The menu clearly states coconut chicken - chicken, beef, and shrimp with mixed vegetables for $11.75. Sounds perfect to me even if the name sounds a little odd, considering everything that they're going to put in it. I placed my order, and they told me it would take 10 minutes. It was spot on 10 minutes, and I was out the door with my order. The food was hot. I had to gather my condiments as none were placed in the bag. However, if I understand correctly, that's how things go after covid. The spring rolls were flavourful but had more roll than vegetables. My coconut chicken came in 3 containers, apparently the coconut sauce, the white rice, and the fried food. I was expecting that I should see vegetables in my container somewhere in to my dismay there were none. I went back in and asked about the vegetables. The response was, " Oh, the menu is wrong. We don't do that. It is just the chicken." To which I responded, "I believe you should update your menu to reflect the items people are purchasing, is your description in the menu is incorrect." Unfortunately, this may have fallen on deaf ears from the expression on her face. Moral of the story: Confirm everything you're reading is accurate when placing your order and before leaving the restaurant. The food was good and hot, but it would have been better if it had been accurate. Now I need to go find some vegetables!

Take out Seafood delight, pork fried rice and chicken lo mein.

Food is usually overcooked, owner lady is rude, and if the daughter takes your order. It will be messed up.

Never have been disappointed! Food is fresh, hot and portions are plentiful. One of my favorite places for when I'm in a Mukbang mood.

Great Chinese food. Have lived many places and always try to find the best Chinese around. So glad that I didn't have to look far.

Tried to go to the Royal Buffet in DeMotte but they're closed until July 5th, so decided to give…read morethis place a try. Got there around 2:20 and not a car anywhere near the place. "Open" sign was on. Walk in. Narrow little room with plywood sheeting on your right . . . over time I concluded that there used to be a dining room there but it's now plywooded [can't really say "walled"] off. Little window to order through. Small table with a handful of menus. Color papers printed and stuck on walls showing "pictures" of some of their offerings. 1. The rather unpleasant young lady who took our order and our $135 screwed it up.. I clearly said, and pointed to, Hot Singapore Chow Fun as one of 7 entrees, a PuPu Platter, Egg rolls, Chicken Teriyaki. Instead of the Singapore, I got the House Special Chow Mein. How do I know? Because they give your menu where she circled the items. I wasn't going to drive 46 miles round trip to get it corrected. 2. Greasiest egg rolls I've seen, let alone ate, in my 64 years. They actually dripped grease as you bit into them. A bit over-fried, too. 3. Chicken teriyaki was so dry, they should advertise it as chicken jerky. Not worth 1/3rd of the $8.25 for 5 sticks. The stuff that comes out of "Jacks Links" Jerky is more tender and has more moisture. Royal Buffet's chicken sticks are 100x better. 4. Scallops in PuPu platter had too much batter, and probably the minuscule shrimp, too, but it could have been that there wasn't any shrimp at all, could be they just gave me batter with a tail. Crab rangoon was quite good. Egg roll's in PuPu advertised as shrimp . . . I'd need a lab to verify there was single molecule of shrimp in that cylinder of grease and crisp shell. 5. Daughter thought Mongolian Beef was "really, really good" and she also liked her House Special Lo Mein. She also really liked the white rice that was provided. 6. Didn't talk to son about how the house special fried rice or chicken and broccoli were. 7. Haven't had my kung pao chicken yet. 8. House special chow mein [given erroneously] wasn't inedible. Never had ordered it before so I had nothing to compare it to. Will never order it again. Anywhere. So food: 2 1/2 stars Service: 1 star [Young lady wasn't very pleasant and seemed to be put out by having to take our order] Ambience: 0 stars [a dump], even for what's now basically a carry out place Rounded up from the average of 7/6ths to give a reluctant 2 stars. Next time, I'll be more than happy to drive an ADDITIONAL 46 miles round trip for better food.

Similar to our last order these meals were totally missing flavor and moisture. Even the lo mein dish was dry and very lacking in flavor. Checked with the neighbor before reviewing here...they agreed with my opinion. we will not be ordering again! (it is totally takeout service and FYI..no description of the dish is given when ordering ). Take out is picked up through a boarded up wall inside a set of doors which was constructed during Covid...dining room has remained closed. Again.,what a waste of $90.

The restaurant appears to possibly be family owned which, being blunt, I think we should all try to support these small businesses as they are being replaced by more and more chains especially in the area where China Garden is located. There are several booths and tables when you go inside. I see people dining in on a regular basis, in my case, I do take out. Menus are also outside the door on the right, possibly carried over from the pandemic days when this business valiantly kept their doors open and had a very, very well organized process for picking up on the other side of a screen type door - right where those menus still are today. I know as I picked up food there many times and know several neighbors and friends did too as we were determined, like many, to help these small establishments stay afloat during such an alarming time. I tend vary my menu choices, the latest choice has been shrimp chow mei fun, shrimp egg rolls and of course, the ragoons. Especially this time of year, I also enjoy the egg drop soup. Shrimp egg foo young is another favorite. Over the years and to this day (I picked up an order yesterday), the food has always been freshly made, abundant (I got 3 meals from the shrimp chow mei fun which is typical for me from any entree I order from China Garden) and more than reasonably priced. While I have seen other places skimp on food portions , ingredients and increase prices, I have not seen this from China Garden. I see them go the extra mile to provide value and quality. They are all very courteous, friendly and kind. The thank you that I always receive is genuine. All and all, they are a class act and I am glad that I have them as a dining option.

It was supposed to be chicken... but questionable what parts were used. I never write reviews, but before you drop $100 like we did...Don't! The older woman there also was so rude and bothered by me picking up food 1/2 hour before closing and that I had the nerve to ask for the dipping sauce for eggrolls. She said that is not included?! I asked since when? She said since it is expensive. She talked to the worker behind the plastic curtain in a different language and it was obvious they were talking rudely about me as she peeked around the curtain to look at me. I ran to my car to get my credit card and came to purchase a few and told by her she cant do it by credit card! I should have told her to take the food back and refund me as it was shocking to be treated so horribly as a customer. But I had hungry kids in the car. I am shocked a business in this economy would treat a family spending over a $100 so awful and seriously over a 5 cent condiment. Never ever ever again
