Great family owned business reasonable prices cars and highly informative. Wish all used car…read morepeople were like Bailey. I was referred to these place and I have to say honestly it was perfect and within my budget. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with this family.

Went to look at a car, Bailey wasn't there on this Saturday but the mean, crude parents (or older…read morepeople were). I asked where Bailey was--no response. Then I asked about the Toyota Celica convertible. Father (or older man) grunted, got the keys & removed the car from the parking spot. Then grunted at me, pointed at the car, then walked away. For $3500, even though the car was a Toyota & the body was in pretty decent shape, it was so overpriced. I took a friend with me to help. I LUV LUV LUV vehicles so I've learned some stuff along the way in ownership. I had my checklist. 1) The most important thing was the OBDII computer system. There were no check engine lights on, but I had my bulky reader/analysis system. There so MANY codes erased that I guess they didn't know if a person knew what they were doing, they could find all these codes. Every code from emissions to solenoids to misfires. I got the best mechanics in the world--I called them to tell them the codes, they said to fix everything would be upward from $2000. Then I told them the people wanted $3500 for it with 180,000 miles; mechanics said either get them down to $1500 or walk away. It had 180,000. 2) The transmission had been replaced & there was no mention of it on the website in the vehicle description. There was no paperwork either. I asked, older man grunted. I saw "11/97" on the transmission itself (we went under the car too). No knowledge of how many miles was on this tranmission or what the odometer mileage was when it was swapped out. 3) Convertible top went down easy, wouldn't come back up 100% on it's own. My friend had to pull the top up beyond a certain point on the rear right side just to keep it moving. I own covertibles so I know easily about $1000 to get a new motor/mechanisms. No mention of the motor getting ready to fail. 4) Oil wasn't the best. Oil filter looked like it was changed. WHA??? 5) The interior was dirty, seats were dirty, dashboard was dusty. The middle console was removed and replaced with some sort of homemade box. But the factory console was in the trunk. It should have been put back in before trying to sell to show original condition. 6) I was NOT allowed to take for test drive. Bailey was the KINDEST guy, said it was ok to drive around the block or so, which is one reason I wasted a cold cloudy, Saturday afternoon to go look at it. When I told the older man Bailey said I could, you can guess---he grunted at me. But he knew how to say "NO". I told him the car wasn't work $3500 in its current condition & I'd offer $1000 for it since the convertible top wasn't working right. "NO". Then he said something under his breath in a foreign language. I ignored it. I said ok, turned the car off, left the lot. I had a Carfax with me but it didn't mention about the transmission being changed. This made me wonder what else was going on with the car that I didn't know. Realized this car was for someone that considered this a "project". So I told him the keys were in the ignition & I left. He and his wife just stared at me & I stared right back at them. Bailey is the nicest thing that has EVER happened to this car lot. IF you want to buy a vehicle at this car lot, you: ---either be a mechanic or take one with you, they won't let you drive the car off the lot for anything; ---take a Carfax so you'll have some idea of what is happening; ---be prepared to spend more money than the vehicle is worth because you WILL have to put money into it before you can really start enjoying it, if it'd even make it back home. If you tow it, get it towed to your mechanic. If you can drive it, drive it right to your manchanic; ---If you don't go when Bailey is there, then DON'T GO AT ALL. There wasn't ANY kind of positive customer service mechanism in place. You leave there feeling like you were never welcomed in the first place. ---Be prepared to WALK AWAY. I believe if I had Bailey there, he would have cared & worked with me on price or something, but no one else did. Now the one thing I WILL say about Bailey--he was willing to let me put a deposit down on the car and pay him unti it was paid in full. If you just gotta buy a vehicle there----DEAL ONLY WITH BAILEY. I didn't get such luck.

It really couldn't get easier or better. I'm impressed! I know a bit more about the car business…read morehaving been around dealerships and my late husband owning a shop. For me years ago repairs were easy, I just gave him the keys. If we didn't it, he'd send it off to someone and it would get done. We weren't a body shop, nor a detail place, but we knew people. But that was some time ago. Those people are now retired or have passed on. So I'm left to my own resources, asking around and internet research (reviews.) I bought my SUV and there was a slight gap at the bumper after about a month, I did take it back and they just pushed it back. Never looked right. but it was okay. Well now this time I did it backing into a garage there was this wrought iron basket, not mine. My bumper caught it and it pulled away. It looked bad and couldn't be ignored. What's damaged, I don't know, do I need a new bumper because something got damaged behind it, again, no clue. I came across Carrectly, was impressed by the reviews, also was impressed by the pics of Dixon P's bumper repair. So I sent an email requesting a quote for the repair. Oliver replied fast with an accurate quote and information. He also answer all questions I had. I decided to give them a try. So glad I did! How much time is wasted on dropping off your vehicle? With them none, same for pick up. Yuri was so pleasant and helpful, I inquired about getting a detail, specifically the inside. It really needed it. He gave me some info, but said I should speak to Oliver. At first I was going to go mini, but then went full. When I inquired he told me what they do for each, there was no upsell, no pressure. I will say it looks beautiful. I also had them do some touch up where the paint came off. The gave the exterior a very good wash. I'm very pleased with the whole process, and recommend them highly. I'm proud to be seen with my vehicle again, instead of walking away quickly. You know how it is when you ride looks trashed. So glad I made this choice.

I called McGrath Lexus of Chicago today, October 7, 2026, and initially spoke with a salesperson…read morenamed Juan. Juan took down my information and advised that a manager named Heather would contact me. Heather called me shortly afterward. During our conversation, I explained that I was interested in purchasing a particular Lexus and asked whether I could be placed on a buyer or contact list in the event the vehicle is discounted later in the year. My understanding is that dealerships sometimes offer additional incentives or discounts toward the end of the year as inventory and model years change. I made it clear that I was not in a rush to purchase and that I was flexible regarding the vehicle's color. Heather responded by discussing tariffs and explaining that prices were not necessarily expected to decrease. I understood her position, although I responded that manufacturers affected by tariffs may receive certain refunds or adjustments and that, in my opinion, a price difference of approximately $15,000 was difficult to justify. Regardless, my intention was simply to obtain the best possible deal, and I was perfectly willing to wait. Had the conversation ended there, I would have had no issue whatsoever. Unfortunately, Heather's tone and conduct then became unnecessarily dismissive and disrespectful. She told me that perhaps I should consider buying an electric bicycle instead. I found that comment extremely inappropriate, particularly coming from someone in a management position. I have already filed a formal complaint with Lexus Corporate under case number **261007000954**. Had this been an isolated rude comment from a salesperson, I may have simply disregarded it. However, I believe a sales manager should be held to a significantly higher standard when interacting with customers. A manager represents not only the dealership but also the Lexus brand, and I did not expect to be spoken to in a belittling or condescending manner simply because I was attempting to negotiate the purchase price of a vehicle. I introduced myself to Heather as Ali Shah, although my full name is Afaq Ali Shah. Given the nature and tone of the interaction, I was left concerned about whether my background or name played any role in the way I was treated. I cannot know Heather's motivation, but the interaction was troubling enough that I believe dealership leadership and Lexus Corporate should review it carefully. This is a roughly $65,000 new vehicle, and I am also a returning customer. I live in Plainfield, Illinois, and there are numerous Lexus dealerships much closer to me. Nevertheless, my family's previous experience with McGrath Lexus in 2017 was so positive that I specifically wanted to return to the same dealership for this purchase. That history makes today's experience particularly disappointing. Customers should be able to ask about pricing, discounts, or future incentives without being mocked or told that they should purchase an electric bicycle instead. I am requesting that dealership ownership and senior management review this interaction, address the conduct internally, and provide me with a response regarding how this matter will be handled. I also believe Lexus should be aware of how customers are being treated by individuals placed in management positions at an authorized Lexus dealership.
