    Preserved Lemonade and Thai Tea
    Rachel G.

No frills, big flavor, great service. My partner and I visited for the first time, and wow. We were pleased with our dining experience. The restaurant is unassuming, with a small parking lot and minimal interior decorations. The menu is broad and, for those unfamiliar with Vietnamese food, illustrated alongside names and descriptions of each dish. We got spring rolls with shrimp and pork. They were large, fresh, and delicious. We also ordered a rice noodle dish with marinated pork and a pho dish with beef. Both were outstanding. The noodle dish was savory and bright with fresh veggies, including carrots and cucumber, and a tasty dressing. The pho had an outstanding broth with a generous serving of beef, noodles, sprout, and cilantro. The portions were generous; we ate until we were stuffed because the food was too good to waste! We also got an iced tea with boba and jellies, and a preserved lemonade. The lemonade was a miss, but I think this was because I didn't really know what to expect. (After looking it up and finding an alternate name is "salty lemonade," it's clear the drink was what it was supposed to be, but wasn't what I was looking for that evening.) The iced tea, on the other hand, was lovely! We will definitely be back and hope to enjoy this lovely place with friends and family, too.

I was visiting friends in the area and they brought me here. Annville Township, where Ninh Kieu is located, has a population of ~5,000 people and less than 1% of the population identifies as Asian (2021 census), so I was surprised to find such good, unapologetically Vietnamese, food. We went for dinner and got the nem nuong spring rolls, pho tai chin, southern style bun rieu, and a couple other dishes. I didn't get any pics cause I was too excited and was focused on catching up with friends. However, I enjoyed the food so much that I went back the next day after I had already had brunch, before my drive back to MD, and ordered a bun bo hue for dine-in and a pho tai to-go. The bun bo hue is a different style than any other I've had and the pho broth was some of the most flavorful I've had. The size small servings are generous - I had leftovers from both dine-ins and split the pho takeout into 2 servings. It stayed delicious even as I ate it over the next two days. The couple who runs this place is so nice and they have their wedding and family photos up in the restaurant and their kids doing homework in the dining room. You can tell this place is important to them. Apparently, they are fixtures in the community and have provided 1cent pho for people who have lost jobs, given free meals to honor roll students, and offered discounts to seniors. If you're nearby, stop in and support.

I love their idea to help the kids. The food is amazing. Especially when you are not from this area and craving some authentic Vietnamese food. Oh if you're a coffee drinker: try the black coffee espresso with sugar. Make sure you have good coffee tolerance or it will surely wake You up!

my family LOVED the pho here. very authentic flavor & SO fresh. this was my first time trying pho and I have fallen in love. I live in California so I won't be able to come back for a while. But if I get the chance to come here again I would love to. Very friendly service and felt very welcomed here.

When Michael was growing up in the neighborhood, this place was the local convenience store. We drove by his childhood home a few days ago and we're so excited to see there is a Vietnamese restaurant here so yesterday we came here for lunch and we are so impressed! The food is truly authentic and delicious! It's also very reasonably priced. We had a wonderful time visiting with the owner and are so impressed with how involved he is with the community. He is a huge promoter of Honor Students and offers a free to motivate them to keep up the great work! We wish John the best of luck and success with his beautiful restaurant. We look forward to dining here again the next time we come home to visit.

Tried this restaurant one Sunday and was very satisfied! I had the spicy tofu pho with imitation crab meat with a salad and white gourd drink. The place was well organized and clean, staff was very friendly. Very relaxing atmosphere for lunch. Meals are a little pricey, but you get a lot and very delicious. I would highly recommend!

I got the pork banh mi, pork vermicelli and the shrimp summer rolls. The pork banh mi was delicious!!! The baguette was perfectly chewy and fluffy, the grilled pork was juicy and flavorful and the veggies were crisp and fresh. The shrimp summer rolls came with the delicious peanut sauce that tasted incredible. I will definitely come back here often when I'm in the area!!! I called and ordered for pick up, and it was ready within 30 minutes. The pickup process was seamless. The owners wore masks and provided hand sanitizer.

Pho -Eye Round Steak (before cilantro, basil, hoisin, lime juice, bean sprouts)

Great as always. Ordered some more things that we had not previously ordered. Yummy! It is a quiet atmosphere and relaxing place. Service was nice. Enjoyed all the items we got- eye round stake pho, marinated bahn mi, rice with chicken, pork with noodles, spring rolls. Like the sprouts, cilantro, lime, sauces that we got with the certain dishes. Have been here many times and will continue to come back!

    Soldier statue out front

There wasn't anyone here for the whole time I ate. The food is reasonably priced. The US soldier statue out front is a bit odd for a Vietnamese place. The fried Eggrolls were good, the summer rolls were great. The phó was ok. The menu stated the broth was fat free. It tasted like a vegetable broth. I am not sure why they had vegetable broth with my beef phó. I like and enjoy a good fatty beef broth. It was lacking here. The owner was taking care of her daughter doing homework at a table. The service was lacking.

This one caught our attention and being a fan of pho we stopped in. First the atmosphere is that of a bar. A woman told us to sit where ever and someone would be with us. The place was pretty full, 25 or so people? Tables so close together we were almost sitting on the people behind us. When I tried to sit at a more open table a waitress rushed me saying "NO YOU CANT SIT THERE! I have a party of 8 coming!" That's fine but don't tell me to sit wherever then scold me when I pick an open table. The menu is another dead give away this place wasn't going to be up to our expectations. Listed on a placemat surrounded by local ads is something I expect from a diner or pizza place. Not bad but I've never seen one at an Asian eatery. Prices are what I've seen at other Pho restaurants but the quality is lacking here so I cant justify paying that. Waitress finally stopped over after 20 minutes with water and took our orders. I got rib eye pho and summer rolls. Husband got pad thai and "cheesesteak" egg rolls. Pho and summer rolls came first and after waiting another 20 minutes pad thai and egg rolls came. Pho was fine but had a strong cilantro taste and maybe 4 thin slices of beef. No extra sides of lime, basil, mint, or bean sprouts that are usually served with the dish. Summer rolls were supposed to be pork and shrimp but there was no pork to be found. Husband's pad thai was bland and lacking flavor. Maybe had 5 shrimp in total? Cheesesteak rolls are a joke. $8 for what looked like basic small spring rolls? No thanks. All the while we ate they were setting up for karaoke night. More staff seemed to be coming in, or people who knew staff, but just talked or yelled at each other getting pretty loud and noisy. Glad we left before the karaoke started. After not seeing our waitress for a bit we went to the counter and just paid the cashier. Unfortunately due to the atmosphere, food and prices we won't be back. Seems as if you're not a local or regular they don't seem to care for your business. Also good luck figuring out when they're open. Website, Google, Menu and door all have different times so its like a lottery if you want to eat there.
