I had the best experience imaginable at Nile Auto Sales. The salesman Melaku was awesome: courteous and professional. He helped me in so many ways that it is clear Nile Auto values their customers. Melaku explained the features on the car and I took the Yaris (with almost 100,000 miles) to the Toyota dealership for a pre-purchase inspection. Everything checked out fine, except one leak that Toyota quoted at $400 to fix. When I returned to the dealership, on his own, Melaku offered to reduce the price by $200. I was buying a car for my disabled sister who lives in Las Vegas. I was using the search engine CarGurus that accidentally used "my" location in Denver and brought up this car. I had to look at it because my sister and I (online) were having a difficult time in Las Vegas finding the subcompact car that would fit my sister's short stature. After I had the car inspected, Melaku pointed me to places I could find a reliable, reasonably priced transporter to take the car to my sister in Las Vegas. And Melaku helped find a transporter who would take the car for $400. (I'd been earlier quoted $750 to transport the car to Vegas). I should mention that the Car Fax showed the retail price of the Yaris was twice the price that Nile Auto was selling the car; thus, it was easy to absorb the transportation costs. As background, I am a big fan of the CarGurus search engine and, besides buying my last two cars through CarGurus, I have helped many friends buy a used car by using this search. CarGurus rates the cars for sale as Great Buy, Good Buy, Average, Too High. This tiny used dealership, Nile Auto, has more Great Buys and Good Buys than I have ever seen at one dealership. Take a look. Of course, CarGurus has not inspected the cars for possible repairs. But when people are buying a car with 100,000 or 150,000 miles, they need to get a pre-purchase inspection by an independent mechanic. The poor ratings that people have written show that the problems they complained about could have been detected with a pre-purchase independent inspection. Rather than grouch about Nile Auto, the poor reviewers should take some responsibility for their own actions. I highly recommend shopping at Nile Auto Sales and getting a pre-purchase inspection. We went here to buy our son a used vehicle in April 2022 and found them to be really good to deal with. Pricing was comparable to other small dealers and there was no high pressure. They even stayed open late to help us. Prior to the purchase of a Jeep Grand Cherokee, we pointed out some small concerns and they agreed to still fix them after the sale -- even noted it on our purchase paperwork. We went back a week later and their in-house mechanic not only fixed the problems, he also changed a dead headlight bulb and gave us an oil change. They wouldn't have had to do those extras, but we sure did appreciate it! PS - The Jeep drives great too! read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE! It is a rip off. I know a guy that works for Nile Auto Sales and he said it himself, they make a lot of money for lying. Even the workers there know the company makes a lot of money from people who do not know much about car. They buy cars for close to nothing, cars that should have salvaged titles, and sale it to you and me. I got a car from this place and their horrible dealer Enoque and it was THE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. I WOULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS BUT I HAVE TO GIVE ONE TO POST MY COMPLAINT. WORST CAR DEALERSHIP EVER. DO NOT TRUST THEM. I bought a Subaru Forester two weeks ago, got an inspection from a Subaru Dealership. There was NO headlight light bulbs, no drivers license light bulbs, ALL the brakes, pads, and rotors needed to be replaced. Serpentine belt is HEAVILY cracked. Cam Carrier is leaking. And possible Flood Damage resulting in electrical issues. I called to tell them what was wrong with the car and they said "We will fix what we can but we're not fixing everything" I asked them how long it would take for them to fix (state law requires dealerships to give a duration of time to fix issues) and they said they "didn't know". I then requested the CAR FAX to be sent to me, which I didn't receive. Called again the next day and was sent to voicemail, left a message and received CAR FAX the day after. They denied to give me emissions test or a voucher for emissions which is also required by state law and then hung up on me. I should have trusted my gut when I walked into the "business" and saw all the papers scattered all over the desk, and the fact that I wasn't offered any Warranty. SHITTIEST PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH. We were looking for a used car for our daughter and found one listed by Nile Auto Sales. We called to see if it was available - and after initially going to the wrong location - took it for a test drive. We also asked it we could have our mechanic look it over. Henock allowed us to bring it to our mechanic a few miles away to inspect it. There was no pressure to buy and he gave us time to decide. In the end, we decided to purchase it. The paperwork was quick and the process to purchase was painless. Advice to all - do your homework on any used car before you go for a test drive at any dealership. Nile Auto Sales has links to carfax and car story reports on their website so take advantage of that option to help with your research. Our daughter has been driving the car for about 6 weeks and we haven't had any issues. We were happy to support a small business owner and would purchase another car from this dealer again. I bought a Honda CRV through Niles at the beginning of December 2015 and had it taken to a mechanic prior to purchase, who said besides the tires being almost bald, a couple filters needing to be replaced, and needing brake replacement in the rear it was a good car. Since the price was right I bought it and felt like I was getting a great deal, regardless of needing to do some work off the bat. After 3 weeks I was stuck on the side of the road calling AAA for a tow. That Honda dealer said that it was the battery needing to be replaced, so we had that done. A week later I was calling AAA again from the side of the road, this time the issue being an oil pressure switch. That Honda dealer also noticed that the timing belt was not the correct size and that the AC compressor was locked-to fix these issues it would be upwards of $2,000 for me. I called Niles about my complaints and they couldn't care less since I bought the car without warranty, but I feel like these issues they must have known about before ripping me off. Another concern I had with Niles was that they did not provide me an emissions voucher at purchase and when I asked initially for it they said "Well if you register before the end of the year then you don't need an emissions" to which I replied "Give me an emissions voucher since you cannot legally sell me this car without one", I got a check written for $25 in the mail the following week. This was a very unprofessional way to react to their mistakes. I finally got my emissions completed, but had to wait until fixing box the battery and the oil pressure switch, so that I could drive without being stuck on the side of the road. When I went to get my car registered Niles had not sent the DMV the correct paperwork and I ended up having to get another temporary plate and wait for them to get it together. Turns out I wouldn't have been able to register even if I had tried before the years end like they wanted me to to avoid emissions.... Overall, I think I have learned to "settle" with this mess, but I would not recommend them to anyone I know. Even though it pays more to go to a dealer that shows you respect, is honest, timely, and considerate of their faults, I would much rather pay those dealers for that then go back to Niles and pay them for junk and poor service read more
