We've been patrons at the Porters Neck location for about 19 years, and love their basic Italian dishes, salads, pizza, and always friendly service. Well, I just have to say that if you like NY/NJ/CT-style thin crust pizza, you won't find better pie south of the Mason-Dixon Line than you will at their new location. And if you haven't had a slice of their Greek-style pizza, you are missing out on something really special. Not sure what else is on the Hampstead location's menu, but am looking forward to finding out. (Tip: I always order the Greek pie with extra tomato sauce and ask them to make it a little crispy...Perfecto!)

It was clean, loud, good loud filled with conversation and laughter. Unfortunately, my pasta was extremely overcooked. It was so soft that I couldn't even pick it up with a fork without it falling apart. The photo shown shows just how shredded the pasta was when I picked it up. The sauce itself was delicious, which made it even more disappointing because the pasta was basically mush. I brought it to their attention, and they apologized, but then told me the kitchen was closed. I believe they stop serving at 9:00 p.m., and it was only 9:03 p.m. when I mentioned the issue. Whether the kitchen was technically closed or not, fixing the dish would have only required boiling a small portion of pasta and adding some of the sauce that I assumed was already prepared. I mean it was literally 3mins past 9pm there's no way they cleaned the kitchen and packed up that quick. There were still multiple tables here. Instead, I was told there was nothing they could do, though they would remove the item from the bill. While I appreciate not being charged, I don't think that was the most appropriate solution because it essentially meant I didn't get to eat a main course. My husband still had his meal, so at that point it didn't seem worth leaving or trying to find food elsewhere after already spending around $70 on dinner (the pasta not included). If it had been much later in the evening, or I wanted to add something to my bill, I would have understood, but being only a few minutes past closing made the response feel disappointing. The flavors were excellent, and up until that point the experience had been very good. I really wanted that pasta too haha. The sauce was so good. I hope they handle situations like this differently in the future.

Overall, we were well taken care of, the service was fast, the patio was spacious and chill, and we will definitely be coming back for more!

The staff were okay, but unfortunately the food really missed the mark this time…read more All of our pasta was overcooked, to the point where the noodles were falling apart and almost shredded. My vodka sauce (and one of my friend's as well) was only lukewarm and very thin, more like a watery tomato soup than a sauce. Oddly, the noodles themselves were extremely hot, but so soft that it was hard to even pick them up without them breaking apart. My husband ordered a baked ziti, and his dish was even worse, the noodles were completely overdone and lacked any structure. You could not stir the cheese in without the noodles shredding. When we brought this up, the staff seemed a bit confused, so we showed them how easily the noodles were falling apart. Instead of being apologetic or acknowledging the issue, the response felt more like, "Okay, so what do you want?" which came across as a bit abrasive and dismissive. They did still charge us for our appetizer and drinks (one cocktail and a soda), which felt a bit off given the situation. It wasn't necessarily about the cost, but more about the lack of effort to make things right, it just didn't feel like there was much care in how the situation was handled. We've had better experiences on Resy before, so this visit was disappointing. Atmosphere was ok. Temp was fine.
