No Saint is so much more than pizza! We came for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the whole experience. The wood fired pancakes were not only visually gorgeous, but were insanely delicious - a light crispy layer on the outside, with an airy texture on the inside. They are a must try for sure! We also really enjoyed the mushroom frittata, so much so that we devoured it before taking a photo. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. I can't wait to go back and introduce more friends to this hidden brunch gem!

    Strawberry cream puff

This is a fun and quaint Italian restaurant on a busy block with other restaurants, cafes and bakeries in Northeast Portland. I first went for its weekend brunch, drawn by their pastries, which are enticing as you walk in and they display the day's offering on a tray at the bar. You get a preview of what the pastries look like before ordering. It feels luxurious to get a pastry and a coffee and just enjoy the morning, which is also nice in the summer with their outdoor seating (which is first come first serve). The first time I went for brunch, it was nice and quiet. Then apparently a review came out and the next time I went it was packed, and a bit of a wait for service. Still, the food is great, and the kitchen staff is pretty quick. I really liked the strawberry cream puff, with the shell of the puff being so crispy on the edge but soft inside. Probably the best cream puff I've had in Portland. Their cannoncini was also a really perfectly backed pastry. I did try some of their brunch items, which is limited to a few seasonal items. The strawberry tartine was interesting. I also had the fritatta, which was tasty, and a bit of a dramatic presentation with a big piece of peppery greens on top. I will warn you that the bread items, which are toasted, does bite really hard, almost like the consistency of a crouton. But I actually love toast so I like by bread extra crunchy. Some people might find it too hard. Another warning is the prices are on the steep side. You kind of pay for the quality. And I'm a light eater so if you're expecting big portions, you'll be disappointed. For dinner, they're known for its pizza, and while I enjoyed it, I felt that the starters were more exciting and beautifully crafted. Like a kampachi crudo that looked so beautiful when it came out. And a seasonal snappeas and turnip dish was like spring on a plate. You definitely need to make a reservations for dinner, although they do walk ins at the bar and outside. No Saint does remind me of another popular all-day cafe in town, even to the point where they both have the same policy of putting an automatic 20% service charge. I feel No Saint has the edge for having a more neighborly vibe. I do wish their weekend pastries could make their way to the dinner dessert menu, which again felt a bit limited in options. Still, this is I come back to again and again.

Food was great... you can see in the pictures all the amazing food we got. The hostess and waiters were all very nice and attentive to our food restrictions (we have a few). The day was beautiful when we went to the restaurant, but unfortunately the sun was directly in our table and made a bit too hot and uncomfortable, that's the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars.... But I'll definitely come back to this restaurant.

I needed a latte and this one was $7.20 for to go and includes automatic tip. Cute restaurant with a cozy feel and open kitchen. Nicely decorated. Please come and create your adventure.

Came here for dinner and was seriously impressed. The portions are large and clearly meant to be shared, which worked great for our table. Food: Rigatoncini al Vodka (4.5/5): Fresh and not too heavy. The spice level was just right, very saucy, and the breadcrumbs added a nice crunch and texture. Three-Layer Lasagna (5/5): Looks flatter than traditional lasagna, but wow, this was amazing. Very creamy and rich, with crunchy breadcrumbs on top that added great contrast. Different from what I expected and absolutely delicious. Leek and Hazelnut Pizza (4.5/5): Thin crust, garlicky, and nicely wood-fired. It had a good mix of savory with just a hint of sweetness. It also felt lighter than most pizzas, but still very satisfying. Pear, Walnut, and Caramel Gelato (5/5): The portion was huge. Perfect balance of flavors, refreshing, smooth, with a little crunch from the walnuts. My wife loves gelato and I am usually just okay with it, but this one was outstanding. I do not normally enjoy pasta much, but every pasta dish here really impressed me. Service: Friendly and attentive. Just a heads up that a 20 percent service fee is added to every bill, not just large parties. Ambiance: Small and pretty crowded, but still enough space to move around without feeling uncomfortable. Lively and energetic, especially during dinner hours. Overall, fantastic food, great for sharing, and a place I would happily return to.

I've passed by No Saint a couple times whenever i'm grabbing a cone over at Nico's so when I was craving some Italian I decided to check this one off my bookmarked list. Each time i've passed by it always looks busy so I was lucky to grab a spot outside at their communal table as I just walked in. I was outside the whole time so I can't speak to the ambiance inside but i'm keen to comeback another time to try their pizzas. I made this stop primarily for their baked vokda rigantoni after seeing all the photos on Yelp. I love me a vodka sauce and became obsessed after trying it at Carbones. The portion size is definitely one to share but the plate they bring it out isn't as deep as it looks. Be sure to mix it well so you get a mix of the burrata in each bite! Overall the pasta was cooked well but I would like it a little saucier. It did pair well with the bread to soak up any remaining sauce but I would probably skip it next time. When I sat down they asked if I wanted bread which I thought was complimentary but then saw it was $5 on the bill. Lesson learned next time to confirm but the bread wasn't anything special. No Saint has a higher price point so definitely more of a special occasion spot since the pasta will run you $30+ usually with the built in 20% tip.

The quarter is placed for perspective.

No Saint is right. $15 for a puny sandwich, maybe 2.5" X 7", then add a $3 to put the sandwich in a box? Gads! The sandwich had some good qualities, but those were almost obliterated by overuse of the ol' salt shaker. Recognizing that prices have gone way up, no!, prices have gone wayyyyy up, any way you twist and turn this a net $18 is ... hmmm ... silly? Naw, how about usurious? The place is cute enough, but we won't repeat.

Honestly, I have no complaints. I'm hungry just thinking how soft and tasty the bread was. It's a cute little spot but still feels like a special occasion type of dinner. The pizza was tasty and the folks working were nice. I would definitely try their other pizzas.

The standouts of No Saint were the service, grilled kalettes, and the tiramisu. The palloncino bread came out burnt, so we had to discard nearly a quarter of it. The ladysmith cheese and balsamic were just 2 sad small triangles unmelted. The pistachi pizza came out overdone and I had to discard most of the blackened crust. I was expecting more saltiness, more flavor but it was a little lacking. Rigatoncini a la vodka was decent. The breadcrumbs were burnt at the top. I would have liked more sauce as well. When we arrived around 6 on a thursday, there was a 30 min wait so we shared an ice cream at Nico's nearby. There's nearby residential street parking.

Loveee No Saint!! It reminds me of Tartuca and Lovely's Fifty Fifty. With frequent menu changes with seasonal ingredients, No Saint is a charming Italian eatery with wood-fired dishes. They have an impressive wine list, perfect for all your pizza pairings. We got the grilled corn & jimmy nardello's peppers pizza, tomato & stonfruit salad, and burrata & berries. Everything was great! I love their incorporation of seasonal fruits and vegetables - it was like a taste of summer. For dessert, we got the tiramisu and it was lovely. Not too sweet or alcohol heavy - it was the perfect sweetness with sweet mascarpone and hints of cocoa and coffee. No Saint has a concise menu, and they do it well. You will not be disappointed! Offering reservations through Resy, this is your sign to come for a great meal!

Had an awesome visit last week for a Friday date night. The place does take reservations and I would encourage them as it does fill up quickly and is not that large of a space. The atmosphere was quaint and lovely. It's a bit of a U shaped dining room with the kitchen being in the center of the space. I liked the setup and the lighting and decor was nice. It was rather loud however, given the proximity of the tables, so keep that in mind if you're looking for something a little more intimate. I assumed the vibe would be more upscale given the prices but it was a mix of dress from casual to date night. Service was solid throughout the night. Servers were kind and attentive. I will say the pizzas being made fresh mean they do take some time so make sure to order that early if you plan on getting one. There's also a takeout option which appeared popular. Lastly, the food, which was quite delicious. We wound up going for the roast carrots, vodka penne, pistachio pizza, and tiramisu for dessert. The penne was tasty and rich without actually being that heavy. It had smooth tomato flavors and was light enough even with the buratta to have room for pizza. The pizza was outstanding and was both unique while still being familiar. It had a warm nutty taste and tasty cheese all around. Crust was also great. The true standout may have been the tiramisu which I would definitely encourage if you have the appetite. As a non coffee drinker it's not usually a dish I order but it was absolutely fantastic. Super creamy and fresh, and so decadent we actually wound up taking some home. Definitely a place I'd try again for specialty pizza and dessert.

incredible food amazing service and gorgeous atmosphere - breakfast is as special as dinner and the coffee is also great . the attention to every detail doesn't go unnoticed - and the service is so sweet. I can tell they care a lot. the food is some of my favorite in Portland , period.

On a picture of the menu, I saw that there were quite a few items that were vegan. The description of the food sounded delicious! I instantly wanted to check this Turkish restaurant out! I also immediately thought of friends that lived in the neighborhood! I messaged my friends telling them I wanted to try this place out. Now, most of my friends have busy schedules, so it takes quite a while to coordinate. As luck would have it, 3 of us were available this very day! We arranged to meet at 1:15ish. While waiting for my friends, I got some complimentary Turkish tea, it was quite good. Then I put in an order for the appetizer sampler plate. The order arrived just as my friends did. They actually walked to the restaurant. The appetizer sampler consisted of Ezme, Tarator, Muhammara and Eggplant salad. Three of the four items were vegan the Tarator contained yogurt. My favorite was the Muhammara. My friends enjoyed the shared appetizer. It came with pita bread, and when the basket was emptied, we were asked if we wanted more. For my entree, I ordered the vegan Tantuni wrap with oyster mushrooms. The flavor was outstanding! My friends were both loving what they ordered. A friend also got the turnip juice. Said it was an interesting flavor, was not expecting that. The ambiance was casual but inviting. The service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious! I definitely plan on coming back again!

I had a great conversation with the staff about the restaurant's growth since opening six months ago. This time around, we happened to be shopping nearby before lunch and were able to make it in. This was at around noon on Saturday and it wasn't too busy at all even with the great sunny weather. We were only a bit peckish at the time, since we had just eaten three pints of fresh Hood strawberries, so we opted to share one sandwich. I quickly placed the order at the single kiosk (only kiosk ordering is available) and the sandwich arrived soon afterwards. Interestingly enough the chef somehow knew we were sharing the sandwich and had it split into two wrapped packages instead of a single one. Really nice gesture and shows how attentive he is. Now the sandwich quality, unfortunately, didn't meet my expectations. The O.G. ($17) - The sandwich first starts with a nice and crusty Ciabatta roll bun from Dos Hermanos. It's served slightly toasted warm and has plenty of chewy developed flavor inside. The bottom bun is slathered with some mayo. For this sandwich, putting the mayo on the bottom is actually really important and done correctly. This allows the creaminess of the mayo to dampen some (but not enough, as will be described later) of the slaw on top of the pastrami. I tried eating the sandwich both right-side-up and upside-down and it's a totally different eating experience due to the sandwich construction. On top of the mayo are probably ten thinly shaved slices of pastrami. It's smoky and seasoned well with plenty of peppery flavor, but it doesn't stand out very much especially due to the onslaught of slaw. To identify the pastrami flavors at all, I had to remove pieces from the sandwich to eat individually. By far the most numerous element of the sandwich is the banh mi inspired slaw. It basically consists of a tiny amount of small cubed carrots, pickled to give a little acidity and extra crunch, a bit of red onion, tiny pieces of cucumber and an overwhelming amount of crunchy cabbage. Think of a real banh mi - the large sticks of cucumber and the julienned carrot and daikon, all distinct and delicious. That's not this slaw. In this slaw, everything is all mixed together into a blend that muddles the ingredients together into a mess. The slaw is dressed in a ton of hazelnut chili crisp. I actually couldn't identify the flavor as hazelnut, instead thinking it was peanut. It's smoky and only slightly spicy, but it's also really acidic, really overpowering. It's a ridiculously strong flavor that completely dominates everything else in the sandwich. As I stated before, I literally couldn't taste the pastrami at all over the acidic chili crisp and slaw. The meat gets completely lost. I'm really wondering if the chef only read the Acid section of Samin Nosrat's seminal book? I'm not a fan of this sandwich at all. It's lopsided in construction, way too much chili crisp and slaw, muddling all of the flavors underneath the slaw. There was so much chili oil that it made a large puddle underneath my sandwich and I had to reorganize and fold the butcher paper to prevent the oil from running out and staining the table. I had to do this several times while eating, balancing the paper after every couple of bites. The slaw pooled out of the sandwich, falling onto the paper, yet it was so runny I had to use to fork to pick up the pieces, lest I cover my hands in spicy oil. Looking around, I wasn't the only one to run into this issue. If I have to use a fork to eat a sandwich, yet still have a mess on my hands, well this shop has lost the plot. I'm also confused how exactly is this sandwich is "banh mi" inspired. The only overlap is the pitiful amount of pickled carrots. Nothing else here goes in banh mi. It's their take on it, but fails to capture the essence. (2/5) I like sandwiches that have good flavor and balanced construction. The sandwich I received at Pasture PDX was anything but. It was honestly one of the worst sandwiches I've eaten in recent memory. Bathrooms - Single unisex room
