The salon has ample parking, but the sidewalks are poorly shoveled so be careful. The salon is usually at a conversational volume, but nothing too distracting. I get gel builder applied to my natural nails with designs and they typically last 5-8 weeks. I pay anywhere from $55-$80 depending on the services I ask for. My nails have grown so long over the last 2 months. I will never go anywhere else. You shouldn't either! read more

Their prices were competitive and the staff was responsive when approached, but what will keep me from returning was the fact that some of the staff were wearing what I would call pajamas or bed clothes. They also had music videos playing on the tv monitor with dancers who were dancing in a very sexual manner. To me the attire of the employees and videos playing were disrespectful to the patrons. The last time I went in to get my nails done I was the last one in there and she kept complaining saying "I'm sorry I'm just hungry " . I really like this nail salon! I've been a constant at local nail salons for more than twenty years. My experiences, like everyone else's have been great, but also hit & miss while searching for a new place to become a regular at. I had been going to the same salon for a few years, on and off, finding new places to go when I've lived in other states. I'm new to Detroit and so finding a good nail place online has proven to be hard. The place needs a deep clean. Had to ask them to sanitize the work station twice. Shouldn't this be a habit by now? Truly the worst experience I've ever had at any nail salon. The place is absolutely FILTHY and none of their tools or foot baths are cleaned properly between uses. There was toenails and trash all over the floor, empty beer cans behind the nail stations, and random stuff everywhere. The staff was extremely unprofessional verging on rude. My friend left with cuts under every finger that bled and they did not care. Not to mention their tools were dirty and cutting her exposed her and others to infections. Welp, I came to this location after the yelp reviews. Service- decent but my nail tech was the guy who was semi condescending. I asked him about an uneven nail and his response was, "have I ever had my nails done before". I found him rude but I gave the benefit of the doubt. In addition, I felt very rushed and there wasn't a large clientele waiting. Quality- you get what you pay for typically but not in this case. I paid for dipping and added tips to my nails that were shorter. I went out of town for 4 days and my nail had chipped by the fourth day. By the 8th day one whole nail was off. By the 14th day, 2 nails was off. So I gave up and made an appointment with a different shop. I'm not impressed with the service or quality enough to give another try. read more

I'm extremely picky when it comes to makeup, cosmetic services, such as nail salons, hair and, what have you, so much so that, I avoid them at all costs due to past experiences and go through the trouble of DIY-ing everything I physically can at home. On my lunch break from work I read some good reviews about this nail salon and finally overcame my fears (mostly because I was dreading my nail color and didn't wanna do it myself again after a long day of work) so I got some shellac done. They turned out very nice with no stabs, no blood, no infection this time, and no rude customer service lol (sadly it's what I used to get all the time and became a regularly expected thing every time so I was so pleasantly surprised at how nice and polite everyone there was) The two young ladies that serviced me were great, very polite and actually made conversation and asked me about work and school and I reciprocated and was made to feel comfortable. They made sure I liked the shape and color and tried to do it fast so I can get back to work in time, so thoughtful! The salon is spacious and very well organized with all pricing and colors there for you when you walk in. There was a huge flat screen TV behind them as they worked. It was entertaining for customers and convenient, I felt. They did a good job on my nails, only reason it's not 5 stars is because they didn't remove the color I had on completely and it remained in the corners with my cuticles stained but over all the shape and color is very cute and I got a lot of compliments. I came here last week to get my nails done. I got a fill in and my toes polished. Two days later two of my nails broke and my polish is chipping(chipping on hands and feet). I got my nails done by a guy. He did my nails too thin. This was my first time coming here. I came a few days after and explained that i would not be able to come get my nails fixed until the weekend. I am back again to get my nails fixed. 1. There's no autoclave to sterilize utensils in sight. They place them in a SHALLOW BOWL near the sink where you wash your hands and the brushes are brown at the bristles! The nail tech attempted to charge me ---$90 ---for a fill in with 1 repair and French design with manicure. After having to ask for reshaping twice. The manicure was my hands dipped in hot water and her pushing cuticles back then minimal clipping. No massage, no scrub, there was still chips and dry skin before she put the oil on my hands . I refused to pay for the poor manicuring. For $90 I could have a Russian manicure that would last 3 weeks. Plus she expressed attitude when we tried to select my base color and I wanted to see the Chrome selection they WOULDVE been an extra $15 so since that was too much of a hassle I then settled one more time. There is a shield between you and the tech but was placed two feet from another client. He asked me to put my hands on the table, that's when I asked if they do any sanitizing. He then used hand sanitizer and wiped down the arm rest but not the work station and then got up to get a clean kit. No clean buffers, looked quite torn up. I think they took advantage of a teen not knowing what they're supposed to look like. I called them to get a redo and came there on a Saturday. I AM VERY HAPPY! I just found my new nail salon while I am visiting my family in Metro Detroit! I drove by it and was intrigued by the cheap prices advertised on the window. I wanted to get my nails looking perfect for the holidays, so I decided to try this place. I was very pleased with the results. It's $10 for a fill-in and $15 for a full set. It's also $15 for shellac or gel nails, yes the ones you have to have dry under a UV light and lasts for up to 2 weeks. Coming from NYC these prices were very cheap and affordable. Jackie and her husband are the new owners. The place is under new management and everything was updated and remodeled. Definitely check the place out! read more

Didn't see a license posted anywhere. He didn't wash his hands or have me wash mine. He didn't wear gloves. The chemical smell gave me a headache. I asked not to have nails or cuticles cut but he still managed to injure me just pushing back my cuticles. They burned. They chipped in 1.5 days. My friend went with me and was so freaked out about the lack of safety she was afraid she needed a tetanus shot. read more

This was the grossest place I have ever been. None of the tools or materials were cleaned. They tried to cut my cuticles after cleaning a wad of someone else's dead skin from the cutters. They didn't clean the pedicure tub after I was done, and they just wiped the nail files off before reusing them on other clients. Everything was covered in nail dust, nothing was sanitized. My first visit was a 5 star experience. Unfortunately, my second was only a 2. The first time I had Tony and he was amazing. Great attention to detail, quick, and efficient. The second time I brought my sister and mother. My mother's fingernail polish got messed up right after we left (that may have been her fault). My sister's tips were filed crooked and one of her toes (she asked for white polish) turned pink by the woman she started with, but she did like the job done by the guy who actually designed her nails. I have no problem with my toes. The girl who did them suggested I get the dipping powder rather than the shellac on my hands because it lasts longer. My right fingernails ended up lighter than my left and one of my nails chipped not even a week after I left. When I went to Tony, my shellac lasted up until I returned to get my nails done again. So much for longer lasting. The prices are decent and the environment is quiet and clean. I might give them another chance, but I'm definitely going to ask for Tony again. Or maybe the other guy that works there. read more

This was a weird experience. I'll start by saying I have only gotten my nails done a few times and I'm not familiar with nail salon culture. I took my daughter and friend to get manicures and the staff were abrupt and unhelpful. Like they said "pick a color" and when the girls walked to the wrong place, they got huffy but didn't say what we did wrong - one of the other customers gently corrected us. Or when I said we wanted manicures they said "well on the phone yesterday you asked for a mani/pedi." Um no I didn't. Et cetera. Interestingly, they were rude to the other patrons too and openly talked s*** about them. And then the patrons openly talked s*** about the staff. It was hostile, tense, and stressful. We all left feeling thoroughly demoralized. But like I said, I'm not familiar with nail culture so maybe it's a normal part of the experience?
