Such a cute spot in Charlotte with amazing drinks and great customer service! I tried the matcha with coconut water, and it was so refreshing and the perfect balance of flavors. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially when it came to recommending drinks and figuring out the right sweetness level for me. I really appreciated how patient and welcoming they were, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot that I plan on visiting soon to try their fall drinks!
Cute spot with specialty lattes and matchas! The service was very friendly and the vibes were great. The line was long on a Saturday which is how you know it's a great spot! The food was yummy and we can't wait to come back!
Unsure why the low ratings! The barista was so friendly and polite. She patiently made my Matcha Tiramisu which to be honest was one of the best I have had - the cream top was just too good! It had the perfect amount of sweetness without being overpowering and the matcha was amazing quality! I have to be back in Charlotte in 2 weeks so I will make sure to stop by again and thank the Barista for making such a beautiful drink for me.
My friend & I stopped by here on a Monday afternoon. There wasn't anyone in line ahead of us so we were greeted & our order was taken promptly. As others have mentioned, it is a very small space & parking can be difficult. I think there were three two-person tables that fit inside & they were all full. We weren't quite sure where to stand that was out of the way because of the limited space. The drinks are presented really well & the small menu made it easy to choose a drink. I tried the Ferrero Rocher iced latte & my friend had the Mango Sticky Rice iced latte. The taste was okay, nothing spectacular but we agreed that we want to go again to try other drinks.
DELICIOUS ! I love the aesthetics ! Unique not cookie cutter which I appreciate ! The line was out the door when I arrived . It was worth the wait .. every second . I loved watching them freshly make the matcha ( made the wait even smoother) everything was fresh and I don't even think oatmilk was extra ! Everything looked amazing I'll definitely be back to try more .
This place was cute and the matcha is fresh. I loved all the flavor options (super creative) so had super high hopes. Tried four different drinks and the flavors weren't very apparent. I realllly wanted to love, but honestly tastes like a standard coffee and matcha. Not bad and quick service, just not a must have.
A true gem near the walking path! They made their matcha right in front of you which is a fun experience. The cups are a sturdy plastic, so it's easy to sit for a little bit and then continue your walk with it. The presentation of the coffee was absolutely beautiful and almost too good to drink. There sure know what they are doing, creating a welcoming area to enjoy with friends or on the go.
I've been wanting to try this spot because I have a dog who loves going with me to coffee shops and I saw that this place was pet friendly. Honestly not worth the hype. The actual store front has enough space for about 4 people to sit inside and that's about it. They were already sold out of the Biscoff pave by 11am. The Biscoff latte was pretty good but I still feel like I could get it anywhere. The presentation of the coffees all around us were amazing. Also a bummer that they don't validate the parking garage. We were there for maybe 30 minutes on a Sunday and had to pay $8 for the parking that day.
Babaloo Coffee Club is cute cafe that focuses on matcha and specialty drinks. I believe there are also quick food options, but I did not get any. The interior is pretty small as the cafe is located on the side of a building... it is not a brick-and-mortar store with an enclosed space. So there is a small open space for two-ish tables inside and several tables outside, but no air conditioning. As for the service, I thought it was fine. The cashier gave me some recommendations for my drink. My friend and I got the Toasted S'mores and Blue Cloud Banana Matcha lattes. At first, the Toasted S'mores, which I got with oat milk, was a bit bitter, but after mixing in the toasted marshmallow on top, the drink definitely tasted sweeter and better. My friend, who is a matcha fiend, liked the Blue Cloud Banana Matcha. It tasted mostly of banana with a slight hint of matcha. I think this place is average for coffee, which is why I would give it a 2.5/5 stars. There are some unique flavors, but it was somewhat pricey in my opinion as the lattes were around $10 after tip. However, I will say that I am not a big coffee person, so take my review with a grain of salt.
Cute little shop! Everyone was kind and service was pretty quick despite it being busy. I got the pumpkin spice latte, it was lackluster to say the least compared to other coffee shops in the city.

It was not terribly long but there was only one employee. You could visually tell that he was overwhelmed but he did the best he could. These are speciality drinks and preparing the matcha itself takes extra time. I stood in line for a few minutes but it was windy so I went back to the car and sat with my friend. She didn't come in because parking isn't free and the lot across the street wanted $17 for weekend pricing. The attached garage was $8. Crazy! Anyways, we placed an online order. It's convenient, but unfortunately, the online app does not tell you what the drinks consist of. Example, it says blue banana cloud Matcha, but there's no description. The online system also doesn't give an eta or order progress. After about 10 min I went inside, got back in line and then asked the employee about the order. He said he hasn't been able to get to it yet but will start on it soon. We waited 28 minutes for two matcha drinks. Drinks: We both ordered the blue banana cloud matcha, one with oat milk and one with coconut milk. The total was $18.38, or $8.50+ tax each. There was no up charge for milk alternatives. To me, the drink was creamy, heavy on the milk but the matcha flavor was there. It was a little sweet but didn't taste like banana at all. The top wasn't really blue so I'm not sure what that was about. It was decent but nothing I'd go back for. I drink a lot of matcha so I'm opinionated. The cup lids made for a messy experience. With both of our drinks, we had Matcha milk on our hands and got it on our clothes. I think they need to rethink the packaging for these drinks. Overall, I think the ambience is nice. It's a cute shop with a lot of potential they just need to work on staffing. Having one employee on a Friday afternoon is not going to cut it. The shop is in a good location but people don't want to wait 25 minutes for a rushed drink.

I went with the dulce de leche latte. I hate to admit it was good. The cold foam. The cookie crumbles. It was tasty. But, the $9.50 price will keep me away.
3.5 Cute coffee shop in southend! I planned to meet some friends here to catchup and was surprised at how small the inside is. There is two tables with a total of 5 chairs then standing room to order / wait for you food and drinks. The ny sandwich I had was very tasty and filling. The crème brûlée latte was oaky but not my favorite. It felt like too much milk and the brûlée topping was small. My friend got the s'mores latte and that one looked so pretty and I thought a bit tastier. My other friend got the pistachio one and that was not my favorite. Overall I would come back when the weather is nice to sit outside and maybe give it a second go
After searching on Instagram I knew I had to stop at Babaloo's Coffee Club. The presentation and details they put into all their drinks are beautiful! I knew I had to get the s'mores latte because that toasted meringue is gorgeous! My husband got the biscoff latte and loved it! My s'mores latte was tasty but also very very sweet once you mix the meringue in there. They do not skimp out! I definitely want to try more drinks as they were all so delicious looking! read more

I was visiting Charlotte from Florida and honestly didn't expect to find a coffee shop this good. I am extremely picky about my coffee and matcha, and I'm not one to give 5 stars just because a place is cute. I was very impressed by Babaloo. I got the mango sticky rice matcha latte and I'm still thinking about it. The mango purée tasted natural and homemade, and the combination of the mango, sticky rice, matcha, and mango cold foam was so good. You get this little burst of mango, then the matcha, then the sweetness of the cold foam.. it was honestly phenomenal. The matcha itself tasted very ceremonial-grade, which I really appreciate because a lot of places miss the mark with matcha. My boyfriend got the tiramisu latte, and that was so good I wish I had tried the matcha. It had a really strong coffee flavor, which I love. I'm a big fan of drinks that actually taste like coffee instead of just sugar, and this definitely did that. The staff was very kind and friendly. Everyone was welcoming, and the interior is like a coffee shop out of NY. It has such a cool, unique aesthetic and you can tell they actually put thought into not just the drinks but the overall experience. I'm genuinely surprised this place doesn't have better reviews. I read through a few of the negative ones before going and honestly... some of them gave me a little bit of Karen energy lol. I also saw someone complain about the price, but I live in Florida and spend around $9 on a latte pretty much daily, so I would happily spend that here if I lived in Charlotte. I've been to a lot of coffee shops and this was easily one of the best lattes I've had in a long time. If you're visiting Charlotte, put this place on your list. You won't regret it. I'm really surprised this place doesn't have better reviews.. I was incredibly happy with the service and quality of the matcha. I have an extremely high standard when it comes to matcha and this place met it, I mean look at that color! I also couldn't make up my mind regarding which drink I wanted to get -- they all sounded so good. The strawberry matcha was perfectly sweet and still earthy. Finally a place that doesn't just sell sweet milk! I will say it was a little more expensive than I'd like but I think the quality was worth it. They also didn't up charge for alt milk, which is always appreciated. Will definitely be back! read more

I thought this place was just eh. It wasn't good but it also wasn't bad. I got a Biscoff latte with oat milk and it was fine just don't know if it was worth the $8 or so! The location is great- you don't have to walk through the building and it's on the outskirts so it's easy to get to. There is two tables inside and the staff isn't the nicest. Not a good place to sit and work since there isn't much space. I think they try and do a spin on seasonal drinks but it seems like they overdo it and the drinks aren't amazing. I'm not sure if this was a place that had boba as well but the straws were really wide which doesn't seem right for a coffee shop. read more

It's such a small spot, it was hard to find at first especially considering it was my first time there. I have never tried their food or snacks so I'm not sure how it taste like but I can tell you their coffee is 11/10. A big fan of their matcha and I can't stop going here. The service is good. Babaloo Coffee is such a cute shop and definitely my vibe. The space is stunning, and the staff is always so pleasant and welcoming. My favorite drink so far is the Biscoff latte. it's amazing and I've heard really good things about their matcha too. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's just so small. As someone who loves to sit in a coffee shop for a while, I felt like I was standing right on top of people while waiting for my drink. If you're in the area and want something quick and delicious, absolutely stop by. It's such a gem read more

Such an aesthetically pleasing café. I went pretty early in the day so did not have an issue with parking and the service was quick. Love that they are creative with their drinks. I decided to get the banana pudding Matcha and was super excited when he pulled out the metal container of banana pudding with the scooper lol. The color of the Matcha itself lets you know this was a good matcha. It's rare to find a vibrant green Matcha in Charlotte. The drink was good, but I felt like I wanted to eat the banana pudding with a spoon. I would definitely go back to get a plain Jane Matcha. read more
Super quick stop and service, on going roster of people would come through and live w their coffee drink orders. They have something called Cloud Matcha which I am coming back to try this misters drink. This time as we were in a rush my daughter had the NY style breakfast sandwich - delicious- and I had one pan de bono. The waitress forgot to add my pan to the order so when I reminded her she as so so nice and gave me at no charge. I had a hot matcha d it was Devine very good. Not like some coffee shops that make it w syrup and premade and extra sweet but like I like it matcha almond milk w asked do some vanilla favor and not too sweet at all. Good prices. A lot of places claim to know matcha and coffee, but WOW- this place really knows it. We got the strawberry matcha and the pistachio cold brew and it is top tier. I recommend grabbing to go as there isn't much seating, or coming on a beautiful day to sit outside. I just finished my drink and I'm already craving another! read more
This place is VERY tiny, bute super cute. If you're in the area it seems like a quick coffee stop. I came during one of their coffee parties, not knowing it was super small and more so a walk up type biz. It was still a fun vibe, hard to hear the cashier but it was cool. I originally ordered the biscoff latte, but it only comes iced. The menu doesn't specify which drinks are hot or iced only, so that was kind of odd. I opted for a lavender latte with oat milk instead. It was just okay, tasted a little burnt. But did the job. Again, cute spot if you're in the area. Idk if I'd give them another try but I think it's a good addition to the area for sure. read more

I stopped by with a friend and ordered the miso banana bread and a mango sticky rice matcha (both with oat milk). The miso banana bread was easily a 10/10--so good. I'd absolutely order it again. The mango sticky rice matcha was a 4/10 for me. The flavor was a little off and just wasn't what I expected. The atmosphere, though? 10/10. It has such a Miami vibe, which I loved. I love coffee shops with an indoor/outdoor concept where you can enjoy fresh air while working or catching up with friends. It's definitely a spot I'd come back to for the ambiance. Unfortunately, the customer service was the biggest disappointment. After politely asking if we could switch the matcha because we didn't enjoy it, one of the male employees became rude and dismissive. We ended up asking for a refund, and only then did he offer to make a different drink. The interaction felt unnecessarily uncomfortable and definitely took away from an otherwise great experience. Overall: Mango Matcha: 4/10 Miso Banana Bread: 10/10 Atmosphere: 10/10 Customer Service: 0/10 Although, the prices are on the higher end in my opinion ($10 per drink) I'd absolutely come back just for the atmosphere, just hope the service is better next time. read more

The ambiance of Babaloo is so cute and quaint! It's very tiny though, so take that into account if you're planning on finding a seat to enjoy your drink. Service was quick and the baristas were very friendly. I enjoyed the flavor of my drink, however the strawberry syrup had seeds included (personal preference- I didn't enjoy the texture). I tried my friend's coffee as well and would definitely come back to sample more of the menu! read more

The banana pudding matcha was crazy delicious! It's a dessert and a drink in one. The cream is pretty sweet though, so I wouldn't add any syrup to the drink itself. The quality of the matcha is also good. The coffee, however, tasted over roasted, so I'd stick to matcha at Babaloo. Especially with their interesting flavored cold foams! And the place is so cute. I love that concrete-style interior, and their hot drink cups are custom-made to match the vibe! read more

I am Charlotte native acting as a tourist in my own town. I have switched from energy drinks to matcha. I do enjoy making matcha but I love trying different matcha flavors out and about. I found this place on TikTok for a highly recommended matcha place. I got the tiramisu matcha iced latte. There was a ladyfinger that was dipped in matcha before garnished. They used mascarpone cheese as the whipped topping. The drink itself was not sweet but it was delish and refreshing. I drank it all in one sitting. It was $9-10 and totally worth it. They made the matcha to order in the chasen bowl and whisk. read more
After seeing countless videos & marketing for Babaloo, I begged my husband to deter from our usual coffee spots to try this place today. The place was super cute & pretty. I've read reviews on the place being tiny and boy they were not wrong. It's SO small! 2 tiny tables with a few chairs. Anyways, the coffee is pretty expensive. I got an iced vanilla latte & an iced fredo cappuccino and the total was $15. Apparently the fredo cappuccino is one of their most popular items but it was NOT good. The iced vanilla latte was pretty standard, but I couldn't taste the vanilla at all. I won't be back, but south end did need more coffee shops, so I guess this does the job. read more

I've been twice just to make sure it wasn't a "one off situation" Both times was extremely busy which isn't a problem but I feel like that was the reason the drinks were rushed. First time I ordered the Crème Brulee Latte which tasted like milk with a dash of coffee. I also didn't realize the crème brûlée topping was left off until I was at the car. Decided to give them a second time since my sister was in town and ordered the birthday cake Matcha and strawberry matcha. We both agreed the matcha was extremely bitter. The "birthday cake" marshmallow topping wasn't presented like other orders and realized it was because they ran out of the marshmallow topping while fixing my drink. My sister stated her strawberry matcha was ok but it was extremely bitter. We tossed both drinks. The 2 stars are for the ambiance and creative drink menu options. read more

the cafe itself is super cute but is TINY! i stopped by for the tiramisu latte and the marscapone on top was delicious but the coffee was not at all good sadly. it was also very expensive for one drink (imo) separately, the service was very slow and not good. they gave the people after us drinks before we got ours and when we went to ask they realized they completely forgot, then made our drink wrong and then had to ask to fix the milk to the non dairy and it was just a whole commotion for a place that also was not at all busy. personally would only recommend if you're trying to see an aesthetic cafe but not good for coffee read more
