Took some friends here last night who we're visiting for the weekend. We got there at about 9:30, there was a good crowd but plenty of room, they were impressed with the place. While 2 of the group went to the bar, myself and one friend stood in what we thought was a fairly unobstructive spot until I felt someone kick the side of my leg. I jumped and turned around to see a tall girl breeze by with platters of food. I was shocked. Tried to catch her as she flew passed to comment on the kick but she was out of sight before I knew it. It wasnt too hard for me to figure out that I was in the way and she may have tried to shout before she kicked but when you realise someone can't hear you because the music is too loud, kicking someone out of your way is pretty out of order. She then passed in the distance twice and looked at me both times but made no effort to explain why she kicked me or apologise for it. So after a while I went to the bar to ask her if she, or the manager had anything to say about it. It turns out she was the assistant manager! So I eventually got her to talk to me, and I'm sure she knew why I said I wanted a word. So I said, "you just kicked me out of your way, is there anything you want to say?" Of course at first she almost tried to deny it by saying it was a tap. No no, I was the one who felt it and it wasn't just a tap. So I said that to her. Then she said she was shouting at me for ages and I didn't hear her. I'm sure my friend who was facing her direction would have seen her if she was there for any length and the fact that she said I didn't hear her shows that she knew a I didn't know she was there. Thankfully she apologised but when she tried to tell me she apologised when it happened and imitated the shocked look on my face when she had kicked me, it kinda took all the good out of the apology. Again, "I didn't hear" the first apology but I'm not convinced there even was one. Eitherway I think kicking someone (a customer) shouldn't even be a consideration for an assistant manager and is totally out of order. I've been in here plenty of times and it's sad that this is the one memory that will stand out in my mind when someone mentions the No Name bar to me in future. If I ever go in here again it will be reluctantly and I know I'll be very conscious of agressive bar staff attitude which, when trying to enjoy yourself isn't really something you want to have in the back of your mind. Good luck to the owner having someone like this working for him. read more
