two times. They rarely ever have a wait and always try their best to accommodate your requests. Ladies working there aren't terribly friendly and usually seem pretty put-out when I'm there, and I'm probably the lowest-maintenance customer they could get. They do a good job though, have never had an issue with my powder dips or pedicures. Pricey IMO for what you get in terms of product and service, but that seems to be de rigeur for Mount Pleasant.

I was getting my senior photos done that next day and they literally PEELED off. she also made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her. she was rushed even though I had booked an hour she was done in 35 min and rushed me out. it was somewhat clean but I was the only person in here apart from the lady tech lady. it was very expensive and when I called the day after to tell them that my nails came off, they just offered a $20 discount on my next set. they should have offered to redo the whole thing. I was very disappointed and will not go back. when I was checking out, the nail tech also entered in her tip which I didn't realize until I had paid which is VERY unprofessional (gave herself 20 or 25% can't remember exactly which one). anyway do not recommend at all. there are way better places in charleston.
