Go see Ms Debra and get your hair did. She really cares for her clients and the health of their hair. She was given to me as a referral for my mother who's been getting ripped off for years. When I noticed my mothers beautiful hair was not as health as it had always been I set an appointment for her. Ms Debbie looked at my mothers hair. She asked some questions on the history of how my mother got her hair done. Within 5-10 minutes Ms Debbie had a plan laid out of how to restore her hair and what was causing the damage. Best place ever and I will willing drive my 74 year old mother here every appointment she has. This is a very intimate setting and call for appointments. I do not recommend the salon. I had a pedicure and acrylic fill in with gel. Was overcharged $115 plus $20 tip..... then a week later all the Polish was chipping off. I went back that person was gone the next person proceeded to tell me oh it's the light that didn't work on your nails and then told me that I needed a fill again, mind you it had only been a week and a day that I had a fill and gel polish I was then charged another $50, and 3 days later the Polish was chipping again I went in and a Gentleman repaired one nail.. and he told me this was happening because they didn't put base coats. Which is true the next day another nail was chipping.... after this being my second day in a row with nails chipping I asked to have them repolished with base coat and was told no they would only fix the one nail. She explained she didn't do it and it was not her fault. I asked for the owner because I believe they are ultimately responsible for the people that work at the salon and the work that they do. And the woman who spoke perfect English at this point said she could not understand what I was saying and did not know who the owner was.... I asked her you don't understand what I'm saying? And she said no I don't understand She understood everything else that I spoke but could not understand that I believed someone should be responsible for the quality of work. I find it hard to believe she does not know who she works for No one at this salon takes responsibility for the quality of work and continues to charge and overcharge. I don't go to spas or nail salons often but I had a spa package gift card to use so I gladly took the opportunity to go here for a massage, facial, manicure, and pedicure! The place is pretty eclectic - one side looks like a shopping area (but rather unorganized and not my style) and the main part is a large nail salon. For the massage I was taken back to a small room that wasn't very spa like. This is the only reason I don't want to give 5 stars - it felt like they just turned the extra back room into an occasional massage/facial area. I had my entire massage and facial in silence... no calming music like there usually is when you go to a spa for a relaxing massage. Luckily the woman was very nice and still gave a great massage even though she wasn't provided the best set up. She evidently only comes to the salon for occasional massage appointments when requested and has her own spa in West Ashley. Still a little awkward to be in a dark room in silence with some one for 2 hours. It was also a little cold in the room. When I got the mani pedi after the massage/facial it was clear that this place mainly functions as a nail salon. Nice service - love my nails. The ladies were very nice - particularly Lily that did my mani pedi. If I was rating this only as a nail salon I'd give 5 stars. The actual massage and facial were great but being in a back cluttered room in silence was odd. Go here for your nails and go to a spa in West Ashley for your massage! read more

I live right up the street and was looking forward to having a new pedicure spot very close to home, even if it was mediocre. Sadly, this place is NOT the place for you or me! I entered and it took 10 minutes for someone to greet me. I requested a Hot Stone Pedicure and requested wine as I saw another patron with a glass. They kept telling/asking me if I wanted water after three attempts to no avail I said fine to the water. I told the young lady performing the pedicure that I wanted a hot stone pedicure she proceeded to confirm the price with me, I agreed....strange when my feet are in the water but okay. Further another customer complained that the staff was talking trash about her because the women were shouting and laughing in a foreign language. She proceeds to give me a pedicure. Not a bad pedicure so my faith was increasing in the establishment; however, once they're dipping my feet in wax the "manager" comes over and tells me that she is giving me the Chocolate Spa Pedicure for $2 extra because they can't find the hot stones. She attempted to explain to me (four times) how I'm paying three dollars less than the hot stone and not receiving what I requested. She proceeds to blame the lady performing the pedicure and her lack of English and I still failed to understand how this was my issue. Needless to say, I will not be returning and my toe nail polish chipped two days later and I didn't even bother to have it fixed as I was so disheartening and disgusted by my treatment and their lack of customer service. DONT waste your time or money ladies and gentlemen! read more

They were so accommodating to our party of 20! This is the 2nd year our group has gathered here for nails. They let us celebrate Galentines day and even stayed late for our party of 21! They got our whole party taken care of quickly but also let us gather and enjoy drinks. At one point I was laughing so hard I got nail polish in my hair and messed up my nail. They fixed my nail and took it out of my hair too! Thank you for being such great hosts! We will definitely be back. read more

I saw that Simply Q opened a few months ago and since I live just a few streets down, I thought I would give it a shot. I'm always looking for a local salon to get my eyebrows done instead of having to drive all the way to Mount Pleasant to my normal place. After looking up the salon's menu online, I saw that their brow wax is $12, so I figured I would give it a go since my brows just needed some cleaning up. When I walked into the salon, I was immediately greeted and taken to the back room where the waxing room is. I would tell you the stylist that helped me, but she never introduced herself. She did a preliminary plucking and then went to the wax. The wax was hot when applied, but I didn't think anything of it since it is, obviously, a brow wax. It wasn't until the stylist got the wax in the hair by my temples that I started to get alarmed. She apologized and said that she was trying to rush and needed to slow down. She then pulled the wax out of my hair with her fingers and gobbed baby oil in it to try to remove it. When finished, she offered a free blow out to make up for the wax in my hair, which I declined because I just wanted to get out of there at this point. When she showed me my brows, I noticed they were much thinner than I would've ever gotten, but that didn't bother me since the brows will grow back and I can also fill them in. What does bother me is that since having the wax done on Sunday, the redness and tenderness around my brows hadn't gone away. Today, three days later, the skin around my brows have started to scab due to the burns. I am not a cosmetology expert by any means, but I have been getting my brows done for 10+ years and I have never, not one been been burned and had scabbed skin from the wax. I would discourage anyone from going to this salon because of my experience. read more
