On a perfect sunny day, we were looking for a great outdoor patio and this place delivered. Despite the whole city seemingly being out and about, we were fortunate to snag a table, and our order was taken promptly. I had the agua fresca while my husband went with a beer. Both drinks were crisp and refreshing ,perfect for a warm day.We started with the beet salad with burrata and also ordered a pizza. The food was fantastic, and the portions were generous. Service was fast and friendly, which made the whole experience even better.

Great place to grab lunch and have a beer. Good vibes! Service is great and friendly! Had a great chat w the waiter about my tastings. My favorite beers I tried here were Shifting dreams, Similar Science amd the papyrus iris was amazing!! We were able to get a taster of ET foam cone which was very smooth slight bitterness.

Food was amazing, service outstanding and drinks stood out! Cute place with a nice bar. We came here on a recommendation after hiking Witches Castle. Had the Neighborhood Dog & Brain Glow to drink with the Tommy Pickles sandwich and Double Vision pizza. Definitely would recommend all of the above options.

Service was so great on a wednesday night! Our table shared the caesar salad, which was one of the best I've had! I thought it was perfectly dressed, not too much, the croutons were delicious and I appreciated the black pepper shaker with it! Our pizza had hot honey, pepperoni, peppercini's, and mozzarella cheese. Our waitress was great and replacing our water carafes and asking if the people who ordered drinks wanted refills. She also let us hang out for awhile and chat after she cleared our empty plates. There was a blazers game on and they had that on the tvs, I would say it's a chill spot to hangout and catch up or watch a casual game.

One of our go-to breweries in Portland. Great beer and the Detroit style pizza is definitely a hit.

Detroit Style Pizza

Excellent Detroit Style Pizza and good beers. The atmosphere is very bright which I love in a bar, clean and they have a nice sized TV. We did go for a major sporting event when it wasn't overly busy so it would have been nice if they could turn the sound on but they weren't able to do so. Overall though, service is good and the employees are friendly. My biggest complaint and deterrent from Ruse is the high beer prices. $8.50 is quite high for a craft beer in Portland, especially when they are brewing it themselves. Would go way more frequently and be a 5 star if not for that.

For the people who give less than 5 stars just because they don't have food... 1) It's a beer shop. It's not a pub. You go there to drink beer and perhaps watch sports. 2) They DO have food. Albeit, only snack bags and a peanut dispenser, but technically, that is food! This is my favorite place to get beer in PDX, and I feel ashamed that I haven't been there more often. CHEERS!

Bridgetown Beerhouse wasn't empty but it also wasn't overly crowded like some other nearby places at this time of night. They have some outdoor seating along the store and in the converted street parking. Inside has bar seating with multiple taps and some round tops. TVs had the game on (which game? I don't know, I don't do sports. I just know people were watching and cheering). There are multiple fridges well-labeled with types of beer, which is what I went straight to. I took a while debating what I wanted - the bartender greeted me but didn't offer help choosing. That's fine, they were busy enough, but expect to be on your own here. I ended up finding some winners that I hadn't seen elsewhere so I'm pleased.

Happy hour on our first night in Portland, I specifically chose Bantam Tavern on Taco Tuesday…read morebecause of the reviews. I got a margarita, $10 on happy hour and the special tacos. This is a small comfortable neighborhood pub, with a few tables and a long bar. We sat at the bar. Bartender was cordial but not very interested in us, seems there were locals to chat with. I was disappointed I didn't get to try the chili roasted carrots, which were shown as a side or appetizer on the website menu. The bartender informed me they were only available in the tacos that day. I didn't order the carrot tacos, just two grilled chicken tacos. But at his suggestion, I ordered a $9 roasted vegetable and romescu sauce as a side dish. It was spectacular! Fennel, beets, yellow squash, all fresh and tiny like they came from the farmers market that day. The chicken tacos were loaded with charred chunks of chicken thigh, red onions, cotija cheese and cilantro. So much meat! The corn tortillas were a bit stiff but held up fine. And the chef introduced her cucumber salsa when she brought out our dishes. It was lovely, but could have used a lot more than the tiny cup provided. No second drink for me that night, happy hour was over. But the margie and tacos were spot on! Husband had a taco combo for $12 that I failed to photograph. We were both stuffed and happy. Still wondering about the carrots though!

Our group enjoyed pizza, the beet salad and the BLT as well. Everyone enjoyed the meal they ordered and there were 0 complaints. The portion sizes are nice, and the prices are even better. The salad portions for the 1/2 sandwich 1/2 salad combo was huge and I enjoyed every bite. THE DRINKS I tried the non-alcoholic hop water and that was a nice take on a NA drink. I enjoyed it when it was fizzy, and the free re-fill was nice. Later, we tried a custom beer flight, and it was nice to be able to customize the flight. The bartenders will help you craft a custom mix you are happy with. THE ATMOSPHERE Overall, it was lowkey, great atmosphere, the music wasn't too loud, prices were on point. Parking is somewhat easy to come-by depending on when you are rolling up. I would come back here again if I was in the area and I'd feel comfortable bringing a group of friends to gather here for games.
