We couldn't get a reservation for our party originally but the staff was extememly helpful and found an outdoor high top for us to be seated. Our waiter was so patient as we navigated through the menu asking questions! The good stuff: The cocktails were one of the best we had all weekend. The espresso martini is a must try, smooth and really helps open up the palette. The food did not dissapoint either. The octopus was extremely tender and melted in your mouth. The plating and presentation of the main courses made it that much better! We ordered Seafood Rissoto and Soul Mama Seafood Soup were to die for. The Soup came in a green curry base and every bite was packed with flavor. The views, the service and qaulity of food and drink did not dissapoint and this is a must for your Key West adventures. read more

Dinner for 7. - Ambiance (4/5) Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the patio area, though the A/C inside would have been much better. - Service (4/5) Service was very good and speedy. Only complaint would be that the waiter seemed a bit sloppy pouring the wine, and no explanations were given on what kinds of cheeses and sauces were on the cheese plate. - Bread (3/5) Decent bread with a standard olive oil/balsamic dressing. - Octopus Carpaccio, $16 (4/5) Sliced thin and dressed well. The yuzu was a great choice. - Beef Carpaccio, $14 (4/5) Pretty standard. The arugula and cheese were fitting accompaniments. - Cheese Plate, $16 (3/5) Brie was really good (blue was ok) but there wasn't much else on the plate. - Grouper Ceviche, $14 (2/5) Again, great flavor combination, but I'm not sure if grouper is the right fish for ceviche... or at least in this particular preparation, it didn't seem like the right choice. The fish was very rubbery. - Ahi Tuna Gravlax, $16 (3/5) Tasty dish, though I thought it was more of a regular ahi tuna dish than a true gravlax (which I think is normally a cured salmon with dill, sugar, and salt). Found the name to be a bit misleading in that the flavors weren't really consistent with what I expected a gravlax to be. - Pan Roasted Grouper, $32 (4/5) Fish was perfectly cooked, with smooth flaky layers. But, I found it to be underseasoned. The succotash was really, really good on the side, and that really helped elevate the dish. - Key Lime Bar, $8 (3/5) At first, I was in heaven. Strong key lime flavor, really delectable sorbet. But, quickly, the dish became cloyingly sweet. And that almost ruined it for me. - Value (3/5) I have some problems with the value here, particularly with the appetizers. The cheese plate was the biggest offender, with very little to eat and a fairly hefty price. The other portions also were pretty tiny considering the high appetizer prices. - Final Word Really cozy ambiance and one of the better restaurants I ate it in Key West. It's not the most inventive place and there are some value/execution issues, but I would certainly go back. read more

Cam here based on a recommendation. Definitely make reservations, the place was packed and busy the entire time we were there. Night temp was 64 and we were seated outside but the heaters served their purpose and kept us warm. Husband had the whole fried snapper and I had the seafood fettuccine. Both were delicious. I'm bummed about the rating for this place. The ambience is dark, candle lit and cozy. Beautiful decor at the bar, glistening Christmas decorations and fresh cut calla Lily's smelling of the freshest cut flowers. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation so we bellied up at the bar and ordered a drink. I ordered a glass of house Cabernet and the first sip sat painfully in my mouth. I couldn't spit it out, well in theory I could have but I'm not that histrionic! Once our table was ready I was pleased to see we had a cozy two top nestled in the corner of the front patio outside. My fiancé and I were on a mission to devour the cities best calamari , so we started with that. Our waiter was a dreamy, soft spoken and intriguing Australian man (he may have been the best part of the experience.) Am I allowed to say that? So calamari arrived in a cone shaped metal apparatus lined with paper. We dumped them onto a side plate and our watering mouths may have dried a bit as we actualized the dinky, sad assortment of micro calamari rings. No tentacled squid here! Just baby rings. They tasted pretty good I have to say. The 10 or so pieces equalling half the order. Needless to say they went fast. We had reservations about ordering main courses. Especially after my fiancé took a taste of my Cabernet turned vinegar. So we went with a second and third starter dish. Tofu eggplant and roasted Brussel sprouts. The tofu in the eggplant dish was tasty but skimpy. We each had one 2 inch piece. The eggplant tasted infused with the saltiest of salts and for me, was inedible. My fiancé Chowed in the eggplant bits but only out of moderate turning desperate hunger. On a happy note! The roasted Brussels sprouts were delicious. Thing is, they came in an 8 ounce metal skillet so we each had about 4 or 5 full sprouts. These are tasty and worth it but only if you have the money to order 3 or 4 orders. Tacos had large slabs of fish. Drinks were nicely crafted. No real complains aside from the restaurant seeming a bit understaffed. Our waitress was the only one there at lunch time. We randomly stopped here on a Thursday night. We did not have a reservation but managed to sneak in and get 4 stools at the bar. Bartender was really friendly. This place was so cute. I love all of the key west homes that have been repurposed as businesses. I came with a large group and a few things were forgotten; I was the only one to not receive my drink and a couple's order was received wrong. These mistakes were fixed quickly and the staff made sure we were all taken care of. All of the food was so delicious. And the drinks were tasty too. My friend had the key lime martini and said it was way to sweet but if you're into that kind of thing you'll love it. My favorites were the bacon wrapped dates and the tortellini de casa. I had a great experience here while vacationing in the Keys for my birthday. I knew that all I wanted for my special day was a delicious plate of scallops and a cold bottle of champagne. After browsing a couple other restaurants on Duval street, I chose Nine One Five. I made reservations through Open Table and the friendly host sat us immediately even though we were about 20 minutes early. We had a table on the patio that had a nice breeze and was great to people watch. Service was perfect - genuine and attentive. She made sure my champagne glass was never less than half full ;) The food was incredible, probably one of the best meals I've had since leaving the Phoenix metro area. We had the crab cakes as an appetizer as well as tuna tartar that was on special for the evening. My scallops did not disappoint, and the few bites of the grilled pork chop I sampled were impressive as well. Our server brought me a delicious complimentary chocolate dessert, which I thought was a nice touch. The building itself is pretty cool - it's an old house converted into a restaurant. The upstairs is a more casual concept called Point5, and offers flatbreads and appetizers that are not available downstairs. Had dinner here on my first night in Key West. I thought it was so neat how this restaurant and a lot of their stores/businesses are converted Victorian/older homes. We were greeted and seated right away on their outdoor table. Dinner items ordered- Steak au Poivre- good flavor and good sized portions. Orange Chipotle Braised Pork- flavorful and I loved the jalapenos on the side! We had a tuna special appetizer- sashimi tuna with pine nuts and some other side. Fish was fresh and the dish was good. Yelped a place for bread pudding and found 915. When we arrived it looked so cute and I really liked the atmosphere. The hostess was rude and made a very bad attempt to clean the table. Our waiter seemed really friendly and I was excited about dessert. The bread pudding was good but I personally wouldn't order it again. I think it's false advertised since it is actually a blueberry bread pudding and I was under the impression the blueberries are on the side. The ice cream was yummy and the whipped cream good but super sweet. Here is what I find super rude. Our "nice waitress" realized we are speaking a different language and asked where we are from. My boyfriend did hear her asking other tables as well and my guess is that they are just trying to figure out if you are a tourist. When the check came, they put seriously 20% mandatory gratuity on it. I might be foreign but I'm not stupid. I lived in the us and know that this is not normal. This was our first stop on our key west trip and it absolutely did not disappoint. Indications for everything on the menu that is gluten free, vegetarian, etc... Definitely a place for a foodie because the plates are presented in a very high class and delicate way. The hostess was a delight and our server, Natasha, was able to answer all of my gluten (severe allergy) and keto (choice) related questions. The drinks and bites are very reasonably priced (between $10-$12 for drinks and $7+ for bites) My SINGLE complaint was the number of flies. This place absolutely blew my mind. The food was incredible - I am still thinking about it. We had the Brussel sprouts and lobster tacos to start both were insane. The sprouts were crispy and so delicious with the pomegranate seeds - SO FREAKING GOOD. The lobster tacos were UNREAL. So fresh not fishy the shells were like a wonton I don't even know how to explain it. They were so light and refreshing not deep fried.. AH I can't stop thinking about it. For dinner I had the ahi tuna with the rice and wok vegetables in a soy ginger sauce. I about licked the plate clean. There was SO much tuna and the dish was so filling. Again it was so fresh and the perfect dish to enjoy in paradise. My friend had the salmon and thought it was delicious and perfectly cooked. It was not fishy or dry and the asparagus and rice were so good! For dessert the boozy root beer float and key lime bar. Omg I can't even begin to explain. It was the perfect end to our meal. Stumbled upon this restaurant on our way home - as a former Toronto resident and foodie, I love a restaurant with great shareables and ambiance. Upon entering and sitting inside at the bar with the music and candle light, we were greeted somewhat unfriendly by the lady bartender. However a lot of servers in key west seem to be rather unfriendly! Anyways- our meal made up for the fact that the bartender wasn't polite. We ate the Mediterranean salad, the gnocchi, and the carpaccio and they were all 10/10 amazing! Highly recommend. Lets start off by saying the food was spectacular! Seafood risotto perfectly cooked, spinach Fresh made ravioli spot on! However it all was down hill from here. We sat upstairs and since the pandemic has limited the space, there were maybe 4 of the six tables in use and 6 people at the bar. There was 2 bartenders/servers but this was hands down the worst service ever. Nearly 15 mins to get asked for drinks, mind you the pointed us where to sit. We almost left at the moment she brought us water. All of the positive food reviews compelled us to stick it out. It got even worse though, not once were we asked about our food, a drink refresh or top to off our water. It saddens us to see such apathetic service given that patrons are going out of the way to support them during these times.. Was in Key West last week. The first night my sister and me ate at 915 it was delicious!! The ambience was great and the bartender made some great drinks. 2 days later went back with my niece and her fiancé. The pastas were all made their and were delicious. The whole snapper was incredible. Natsha the server was spot on and also Suzanne (AWESOME SMILE)who seemed to be everywhere. Hubs and I ate NYE dinner here and it was delightful. Service and ambiance was elegant and elevated without being "fussy". Husband's burger and my filet were cooked perfectly. All of our courses came out at the right time and everything was at the right temperature. We won't wait for a holiday night like NYE to come back here during our next breakaway to Key West. HOWEVER I don't think I have ever been treated so poorly at a restaurant as a young patron( young twenties) . Our waitress Jennifer M made it clear from the beginning she did not want to "deal" with us. When we weren't being ignored we got very little service that was short and blunt, The most frustrating part was that we were watching her be kind and chatty with all the other tables around us, mind u all being older. If you are not a local good luck getting service at point 5 upstairs. There is normally a bartender heavy set brute at in a blonde server. The bartender at least tries to give you attention but the blonde server is totally rude and will ignore you if you're not a local. We were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation for our bachelorette party on a Saturday night. I got the burger and overall, it was a solid dish, I just wished there was more truffled mozzarella. I subbed the fries with cauliflower for a healthier option, especially since we ordered the fries as an app. The food came out pretty quickly and our server was attentive and helpful, she even snapped a few photos of us in front of the restaurant at the end of dinner. We did have a hiccup at dinner though where some sauce fell and splashed all over one of the ladies at our table and instead of directly acknowledging and apologizing for the sauce getting on our friend, the person who initially came to clean it up just kept saying that it happens. Eventually, the host came over with some baby Wipes and club soda, so at least there was that. Wonderful service executed like clockwork the staff is top notch and backs it up with quality food and atmosphere. 905 is the downstairs fine dining option that takes reservations opposed to the upstairs more causal and does not take Resy. From start to finish this place took care of us. Atmosphere and service was 5 star food a tad hit or miss but overall they hit a few dishes out of the park. First off let me say , Key west surely has some great gems !! In the keys for my loves birthday, and after walking around we went back to the hotel and asked about a good restaurant. We came here to nine one five and it was such an awesome experience ! I'll post pictures of the food here too . We walked in, without a reservation and we were advised it may be 10-15 mins and to hang at the bar , no problem :) In about 10 mins the server came by and brought us to our seats. We noticed a train tour going by and he kindly told us about it, which was nice of him. Our server , was so attentive to us the entire night , and even after us ordering entrees , in what would be a lot of food lol, he advised a smaller portion of one dish . So we wouldn't be stuffed for dinner . We ordered the Whole yellowtail snapper , tortelloni de casa and the filet au poivre . I could go into details of each dish , BUT that would take an eternity haha In short , it's was delish! And the snapper was so fresh and presentation was incredible . This place feels so cozy and intimate . That I can say for sure it's a spot you must check out if you're ever in the Keys. Last but surely not least , the Head Chef Brendan came out to our table after we were seated and kindly introduced himself. And we thought that was it . Ohhhhhh noooooo! During our entree , he came back to check on us and we ended up chatting about him growing up in Miami and that the get their seafood daily :) Here's the best part: he send us a dessert for my loves birthday !!! It was grapefruit & orange segments with what I believe was a crime brûlée pie with graham cracker crust. Refreshing and delightful. The thought of him doing that goes above and beyond the food! The absolute worst service I have ever had and all I asked for was a cappuccino. Unbelievably the rudest waitress and bartender I have encountered. Our party was floored by the attitudes from both when I asked for my bill and to forget the coffee after waiting an hour for it. The bartender actually threw the clipboard bill at me. I was told it was impossible to get downstairs to get it but she was downstairs when I went to complain to the manager. I would never go back or would I recommend this place. Heard great things about this place, but the hostess was rude, and made it clear that we were bothering her immensely. Despite having a reservation, she told us we were welcome to look for a table on the 2nd floor. I asked if she was able to ask if there was a table to anyone that worked there, but she was offended that we asked and made it clear that it was NOT HER JOB...which was definitely different than any restaurant I have ever visited. Take it for what you will. It was definitely our worst experience on the island. The food was fine, but her attitude and distaste for her job, or for being a hostess (unsure of the problem, exactly) soured the experience. read more

We had: Whole yellowtail - very good. The sweet chili sauce really made it Pasta with Bolognese - fresh pasta and the sauce was excellent. Spinach and cheese ravioli- good. Very creamy and filling. Apps : Dates - very good Arugula salad - good and refreshing Clams - very good.
