The coffee truck was manned by two friendly baristas, who I assumed were the owners, and they cranked out our lattes pretty fast! In case you wanted to sit and chill a bit, there are a few tables/benches for sitting too. When browsing the menu, their specialty lattes sounded so tasty. We ordered an iced butterscotch latte and an almond splendor. My friend really enjoyed his iced butterscotch latte. He said the sweetness balanced the coffee strength well. As for the almond splendor, I liked the almond taste but thought it was too thick and milky. Definitely a sweet treat coffee. In the future, I would get the almond splendor again but maybe with an additional espresso shot!

Their popular drink is the Almond Splendor, which is what I tried. There is parking in the lot shared with other food trucks, but it feels like a really random spot off the side of a busy road. Nonetheless, give it a try if you're driving by! You order and pay at the counter and they will make your drink. Overall, my experience was average (nothing really stood out) and the drink was good, but nothing to write home about. It was a little milkier than I'd prefer, but thick and creamy which was nice. I'd give it 3-3.5/5 and would consider trying it again if I'm in the area.

When I saw that Kyoko Coffee had a 4.9-star Yelp rating based on 34 reviews, I was intrigued and knew I had to check it out. Kyoko Coffee is a Japanese-inspired coffee truck located near the ACC Highland Campus. The business operates out of an adorable, retrofitted microvan that immediately catches your attention. There is a sitting area used by multiple food trucks...overall laid-back environment. They also have free parking available My go-to coffee order is usually a latte, so I was excited to explore Kyoko's menu. Their specialty drinks feature Japanese and Asian-inspired flavors. According to the barista, the most popular drinks are the Tokyo Banana, Kyoko Dreams of Ube, and Miso Piloncillo. Since these flavors were all new to me, choosing a latte flavor was challenging. In the end, I decided on the Miso Piloncillo. The drink was smooth, well-balanced, and enjoyable. To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from a miso-flavored latte, but the flavors blended together nicely and created a unique coffee experience. The coffee machine was apparently not performing optimally that day, so my drink may not have been a good representation of what they normally serve. Kyoko Coffee was a pleasant stop. It is important to note, the small size is truly tiny...possibly the smallest coffee serving I've seen in the United States. If you prefer a more substantial cup, I recommend ordering the larger size. Also, expect to pay a bit more than you would at a typical coffee shop.

This is honestly the first time I've had a nice warm bagel, to the point that my strawberry cream cheese spread so nicely on top. The bagel was the perfect warmth, and each bite was so soft and flavorful with all the raisins. Another first: I ate the whole bagel; it was just that good. The coffee was just as good and cold. No over-the-top sugars; the coffee was just right. I mentioned cold because I like that the coffee had a lot of ice. Some places give you a few ice cubes, and that's it. That burns me up. I have to mention the service. The gentleman was so accommodating and had a calm spirit. He was so nice when I ordered, and when he saw me struggling to lift the umbrella, he came right over. So embarrassing for me, considering I work in the housing business; I should know how to lift an umbrella. But anywho, I enjoyed my time, bagel, and coffee. I will certainly return this week.
