Nice place. I had the pork chop, which was very tasty, but on the cooler side in terms of temperature. Our waiter wasn't very friendly and didn't communicate very clearly. I asked if I could sub a salad for my polenta. He pointed at something on the menu and responded in a way that wasn't clear. Could have been a language barrier. Regardless, I didn't get the salad. There was a neighboring waiter who was more attentive and friendly named Stefon. I could tell our experience would have been way better had he had our table. He didn't even have our table but checked on us and was very warm and welcoming. Our own waiter never cracked a smile. Our waiter let our appetizer dishes stack up on our table. They weren't cleared till a little after our main course arrived. It was not busy. There really was no reason for this, especially at a higher end restaurant like this. The service was so bad we walked out before the food was served. We were immediately seated by friendly staff. And there we sat for another 10 or so minutes until the waitress took our drink order. We sat for better than 25 additional minutes before we finally got up and left. I did let the manager know we were leaving due to the poor service and he made no effort to stop us. We enjoy eating out and have been to many, many restaurants. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had. Failure on the waitress for not keeping us posted on the delays, failure on the manager for doing nothing to accommodate us. Asked for my breakfast scramble 'without green peppers'. Received my breakfast 'with' green peppers. It's frustrating for such a simple request to be delivered incorrectly. Went with a group of 8 as we wanted to try something new in town. Although the bar area is cool and the space is OK, it gave us the feeling that we were in more of a standard hotel restaurant. Two of us had the chicken dish, but the chicken was a bit dry. Others found their food similarly average. Service was OK. They were out of the ~3 beer choices that we wanted. Other than the hotel guests, I don't see this place competing in Wayzata with so many other rock stars within walking distance. read more

Pros: Great restaurant setting, food was very solid, service was so-so. Lobster bisque was very good. Mushroom omelette and tostada were also great for brunch. They had some live acoustical music playing in the background that was cool and not too loud. Cons: I had heard the food was good and the service is hit or miss. I can see why people say this and I'd have to agree. Our server seemed like he didn't want to be there and walked over and didn't even introduce himself. It was a very odd intro and exchange. He seemed like we were a hassle for him and forgot numerous things we had asked for and it took about 10 mn to get our soup we wanted first. My guess is they pre-make this, maybe not, but we thought it was odd it took so long to get the soup. We will go back and check it out again, but prob sit at the bar hoping for better service. read more

First visit and bit of a mixed bag. Nice place, very good service, comfortable booth with lots of room. We were waited on promptly and water was almost always full from attentive staff. We were not told of any specials so assumed there were none. We had the Beef Tenderloin and it was superb, albeit quite small. Perfect temperature and flavor was outstanding. We also had the Fried Chicken which had an incredible amount of hard breading around it, like a shell. The breading did not have a lot of flavor but once you chop that off the chicken had very good flavor. The potatoes and coleslaw were excellent. Overall value is not there for these summer time prices. read more

Let me start off by saying the only reason I give two stars is because the Bacon Mac & Cheese was delicious and the upper patio has a great view. Our service was atrocious. The server could not have been slower. Considering the fact that there was barely anyone there, she really had no excuse. My mom and I met some friends for drinks and apps on the upper patio thinking we would be there for maybe an hour or two. But when your drinks take 30-45 minutes to get to your table, and the food roughly the same, you don't really have a choice but to wait it out. Our server was not personable. Even the manager was not personable. It took forever to get food, drinks, even to refill water. A bit ridiculous in my opinion and judging from the other reviews I'd say this isn't just a problem that we have experienced. read more

Arrived for Memorial Day breakfast. We were told without a reservation we could only be seated on the patio. Waited 30 minutes for waiter to acknowledge us and had to get his attention, he said he did not see us. After ordering we waited an hour for our food and the waiter came out after an hour and told us the kitchen was backed up and he had no idea how much longer it would be. We have two children ages 3 and 5 who were starving and could not wait any longer so left without being served and ate at a nearby restaurant instead. Will never return. read more

Living a block away, we walked over to check out this new place. Very contemporary and classy place. The three of us sat at the bar. Bartender is friendly and personable. We had some wine and chatted at the bar. I had the pork shank. It was delicious and filling. Can't wait to come back and check out many other items on their menu. My husband and I went here recently. We heard wonderful things about the restaurant and so we decided to give it a shot. On the day we went, it was happy hour and the prices on food and drinks were perfect! My husband ordered a beer and I got a glass of moscato. Molly was our bartender and she was extremely nice and helpful! This hotel is located inside of the Hotel Landing that just opened this past June. It's a GORGEOUS hotel! The restaurant has 2 levels and the balcony is phenomenal! I loved everything about the atmosphere and the staff in the restaurant provided wonderful service to us. The entire staff was friendly! Multiple attempts to enjoy a cocktail, happy hour, dinner with friends or brunch here since this place opened.. all huge fails! The food quality and execution does not meet the price point, service is always flakey and seemingly uninterested in actually serving folks or providing a good experience. Post pandemic we have tried them again (attempting to support local businesses while remaining health-focused).. only to find that their staff is even more confused than ever about how to mix a cocktail, timing of happy hour, taking or executing an accurate order... and when politely being asked to have the correct items, each time you're shunned as if you should be grateful they let you walk through the doors. Now they are advertising outdoor dining igloos that you can buy online yourself for $30.. numerous folks throughout the Lake Mnkta Fan Page on Facebook have all had the same poor experience with this new "cool setup" attempt to gain trendy business during a pandemic.. folks are readily being lied to about reservation timings, their system not working & overbooking, etc., none of which I believe.. I truly think this is a real PR bait and switch - quite tacky on top of everything else. But I had to try for myself to see.. and guess what?! Arrived to be told they overbooked, blames me for "user error," and tried to guide me to an inside table in a corner.. we left. I will not be going here ever again.. and with a 3 star rating out of over 100 opinions.. I hope others can see through this smoke and mirrors ploy quickly so a dining spot that actually has passion in the kitchen and on the floor that is ran by folks who truly care about customers can step in. read more

The agnolotti pasta from the new menu is among the best pastas I've ever had in the world! I've spent weeks in Italy so I do know a good pasta. The sauce was a lovely pink sauce with Lamb and beef with tomatoes, fennel and milk topped with Parmesan cheese. I can't say enough positive things about how delicious it was. If l could have licked the plate I would have. Salad before was nice crisp greens, pretty plain but nice homemade salad dressings. I choose Lemon tahini. Service was friendly and efficient. I rarely eat in a hotel restaurant but was tired from traveling and was so pleasantly surprised. This is a town with many great restaurant choices. Don't miss this one. read more

I asked for straw (I have sensitive teeth and can't drink iced water without straw) 10 minutes left - no one brought that straw, no one took our order. New server came, took order and went to bring me my straw... 10 minutes later no one brought me my straw until I asked third person who brought me my straw. I couldn't even drink first 25-30 minutes. It was breakfast and there were just a few people in restaurant, it wasn't rush hour. Horrible on far too many levels. The staff doesn't communicate or train each other. They said they need to order more chairs. Happy hour wine is horrible so you order non happy hour drinks. They said they didn't have enough wait staff and were calling more people in. We waited over 20 minutes for a glass of wine and asked several servers to check on it. We never had the same person stop by the table. Some servers said tables at happy hour were reserved, others said that wasn't allowed. Four of us dined here for the first time for a friend's birthday. The layout is strange, and when my husband and I entered from the door not connected to the hotel, we were met with a sign asking us to see the hostess on the opposite side of the restaurant. This was a Saturday night at 7pm. It was not busy inside, yet when we got to the hostess stand there were at least three parties waiting with no hostess in sight. We went in search of our friends who had already been seated. One thing that stood out from the beginning was the inconsistent service offered by wait staff. A very friendly, experienced woman initially talked to us about cocktails and took our drink orders. Later, another woman who was the polar opposite (lacked social skills, seemed confused and "out of it") took app and food orders. A gentleman brought our first round of drinks. He was friendly and seemed experienced, but we didn't see him again unfortunately. The woman who took our food orders was on duty the rest of the evening... or not. She would disappear for long periods of time to the point that we had to source additional cutlery when food arrived, and at one point asked another server if he knew where she was. After one particularly long absence we assumed she may have clocked out for the night and gone home. We ordered the house made tortilla chips and salsa and the burrata for apps. We probably got about 12 chips and about 1/4 c of salsa. The salsa was in a very small mason jar which made it hard to access. The burrata included a lot of pesto and relish, but only two pieces of bread and we were left with a LOT of leftover relish and pesto. I asked for more bread and it took about 15 minutes to get it. The service had the feeling of people "playing restaurant" whether the server or the busboy who continually tried to take plates at inopportune times during the meal... you know, the kind of situation where it feels strange, unpracticed and ill timed? It was that. The cocktails we ordered were good. My friend had the Armadillo and I had The Business. They were tasty, but could not offset the consistently terrible service that tainted the overall experience. Several of my friends ordered the halibut. $33 for a very small piece of fish. For that price, service MUST be on point! I liked the spring pea and strawberry salad with smoked trout but it still felt wrong to pay a total of $26 for an entree that felt like it could just as well be eaten somewhere with counter only service. My husband got the walleye sandwich. He's had these many other places and declared this one to be, "Not great." Specifically, very thin filet of fish, and a lot of very heavy slaw on top. For dessert we ordered the house made ice cream. Again, a VERY LONG WAIT... for ice cream. The restaurant was almost empty by this time. When it came, my first thought was, "That's sorbet." In fact, it was sorbet, not ice cream. We tasted it anyway because we could not find the server to send it back. Two of the three flavors were unidentifiable. They just tasted gummy, or as my friend said, "Old, like the ice cream you find at the back of the freezer." We flagged down a server (at this point we were grabbing anyone who walked by our table) and asked for the ice cream. He brought back a very different selection, that was in fact, ice cream. The lavender was AMAZING but still not enough to make any of us every want to go back. In reading the other reviews, it seems ninetwentyfive is simply not a solid choice. Will you get good food and service or not? It's a roll of the dice, which isn't what most of us want when going out and spending a good amount of money for a special occasion. ninetwentyfive is the kind of place you could go one time (only if you happen to be close by!), sit on the patio, have a cocktail then go to a different restaurant to eat. We wanted to like it, but for a birthday dinner with a price tag of $320 (before tip) it left a bad taste in all of our mouths... kind of like the sorbet. read more

The entire experience was simply excellent. The food was seasonal and nicely portioned and prepared. The wine list was plentiful with many approachable options and some great finds as well. All of our questions were answered by the sommelier, who was very helpful and suggested an excellent bottle of wine that paired perfectly with the meal.
