    Expensive for mid. cold food

Did not have high hopes for this place but wanted to try since this was the closest buffet near us. I started with an assortment of sushi since that looked the freshest. Then got items from the hot trays. This buffet is fairly small with only a few areas each for food. All the food seems like it was sitting there from lunch and would randomly get replenished. This place was also not the cleanest with the dirtiest bathroom I've seen in a long time. This is concerning since how are the food practices here? Ithe best food items that were decent (not amazing) were the sushi and the fried chicken wings which you cant really mess up. Not sure if I will return to this place since there are better Chinese buffet elsewhere.

Grand East buffet is probably the best Chinese food buffet in Delaware. The food was so fresh, and they constantly kept selling more and more food. The coconut shrimp was probably my favorite as well as their dumplings. I went on a Friday noon for lunch, and there was a good number of tables occupied. Probably about 8 or 10 of other guest. The staff did not smile at all but they did a great job and provided great service. They were always coming by to clean up your plates as well as refill your drinks. There was not a moment where we did not have water filled. I also love that they don't continuously check up on you to make sure you're OK. Feel like this is the type of service that you get in countries outside of America where you don't have someone constantly over your shoulder, which I totally support. TLDR - food is delicious and fresh, Super affordable and I love the service

Not a lot options to choose from...got here 30 mins after opening the food was OK some of it food was bland but still hot so I can't really complain. The service was cool the waiter lady was smooth, the ambiance was OK as well could use more light in there overall my rate for th stays the same

Grand East Buffet is a comprehensive Chinese and Japanese buffet located in Wilmington, DE. The choices are endless. They offer Chinese and Japanese delicacies along with lunch special, along with combination platters and Chef's specials. They also cater to patrons who are dieting. There are three large buffet stations as well as a sushi bar featuring sushi and a wide variety of sushi selections including fish along with special rolls, all freshly made. There was also fresh seafood, shrimp as well as mussels. All the condiments were available-wasabi, ginger etc. The desserts were somewhat limited but they did have an ice cream machine. There was a great deal of staff constantly clearing the tables, cleaning the food stations and seating patrons. It was a great experience and I would recommend and return.

Soon as we walked into the door, we was greeted and sat very quickly. The server was super nice and amazing. The food was freshly made and out on the line for everyone to enjoy. They had a wide variety of food and desserts. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm. Only thing I would like is for them to have some liquor(adult drinks lol).

Best example of a chinese buffet that I've been to in a while. This place has the freshest sushi I've seen at a buffet, with so many appetizers that it's not worth it to ever order take out again. Three or four types of dumplings and shumai, egg rolls, spring rolls, and a huge variety of fried and steamed options made up the only a fourth of the buffet. All of the basics were pretty good-- the fried rice, pepper steak, broccoli and chicken, and lo mein all looked and tasted like a better quality place. Didn't get to try the fish, but the chicken, beef, and pork were all very good. Although it's not in my area, it will be my first choice when I go on a weekend drive and need a great deal. Alright for a chinese place, great for a chinese buffet!

Several light bulbs not working. Dark and gloomy looking inside.

It was basically a restaurant with a huge gift shop, a toy store and restaurant that was so popular you'd have to wait an hour to get in. As a kid I loved it and I've develped a fondness for these touristy restaurants. Not tourist traps because those are usually overpriced and not good. Millers Falls into that category for me. It's a gigantic restaurant with several adjacent stores and lots of branded items. But the attraction of course is the smorgasbord. Yes, that's essentially a buffet if you're reading this from one of my home towns on the west coast or Southwest. The place is huge and you'd think it might be slow to get or confusing but it's extremely well run. There are multiple stations such as Salads, Local Favorites, Appetizers and the ubiquitous carving station. I'd say stay away from the carving station; the roast beef was dried and a little tough. But everything else was great and very fresh. Some highlights included brown butter noodles, chicken pot pie (sortof a dumpling) Cabbage bake and ham balls. All the regional PA specialties are really delicious. The pickled eggs, pickled beats and spicy gardinera were yummy too. A gooey oatmeal pie was a delightful and delicious desert, but there were dozens of deserts to choose from as well. The wait staff were friendly and super efficient. If you're visiting the Lancaster area it's well worth the visit.

Having…read morenever attended one of these buffets, I wasn't aware of all the idiosyncrasies connected with participation. When we sat down we were immediately approached by a very pleasant smiling server. Her first question was whether or not we had ever frequented Miller's before? We said that this was our first time. Question #2 -What can I get you to drink? She then rattled off all kinds of soft drinks. We asked for a raspberry tea and an unsweetened tea. She kept our glasses full throughout our lunch. I was surprised to see a charge of $3.99 per drink added to our bill. Now I don't consider myself cheap. BUT, please say "would you care to order some beverages? Since this is your first time drinks are not included" The food was possibly a step above a college cafeteria. When i asked one of the food attendants "where's the beef"? he replied only on weekends. If you like pork and ham you're in good hands- they had what looked like a compressed turkey breast as well. The potato soup was very good and the fried chicken acceptable. So i was looking forward to the desserts. I love cherry pie so i took a piece and a piece of yellow cake with chocolate frosting.. You have to understand they cut 10-12 pieces out of a pie, small servings. After one bite of each as i pushed them both aside my wife had a stunned look. Knowing they are my favorites she was shocked i wasn't eating them. They were absolutely not worth the calories. BTW the coffee was lukewarm and the cup size was 4oz. at best. I'm glad i got the Amish Country buffet out of my system and hope I saved you a trip and the $80+ we paid with the tip.

The hash brown wedges were pretty good, as was the French toast. And they had 100% pure Vermont maple syrup Overall, good value but overhyped. Lobsters and crabs were abundant. I learned about this place awhile ago from YouTube of which many gave praises. We frequented many mid level AYCE places like this and we've found that as time goes by, quality degrades with restaurants like this. Now there was a rather long length of time between discovering this place on YouTube and actually visiting this place. I wonder if the praises that were sung about this place were still valid. I would say yes. As previously mentioned, lobsters and crabs were abundant and makes it worth the trip on that alone. As for the other offerings, it was mostly surprisingly good. Don't expect Michelin quality food here. Generally, it's about the quantity BUT the food is pretty good. The sushi/sashimi shocked me a little. AYCE sushi is usually just passable but here, I thought it was pretty good. Everyone in my group loved the quality of the salmon. Other offerings, of which there were many, were pretty good. Standouts were the lamb chops in my opinion. Dessert options wasn't as extensive as the other AYCE places I've frequented but they do the job. Aside from the usual fountain soda options (serves by the restaurant staff) , they had a few fruit drinks and a milk tea option as well as some specialty drinks in a can. Scale 1 to 5. (Keep in mind that this is based on quality you'd expect from a typical AYCE restaurant. Food 5 (large selection of food and that shellfish!) Service 5 (Friendly staff and were pretty efficient in clearing the plates) Cleanliness 4 (Place was well kept. Deducted 1 star due to the stickiness of the floor around our table which reminded me of a movie theater floor... lol) Value 5 One con to point out. The restaurant was rather large yet the bathrooms were small and couldn't accommodate a lot of people at once. Not a huge quibble as the wait wasn't astronomical BUT it did seem odd that the size of the bathroom didn't match the size of the restaurant.

The restaurant was busy due to the holiday, but the staff managed everything well and kept the buffet running smoothly. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, especially for seafood lovers. We really enjoyed the crab legs, which were refilled frequently and tasted fresh. The shrimp dishes--including fried shrimp and garlic shrimp--were flavorful and well cooked. There was also a good selection of fish, mussels, clams, and seafood stir-fry, which made the seafood section the highlight of the meal. In addition to seafood, Ichiban had plenty of Asian and American-style dishes. The hibachi grill was popular, allowing you to choose fresh ingredients like chicken, beef, shrimp, and vegetables cooked right in front of you. Sushi lovers will appreciate the sushi and sashimi selection, which included rolls, nigiri, and fresh fish options. The Chinese classics such as General Tso's chicken, lo mein, fried rice, and dumplings were tasty and comforting. Dessert options included cakes, cookies, fruit, and ice cream, which were perfect for ending the meal. Overall, the food quality, variety, and festive atmosphere made our New Year's Day visit enjoyable.
