5/5 Great Coffee and Great Connections! I started hearing about Ugly Mug back in December of 2016. In January, I walked in for the first time and sat in the corner to absorb the atmosphere. Since then, my visiting of Ugly Mug has become a regular thing. I go in every morning and am cheerfully greeted by the employees. I have had several of the drinks on their menu and am delighted to say that they are all expertly crafted and delicious. I have built relationships with the workers and other regular customers at Ugly Mug. The baristas make it there mission to remember the names of customers who come in regularly. Each Saturday I use there conference room to meet with a group. It is an excellent space for meetings with a great cup of coffee. Their food is beyond delicious! The Breakfast Mugwich paired with a Mugshot coffee is great before school and work. If anything is ever off, the staff is great to work with about fixing any issue and are excellent at customer service. Atmosphere: Great for work or fun. Easy to do school or work because of the relaxed environment. There is a good number of outlets and USB ports around the room for charging phones and laptops. It is also a great spot for meeting with friends and having either light or deep conversation. Coffee: The coffee is excellent. Espresso is fresh ground for each coffee. Each drink is crafted for a perfect taste. If you like a more sweet flavor, there is a list of custom beverages for you. For those that like a more dark coffee flavor, the Mugshot or Ace High would meet your standards. Food: The food is made fresh in the kitchen at your beckon call. The Belgian Waffle is perfect if you are in the mood for something sweet. For something more filling, the Mugwich or BLTC is a great meal! Staff: Each staff member loves the work they do and they are all extremely friendly. They all have fun and greet people cheerfully. They are great with customer service and if any issues arise, they are quick to make it right! Overall: The Ugly Mug is a great spot to stop for a quick coffee or to hangout for a couple hours. If you love people and coffee or need to fill your caffeine addiction it is definitely the place to check out. read more

How does one describe "delicious?"....in the case of The Ugly Mug, well - it's indescribable!! Our first time here but - by far- definitely not the last! I had the BLTC ((Sorry, so good & fresh - got lost in the taste & forgot to take a picture)), includes your choice of sides and super satisfying (generous portion - easily shareable but trust me - you won't want to lol ). Ordered a small caramel macchiato - soooo good -wishing it was a large! The atmosphere was relaxed, casual and welcoming. Great place to chill with friends, family, etc. Free Wi-Fi ~ niches to bring PC to study or just drink some awesome coffee & catch-up with your FB friends. Music is relaxing too... we haven't left yet & can't wait to come back & try some of the pastries!! read more

This place was wonderful for coffee and food. I am normally an iced americano girl with just a tad of flavoring to sweeten it up not too much to overpower the espresso flavor. I decided to order the frozen iced americano with just a tad white chocolate. It was my new favorite way to enjoy an americano. The ice was blended to make it super creamy yet refreshing for the warm weather. I enjoyed my americano with a BLT and side salad which was made to perfection. read more

I don't get how this place has such high reviews. We came in because of the reviews. Right off the bat TERRIBLE service. They had 2 teenagers working the front with terrible attitudes. Didn't know the menu, weren't willing to find anyone else who did, & didn't know how prepare drinks. My drink was a large cup filled with lots of ice, milk, & a tiny bit of coffee. It was light beige. In no world should coffee be light beige. My sandwich left also left a lot to be desired. It said on the menu it had a bunch of items on it (I got the Mediterranean chicken), but when I got it, tiny piece of chicken & barely anything else. Mainly bread. & the side was a joke. Pitiful amount. Not many options for vegetarians either (they weren't knowledgeable about this either). The place was packed, lots of younger kids, but I'm guessing it's all they have in this area. Honestly, I could have & will go to a Starbucks for better service, a much better cup of coffee, & sandwich for half the price I paid here. Skip this place unless you like having rude teenage staff make you over priced milk & bread. read more

Coffee shops are a dime a dozen now days, but every now and then you find one that stands out among the others and Ugly Mug Bean and Brew is one of them! Besides the essentials in a coffee shop today: Great coffee and free WiFi access with power, this place also has great service and a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, unlike your rushed franchise coffee shops like starbucks which always seem to be chaotic. Ugly Mug is a great place for that morning/afternoon pick-me-up; and, with indoor and outdoor seating options, makes it a great place for meetings. Two of the times I've ordered breakfast here it took about 30 minutes to get to us. Both times we had the Belgian waffles on the order so I think that may be a factor- I've noticed these wait times don't happen for people only having mugwiches. (And the most recent time was not due to kitchen backup- the people who ordered immediately before me got their food promptly and had time to eat their meal and leave before the kitchen finished my order) That kind of wait is generally fine for dinner maybe even lunch but breakfast items need a faster turn around. Strawberries always seem underripe and a little mealy. At the prices they charge you'd think the product would be better. I saw a sandwich sit on the counter right next to the hand washing station for a good 15 minutes. In my opinion, the breakfast experience isn't worth the price (over $20 for two people having a meal and a coffee each) Coffee tastes good and gets made quickly. Still a bit expensive for me so I only get it as an occasional treat. read more
