OMG!!!!! a group of us tried to eat here for lunch... when the hostess brought us to the table -- there was a BIG cockroach on top. no, it was not a palmetto bug - it was a massive roach. It was so disgusting. the hostess took forever to go get a napkin to get rid of it. and then... when we sat down.. there was another roach on the floor. we literally ran out of the restaurant. Whether you are looking for a quick in and out visit to pick up some gorgeous baked goods or you have decided to sit and dine on their lunch buffet, this little gem is incredible! I have been here at least 1/2 dozen times in the past 4-5 months of first discovering this anomaly in South Florida. I would have to say that I have not ventured a ton past their gyro platter which is truly something to experience as well as their lunch buffet which was amazing. If you are in a huge hurry, no problem you can grab some of their sweets and other items to go (you can buy samosas by the piece!). The staff is extremely friendly and everything is made in house! If you are there at the right time, you can see them bring out the baking pans with the goods still on them to stock in their display case. If you have never experienced sweets like this before, they will walk you through it and even let you sample before committing!!! I love Indian Buffets and especially Tandoori Chicken. I cannot compliment the owner enough who was friendly and personable. He came out of the kitchen and chatted with the customers like being with your uncle or family. I found the buffet was hot, fresh, and tasty with just the right amount of seasoning. Everything was fresh even tho I came near the end of the buffet. They added food to it yet they did not have to since I ate into the end of the buffet time. I really appreciated the extra time since I was late so they accommodated me. The Tandoori Chicken was excellent and I tried to sample everything except the vegetarian foods. I tried various curries and liked the butter chicken and chicken tikka. They made me hot fresh roti. It was like eating at a huge family dinner. It may look like a small place but you are treated like family and the food is delicious. I wish I lived closer by so I could come in once a week. The price is extremely reasonable at around 10 dollars and I added a tip because it was more than worth it. This place is a hidden treasure. read more

Great spot for Indian and Pakistani sweets. They have been supplying these since for the past 15 years and they are simply the best in all of Florida. Food is great. I am not a fan of their bbq but there nihari and naans are on the spot. Also, their halwa poori breakfast on weekends is amazing. I have had folks from canadax chicago and New York say that they haven't had any better than this. Service is ok not that bad, and wait time is also not bad. read more

The sweet we ordered tasted like it was fried in used oil. I threw up straight away.I called the owner to tell the same , he was downright rude and screamed back over the phone, he was implying that I don't like the taste and that I am finding reasons to return my order. He was more insulting and loud when we returned the food. Never have seen such a rude business owner. They were insinuating that the Customer is not always right. The food was delicious! The decor is outdated and customers were noisy but other than that the price is reasonable. I would recommend you ask for disposable utensils cause our silverware came out dirty so it made me question about the cleanliness. However the staff is friendly and the waitress was very accommodating and attentive. read more

The food was ok, but the service, not really. There was only 1 person working in the front and he had a bad mood the whole time. Some of the food was unexpectedly spicy and some just tasted bad. Went there with a few friends... never again. The biryani was half frozen and nihari was luke warm when we got it. The worst part of this experience was the service. The waiter issued a 'standard' 20% tip even though we had to repeatedly get up and ask for water and he did not come around once to see how we were doing. My daughter has a sweet tooth and was craving for some Indian sweets. We had very good past experience with Nirala. Unfortunately, this time's experience was awful. The sweets were so stale that we actually had to throw away the box. First off, I've been here before and the food is good...that is, until today (Sunday, March 16). My wife and I ordered halwa, puri, naan, haleem, rice and paya of which only the puri was any good. Ah yes, as soon as we ordered food, we also ordered hot tea. The halwa was a tiny serving, the naan overdone and too spicy, haleem was bland, the paya's seasonings were off and the rice was very undercooked. The hot tea? Well, that was not delivered to our table until we were nearly done....one sip and it was nasty....looked like and tasted like mud with not even a hint of tea taste. When we were done eating, we sat for nearly a half hour and no one came around. Neither was anyone behind the sweets counter and a half dozen dirty tables that needed cleaning. Finally one of the employees came over and could not remember what we ordered to compose the bill. We'll not return here. read more

I did not enjoy my experience at this place. I spotted baby roaches all over the place and I wouldn't be surprised if the establishment was also infested with rats. The servers were abrupt and unconcerned with serving us. The food was horrible. The chicken was all undercooked and tasted like nothing, and the other dishes were also substandard. I do not recommend going there to anybody, and since I know many of their customers I will be telling all of them to discontinue their patronage. read more

I live in Forest hills, new york near jackson heights area and have eaten at various Pakistani/Indian food in Jackson height/hillside and Manhattan area. I visited Nirala first time with my mom, we had Halwa puri, chicken tika leg tandoori and Saag. This was the best Puri and saag I ever had. Puri was large size and soft, Halwa was excellent, so was the saag. Even my mom who is critical of resturant food was highly impressed. On the way out owner gave me a sampler of walnut halwa. Again I was impressed with the quality. Will return to eat some more good food. . read more

I can only say this I never had such a great Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi food in any restaurant in State of Florida. Who ever complains the food was not great or the staff was not friendly to all of them I say please leave politics at home, be honest and appreciate the people who work tireless day and night, every day, to provide and serve us with the best cuisine of our culture. a great place to eat and for some reason when ever i go out on Saturdays my dad always tells me to get gulabjamoon which is a sweet dough in a sugar syrup and man does it taste plus the food their is great true authenticity only a slight problem tho always a slight problem the sweets are sometimes stale but i always try them first to see if i should buy them and without a dought its a great palce read more

I really dont know why i went there man name Nick in the front was smoking and the food was not good at all plus they have charged me tip without telling us which really pissed me off and when i ask the man he said the owner set that up so definitely i will complain to the city about this kind of charges which is illegal and will not go ever again. so please look for the receipt for the charges.!
