I had not been to this location in awhile but thankfully was in the area. Excited to see the seasonal offerings, I was also glad to see Tyler! He is always so pleasant and accommodating! I tried the Paloma Sunrise and it did not disappoint. Unfortunately I had to switch to a larger cup because mine was leaking. Tyler was quick to offer a solution. The Sunrise actually tasted better 'upside down' when poured into another cup. Such a clean, fun place!

This score might seem low to some, as Night Swim Coffee is a very popular local coffee shop with multiple locations throughout the city. I agree that their coffee is very good, but this particular location I'm not in love with. It serves its purpose in that it is a convenient quick stop for bankers working Uptown and is located in the new Legacy Union that hosts workers from the ACC to Bank of America. But to me it feels too sterile. There is nothing in the way of decor, it's too bright, it doesn't seem like a place I'd want to spend any time at, just a place to grab a coffee and go. Again, if this is what you are looking for, then it works. I myself have stopped in when I have a brief window to grab a coffee before a meeting. But for me, when I look for a coffee shop, I like a place I can stop in and relax. A place that feels warm and cozy. I'd much rather walk a little further to one of the other cafes Uptown if I have the time. Cliff notes version, is this place has good coffee, but feels to busy and corporate to be a vibe.

Great house made goodies and they switch out seasonally I believe. I loved the banana nut zucchini initially but I haven't been here in a few months and they now have pumpkin bread which is really good as well. They did have really savory grits but that has been removed from the menu as well. I had the brown butter rum latte and that was just ok. Love having them in my building as an option.

This place was a little difficult to find, we kept trying to circle the block but turns out it's inside an office building. Oops! I had the cold brew and avocado toast. A little expensive but man that avocado toast was DELISH!

Best mocha in Charlotte! I come to town every few years from Berkeley, CA and always stop here, even though it's the opposite direction from my office. The house made chocolate sauce is perfect! Just sweet enough, just rich enough. The beans are smooth and silky. Not too much acid and not bitter. I ask for extra hot and it's always just right. The folks behind the counter are always friendly and get my morning off to a good start. I try other spots out of curiosity and always regret it and end up coming back here.

I have frequented NSC several times since my first review. I really love their yogurt parfait and in the summer I couldn't stop ordering the golden milk latte: Here Comes the Sun. So good! I'll go elsewhere for my avocado toast, but I'm a fan of this coffee shop for other things.

Awesome new spot in the Bank of America building on the second floor!! The aesthetic is great, and there are lots of quiet seating spots to chat, have a meeting, or work. I loved my iced matcha latte - They have a sweetened and unsweetened option. I got sweetened, but I would do unsweetened next time as the simple syrup was pretty sweet. The matcha and froth was perfect, though! The peppermint tea was also amazing, and the "for here" serving ware/presentation was very pleasing and instagrammable!! Lastly, I got a plain bagel and cream cheese and it was INCREDIBLE. The cream cheese serving was very adequate, and the bagel was really unique and tasty! It was on the airy side and tasted like it was made with corn potentially?? It just had a corn tortilla essence that I loved but can't explain. Highly recommend!!

Such a great coffee shop and location! I love the vibe and the coffee is so.good. Great location, great staff, awesome coffee and seating and music playlist and on and on and on. So fortunate that they are extremely close to my hood and will be there often!

Cute breakfast takeout spot with a good selection of coffee and tea. I got an egg sandwich and it was delicious! The baristas here really know their coffee well.

For the two star reviewers that aren't subjective, I recommend you give this location another try! The service, like their other locations, is friendly and thorough. I greatly appreciate a coffee shop that can speak to the origin, roasting process, supply, and the complexity of their beans. Not to mention their food is locally sourced and immense thought is put into their recipe designs. Night Swim takes their craft seriously and I'll continue to favorite this business until another supersedes their service delivery (if that's possible). For reviews putting their atmosphere into question, do note that this shop is in an office building. The setting, personality, and vibe are not going to be what you find at their Oakhurst location.

Nice smooth coffee! Would go here again! Lots of great seating if you work from home and need to get out of the house.

I've been to three coffee shops in the last 24 hours and this is hands down the best cold brew I've had. The food- "plough boy" grits bowl with bacon and a poached egg was just as incredible. The employees were super kind and the atmosphere was great. Can't say enough good things about this place!

Review for Amélie's French Bakery & Café…read more As a transplant from the West Coast--specifically San Francisco, where high-quality bakeries and true French pâtisseries are plentiful--I was genuinely excited to try Amélie's after moving to Charlotte. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, and after giving it more than one chance, it's simply not a place I plan to return to. The concept feels more like a themed destination than a serious bakery. The interior is whimsical and eye-catching, with decorative elements like a faux Eiffel Tower, which clearly appeals to visitors looking for a fun atmosphere. However, if you've spent time in authentic French cafés or bistros, you know the real charm is understated elegance--wood, mirrors, tile, and craftsmanship. This felt more theatrical than authentic. Where it fell short for me was the food. For a place calling itself a French bakery and pâtisserie, the absence of classic laminated pastries was surprising. I was expecting staples like Napoleons, kouign-amann, or beautifully executed croissants. What I found instead were pastries that looked average and lacked the refinement and technique you'd expect from a true pâtisserie. On my visits, I tried: * A leek soup that was supposed to be cream-based but tasted thin and under-seasoned--more like warm vegetable water than a properly developed soup. * A baguette sandwich with fig, Brie, and apple that sounded promising but was poorly executed. The bread was overly hard, and the balance of ingredients felt off, making the sandwich less enjoyable than expected. I gave Amélie's two chances, hoping the second visit would change my impression. It didn't. To be fair, the café clearly has a loyal following and works well as a social or casual gathering spot. But if you're specifically looking for high-quality French pastries or refined bakery craftsmanship, there are stronger options in the Charlotte area. Personally, I'd recommend: * Renaissance Patisserie for more traditional European-style pastries * Paris Baguette at Rea Farms for consistency and better execution * Or trusted local favorites closer to home Bottom line: Fun atmosphere, but the food didn't meet expectations for a French bakery. After multiple visits, it's a pass for me.

The area was clean and the cute interior makes for a good social media photo op. The menu has good variety and explorative flavors that encourages repeat visits. My only downside was the bottom of the drink tasted gritty and had a white residue left at the bottom. Also, I initially wanted the drink with light ice and this was my first encounter at a shop that charges extra for light ice (45 cents). Not a huge deal and I understand that companies incur more costs for light ice or no ice. Maybe I could justify the additional charge for getting the drink without ice, but I still wanted ice---just not a lot of it. I just would've like to have been told about it or seen some signage about the additional charge since the toppings and other add ons are listed out. I could've missed where it was listed out, but I don't think I saw anything written out. Nonetheless, after a few healthy gulps, I was sad that the drink was gone. I would come back to try other items.
