As he had never had them before, I had just gotten done explaining what a bao bun was and what a delicacy it was. When the food came out I intended to have one and for him to sample the other, but upon trying mine I realized this would be an awful first experience with a bao bun and may give him a negative impression of the dish altogether as the bao buns were EXTREMELY DRY. A demoralizing experience and I'm surprised I was even able to win my pool match after such a subpar meal, which shook me to my very core. It is my ardent hope that Mien Noodles is able to master the bao bun as a way to give those who have never had one before the joy of the bun. It is the decent and right thing to do.
