    Vietnamese coffee with ube cream
    Barry B.

I Found a Joy Node in the Beige Strip of Despair Rockford Road Plaza remains a masterclass in manufactured hopelessness. A curated collection of stress errands and expired whimsy. The scent? A mix of discount candle and distant regret. Enter Niko Niko Boba. Against all odds, it smiles. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee with Ube cream--a drink so potent it could rehydrate your soul and your GPA. The espresso slapped, the Ube soothed. Sweet, creamy, lavender-tinted cloud riding atop gritty, productive energy. No pearls. Just purpose. As I sipped, I felt the caffeine summon a clarity I hadn't known since early 2017. My lumbar spine adjusted itself. My errand itinerary suddenly made sense. Restorative Properties: +10. The décor was warm. The staff efficient yet kind, like baristas trained by woodland elves in a retail dystopia. And the menu? A choose-your-own-adventure scroll of beverages, each promising exactly what it delivers--rare magic in a realm of ghosted expectations. Final Thought: Niko Niko doesn't rescue the plaza. It defies it. A reliable joy node in the slipstream of suburban disillusionment.

What a fun little spot in Plymouth! I had heard about this place opening all over instagram, but couldn't find an address. Today I was on my lunch break making a return at Kohl's next door, and I spotted it so I had to stop in. The place is very open and spacious - lots of fun and different spots to sit. I love the pop-y boba art all over the walls. There's an option to order from a tablet or the employee behind the bar. The choices here are overwhelming because they all look delicious! I hadn't had boba in a while, so I took a bit to get acquainted on what I wanted. I ended up ordering a Matcha Milk Tea, less sweet, with tapioca pearls - I forgot to get it dairy free but regardless it was so creamy and delicious! The 16oz looks small, but packs a lot of product and flavor in! I got my fiance the brown sugar latte and that was also flavorful and delicious - it's not super sweet which I like. Both drinks came to about $12, which is standard for any independent and fun coffee/drink shop. I will definitely be back for a treat soon!

My favorite treat! Love their fruit and milk teas! The decor is so cute - love supporting this small chain as it's grown! The Plymouth location has easy parking and friendly staff. Reasonable prices and a very fun menu - I'll be back!

My son is obsessed with the Nutella Milk Tea. I was thrilled that a location close to home opened. The decor was cute and service was fast and efficient. I hope this location succeeds because this is my son's favorite boba tea place.

There is a small parking lot on the side of the building and they had a cute sign out front. They are located on a somewhat busy street, so this could make or break some of their business. Ambiance: Inside was huge! This would be a great place to meet with a small group as they have different areas inside to sit and converse. It wasn't very busy when we were there but it was around 1 on a Tuesday. They have a bakery, ice cream counter and boba. They had a bakery case that looked really tasty, so we decided to get 3 items to share. - Lemon macaron - perfection and had a gooey chewiness. We could eat a ton of these. - Eclair - I don't think I've ever had an eclair and now I am questioning why! It was chilled and the perfect amount of filling to outside pastry. The chocolate falls off when you bite it, so eat over a napkin to not lose any pieces. - Chocolate croissant or pastry. I think it was Nutella and it was incredible! Flakey, gooey and everything you'd want it to be. I'm sure you could warm it up and it would elevate it further. Yum! We both got a fruit tea and it was a lot. Sadly, I wouldn't get again as it was too sweet and my boba tasted like ramen noodles. (It actually made me hungry for ramen). My teen got the strawberry milk tea and even said it was sickly sweet and she needed the ice to sit. Overall, I didn't love the boba... but I would recommend the pastry! They also had some decadent looking muffins and cake slices. If in the neighborhood, stop in! I think they should make a Macaron ice cream sandwich! The woman that helped us was so sweet and patient while we took forever to decide what we wanted.

What I Ordered: *Chocolate Cheesecake - 10/10....This was absolutely DEVINE! Do not pass this up! Very rich with 3 layers but pairs great with Coffee. Hard fudge like top, Chocolate Cheesecake Mousse type middle with I believe Oreo cookie base. *Chocolate Croissant & Strawberry/Cream Cheese Croissant - 8/10...Great Flavor & tasted very fresh. *Eclair - 8/10....Typical Eclair Flavor. Wish it was a little bigger Large interior with plenty of seating. Come support your neighborhood bakery & check it out.

The space itself looks like an older Caribou location that's been renovated, with a casual vibe and plenty of seating options. They also offer food like breakfast items and sandwiches, which is a plus. The coffee was just fine overall, but the sesame latte was a miss for me. It tasted like straight sesame seed grounds and was very gritty. It didn't seem mixed well and was honestly hard to drink. The staff was friendly but also felt a bit distant at the same time. Service wasn't rude, but it didn't feel especially warm or welcoming either, almost like they didn't really want you to be there. Parking can be a little tricky right out front, but there are usually plenty of spots available in the main strip mall area nearby Trader Joe's. Overall, it's clear this place is very popular and busy, and I may have just caught it on an off day. Decent space and lots of options, but the drink and service didn't fully win me over on this visit.

The broth has a deep flavor that only comes from a very long cook time. The chicken pieces are high quality white meat, and it comes with a variety of fresh herbs such as green onions, mint, cilantro and bean sprouts. The noodles are good and very slurp-worthy. This time I had the Pepper Steak, which was OK, but not as tender as I had hoped. I have also had the Chicken Rice platter and the Pad Thai (I know it's Thai, but it's good). We have enjoyed their egg rolls, as well as their dumplings. The service can be slow, and it's another place that charges extra for using a credit card, although they will take debit cards without an extra charge. Eat in or take out, this place is a good local Vietnamese Restaurant if you live in the New Hope, Golden Valley, Plymouth, Crystal area.

Of course the vibe, seemed to give off kind of a coolness that I can't explain. After perusing the menu, I decided on getting a mango frosty. What I surprised about, was the fact that they wanted to know know how sweet it should be; from 0% to 100%. I felt half sweet would give me a half sweet taste of what it is like. Even though I was only the second one in line, I was surprised that it only took a few minutes. Not only could I taste the mango, but I liked how it was a bit sweet, and it was cool to the taste.
