Walked in at 7:30pm on Sunday and they were only taking takeout orders. The restaurant itself is odd- it is in a house and the cashier/host area is in a circular booth with a roof in the middle of the restaurant. The restaurant itself seemed a little dank and dirty. We ordered pho and bun to go and it was OK. The pho broth was flavorful but the meat portions were very skimpy. The beef for the bun noodles was chewy and a cheap cut. The bun came with one small spring that was not even cut up. Overall, it was nice to find a Vietnamese restaurant in the area since we were visiting from out of town but will probably not go back unless we were desperate for pho. read more

This place is unique!! I'm curious what the building was originally designed and built for. We love Pho and Vietnamese cuisine and wanted to try a new one in the area. There were only two other couples dining in, it was kinda smaller in there. The iced coffee was delish, and the spring rolls also really good! I loved the addition of mint inside, some places don't always use it. The pho was good, but the broth more on the weaker side and the meat quality wasn't as good as where we usually go. But it was all good, I would recommend it to try. I'd like to try some of the other dishes, maybe a vermicelli dish next time. Service was prompt and food came out very quickly. read more

Came here for pho and was not disappointed. I got the veggies and tofu pho and the tofu summer rolls. Both were delicious but not out of this world. My partner got the steak pho which he really liked. The staff were friendly but not over attentive. The vibe of the place is a little run down but it's great for pho in the area! read more

Great Vietnamese place with all of the classics. So many variety of pho and for about $2 you can get a super sized bowl, but honestly, the reg size is enough food. Most people get a thai iced tea, but a fresh coconut water is a MUST. And I dont know what is that they do, but a Vietnamese style grilled pork chop always tastes better than any pork I have ever had anywhere else. Good eats read more

I am addicted to Pho and since we don't have any where I live, every time I have to travel for business to the Harrisburg/Hershey area a Pho restaurant is a must stop. This was my first time at this restaurant. When I pulled in at around 2 pm, I was the only person in the restaurant, but it was after lunch and way before dinner, so no biggie. I ordered the fried egg rolls and steak and brisket pho. Both were so good -- the pho had a yummy tasting broth and the meat was very tender. Decent pho that did the trick on a cold day. Service was okay, especially given they seemed to be short staffed (only one individual taking orders, bringing out food, cleaning tables, etc.). For appetizers, we shared the fried egg rolls with minced pork and vegetables (#1) and the Summer rolls with shrimp and pork (#2). Surprisingly I enjoyed the fried egg rolls more as I usually prefer the Summer rolls. Both were pretty standard, though. As my main meal I had a small pho with well done round flat beef and brisket (#17). The soup didn't have much flavor to it, and was slightly on the salty side. The pho was salty. There wasn't condiments available to improve the experience of the phó. I ordered an appetizer I hadn't seen before. The menu stated it was marinated beef wrapped in grape leaves. It was something to be desired. Not a fan of that. I also ordered fried Eggrolls. There were 15 tables. Nine tables were full. The others needed to be cleaned. The waitress taking care of the tables was doing everything. She was doing the order taking, the front end, to go orders, and the register. Four stars for the waitress doing everything. I found this gem on a whim. It was my first day off in 20 days. I must have gotten there at a downtime. It was very quiet. My host quickly seated me and took my order. I had to get the summer roll with shrimp and the #37 grilled shrimp and grilled pork over vermicelli noodles. I haven't had such a well-balanced blend of flavors and textures in ages. Sweet, salty, soft, and crunchy. I ate everything to my heart's content. Had I been alone in there, I would have licked my bowl clean. I left feeling giddy to have found such deliciousness. Pretty good place for Vietnamese food. Delicious and authentic. We were looking for a real asian meal and came upon this restaurant which is more or less 10mins away from Hershey lodge. Perfect! We arrived around 6:30pm and got seated right away. Place was very hot however since there were ten of us and we had to be seated by the entrance were the whole side was made of glass. Heat kept coming in but couldnt get out. Im not exaggerating when i say my husband order their House special Pho and was sweating beads as he was eating! He looked like he just ran a marathon. I mentioned they should probably put blinds or curtains to control the temperature since the air-conditioner wasnt working very well. Hope theyd consider that. As for the food, everything we ordered was delicious. I loved the shrimp summer rolls. They were light and tasted fresh. My order of grilled pork was very tasty as well. Meat was marinated good and i liked that they already cut the meat into pieces. Portions were enough and they also have good thai tea. Given that there was only one employee running the place, the wait time wasnt bad at all. I didnt get her name but i appreciated that she had really good time management, very polite and patient taking our orders. Even apologized for the wait (which like i said wasnt even insanely long) and for the uncomfortable temperature we were dining at. So im giving 4 stars because me and my visitors enjoyed the food, and despite the heat, service was very good. read more

From the minute I saw the restaurant I wondered if this was the best place to eat. The parking lot was empty and unevenly sloped, the stairs to the restaurant from the parking lot was cracked and one of the steps was wooden. The restaurant was completely empty at 6:30 except for one other customer. Nonetheless, I did sit down given the good reviews on yelp, and I asked the waiter for their recommendation on what to order. The waiter was very indifferent to my question, and just basically stared at the menu page, which was a bit irritating. Generally speaking, I think I'm flexible enough to try different entrees, basically anything the restaurant thinks is their best item because let's face it, if everything was good on the menu, I wouldn't be sitting in an empty restaurant. At some point, after some weirdness in the ordering process, I did get some orders in. When the food came out, the fish sauce was oddly colored. I've never had fish sauce of a brightly red color before. All of the places I've been to in NYC and Philly has always been more orange than red. I thought that was strange to start. I got some vermicelli bowl with grilled beef and fried spring roll, my companions got something similar with grilled shrimp, another for Pho with meatballs, and lastly grilled beef over rice. My companion with the Pho didn't like their meatballs so I ate them even though they didn't taste like anything at all and were super bland. I swapped the beef on my plate with their meatballs and used the strangely red fish sauce on my noodles. The food itself, given that I tried food from two other plates besides my own, was bland. Even the fish sauce was muted which I don't think I've ever said before. Overall, no flavor to speak of. Two hours later, I'm not feeling well. In fact, the morning after I'm still not feeling well and I think it's directly related to the food I had here. I'm not sure what the other reviewers experienced here. Given the indifferent service (I also had to get my own check for reasons I will spare) and lack of flavor in the food, I will not revisit. read more

I quickly looked up what was on the way home and Pho Miss Saigan came up! I have to say - this is one of the BEST Vietnamese places I've been to!! We ordered a variety of things - pho, chicken vermicelli, chicken fried rice, lemon chicken with rice. The meat was SO tender and delicious. The noodles of the pho were cooked to perfection and the broth had such a hearty taste while still being light. I absolutely recommend this place! The place was cozy, and there was only one man who multi-tasked on everything (receptonist, waiter, i'm not sure if he was also the cook). I ordered the spring rolls and a bowl of seafood pho soup. The fresh spring rolls were really good. The pho soup was alright, it could use a little bit more flavor. You can tell that the ingredients were premade since the noodles were stuck to each other and needed to be loosen up a little bit. I was recommended by the waitress the summer rolls and pho tai. The summer rolls were big in size and had a good dipping sauce. The pho tai was average which is a good thing. Upon landing in Harrisburg, I was chilly and needed something to warm me up STAT. There's always something I know I can rely on and no, it's not my puffy Patagonia jacket. It's PHO! I searched for pho near Hershey and Pho Miss Saigon seemed like a great fit. I was ravenous so quickly ordered fresh summer rolls with pork and shrimp, a small pho with beef, and a Thai iced tea. The spring rolls came out at lightning speed (score!) and were delicious. The pho followed not soon far after. The broth was flavorful and there were ample beef and noodles for me to slurp up. The Thai iced tea really hot the spot too. Honestly, there wasn't much I didn't like about this meal! I was warmed up in no time and ready to attack the cold. The service was very polite and quick. The whole meal was less than $20, with the pho itself only costing $8. I couldn't even finish it all because it was so filling!
