When I heard this place opened up close by I had to check it out. I've always wanted to try Fufu. Inside is cute and spacious. The art on the wall is cool, they have some dry foods on the shelf you can purchase. Most menu items were 25-30$ each. This to me was expensive, but I wanted to try it at least once. The staff is welcoming and polite. The Efo Riro was spiced nicely and ibloved the Fufu, I'd like to try it with a more soupy stew. The smokey jollof rice was VERY smokey so if you like smokey flavor get that. Overall it was a fun experience to try Nigerian food, I enjoyed the flavors.

Whole entree smelled and tasted like an ashtray. They knowingly scooped up burned rice and hid it in the bottom. We dug in it and flipped it over. Hockey puck size burned portion, super hard. Were not very friendly or welcoming.

So happy they opened here! The jollof rice is the best I've had and I've been to multiple places. I just love the smokiness and the spice level is perfect. I got the chicken one and the portion was great and the chicken legs were big and juicy. I had the meat pie and ended up buying 2 more for the road because they were that good. Also, love that they have a little shop corner where you can buy some cooking staples such as palm oil and boxed fufu mix. The restaurant was very clean and Maria who helped my mom and I was so sweet as well.

This is by far the best African food I have ever had!!! The fish pepper soup had such a huge portion of fish and the taste and spice was perfect. The suya was juicy while all the other places i have had it, it was dry and tough. The egusi and fufu with goat was the best I've had. I've had jollof rice before but this is the first 'smoked' jollof I've had. Such an incredible Smoky flavor and the chicken was juicy. I also tried the efo riro for the first time. It was very delicious. They make everything fresh, so it takes a little time but it is worth the wait. The young lady was taking orders, delivery food, doing takeout and phone orders as well, so please bbw patient with her. This place is definitely a gem and I will be returning for sure!!!

Yeeesssss! A Nigerian food spot in Temecula FINALLY. So happy, the food was delicious, the service was great and quick! Ambiance was pretty nice in there as well. I only ordered the Egusi Stew and Fufu but I definitely want to go back and try more food

The collared greens was tasty, the yam reminded me of Hawaiian poi that was starchy and earthy. The beef could've been cooked better, though. It was really hard and tough to chew: I was a little disappointed. If the beef had been served tender and juicy (soaked in the collared greens sauce) I would've given 5 stars only because I don't think it was worth what we were charged for our dishes. Two pieces of beef that wasn't serving standard in my honest opinion. The store front is located in the food court of the Moreno Valley mall. There's a lot of dining tables and chairs throughout the food court and other food shops surrounding the dining court. There's tons of parking spaces and the mall wasn't very busy so parking is easy. I love African food and compared to my favorite spot in San Diego, this one is not on my list to revisit, unfortunately. Not for the price or quality.

It was not fully cooked on the inside, which is extremely dangerous and could make someone seriously sick. The food also looked like it had been sitting out, and overall everything felt unsanitary and careless. When I brought this to the owner's attention, she laughed and didn't take it seriously at all. No concern, no apology, no accountability. That alone is alarming when you're talking about raw chicken being served to customers. On top of that, I paid $4 for a drink and the employee told me they weren't allowed to fill it up because the owner said not to. So you're paying full price for half a drink, while being served unsafe food. This place shows zero care for customers or basic food safety. Please protect your health, save your money, and stay away from this restaurant.

The building has three different sections with different names, themed for what one is looking for... for example... the live music area is called... Ivan'z House Live Music Club. There's a rooftop area that is also a different name, all are part of Mozambique. We went on a Friday and it was packed. We were sat in one of their private rooms that overlook the downstairs main area. The room was intimate and much quieter than the main dining room. The whole place has a great vibe to it. Walking in, you are greeted with a huge bird cage with exotic birds. The decor is really cool and the smells of the food make one instantly hungry to try everything. The service was prompt and the staff was very kind. Now... the food. Absolutely delicious. The menu has a variety of tempting items on it, however, I wanted to try the South African food and it did not disappoint. We had somosas as an appetizer and I had the South African pie. My husband had the steak and lobster. Everything tasted amazing. We ended with a delectable dessert and a cappuccino. Afterward, we went to the bar and saw the live band setting up. Also, a cool place with a nice stage. We will definitely be back and bring the family. Thank you Mozambique for a great night.

We were escorted to our table by our server and proceeded to look over the menu. Distracted by conversation my friend knocked his silverware onto the floor, we realized there was a busser nearby cleaning off another table, so we kindly asked if we could get a new set of silverware. I saw her name tag said Alicia as she turned and gave us a nasty look, responding with something along the lines of "I am not responsible for your table, if you need something ask your server not me!" Shocked and embarrassed (since I chose this restaurant to give my friend the luxurious Laguna Beach experience) we apologized for interrupting her. Unfortunately it didn't stop there, she rudely scoffed at us and walked off angrily. We were both caught off guard and tried our best to enjoy the rest of the night. Unfortunately that wasn't it, we were trying to enjoy the night and move past the incident when we noticed that she gave us multiple angry looks through the rest of the evening. We finished our meal and left, I apologized to my friend for what had happened and promised to take him to another restaurant during our trip to make up for the terrible experience we had with Alicia. I love Mozambique and dined here on a semi frequent occasion.. unfortunately I have a bad taste in my mouth for this restaurant now, and won't be returning for a while because I would hate to have another experience like this again.

With that being said- GS Cafe and Ethiopian food is run by a mother and son duo. They are prompt and efficient but just be aware they are running the entire thing so there can be a wait for food especially when it's busy. There's seating for at least about 30 people here. And the parking lot is shared with many establishments in the same center so there's plenty. Nestled on a quiet main street, you can find authentic Ethiopian food. We ordered the #14 combo plate as it was our first time- shareable up to 2-3 people. It had a mixture of 80 percent of their menu (as the son who was taking our order put it) The amount of injera (somewhat of like a sourdough crepe) they gave us was plentiful. There was even a side basket with atleast 8 more pieces that I forgot to take a picture of. I appreciated this meal and loved the veggies. None stood out to me but I will say all were flavorful, healthy and a delight to eat. The beef and chicken were dry in my opinion but the sauce helped. I'm glad I tried this place and it was an enjoyable enough experience. Don't let my review deter you from trying it yourself as this place was pretty full when we were dining in- so try it for yourself!

I have to preface my review by saying that my father is a Moroccan Amazigh (aka Morocco's version…read moreof Native Americans in the US). Naturally Moroccan food is something I grew up with, a comfort food, and something I am a bit critical of. I've dined at many Moroccan restaurants domestically and abroad. I've left pretty much all of those restaurants feeling that the food was average. Today Casablanca became the exception. My sister booked a reservation for Mother's Day and I was looking forward to a Moroccan meal at a restaurant I hadn't heard about. My expectations weren't high due to my prior experiences and Casablanca quickly surpassed that bar and every meal exceed my highest of expectations. We ordered bastilla with chicken and almonds, a honey lamb tangine, lemon chicken tangine (one of my favorite meals), couscous with a mix of skewers, lamb sausage couscous, sea bass, Baklava, crème brulee, stuffed dates, and ice cream. It's often the attention to detail in the simplest components that typically make something special. From the texture of the couscous to the lemon chicken sauce and how the green olives absorbed the flavor was perfect. Bastilla is a very tough dish for me to like due to me preferring savory over sweet. Finding the balance of the flavors is difficult and often what is missed. Today was the first time I went back for more bastilla outside of when my aunts cooked it. The lemon chicken was incredibly flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. the Royal Couscous had various skews that were all delicious and tasted how you'd expect it to when the Moroccan aunties are getting down in the kitchen. I'm not a big lamb guy, but the lamb here wasn't gamey and fell off of the bone. The rest of the meals and desserts were equally delicious. The owner is an Algerian Amazigh and the staff was Moroccan and French. It is obvious they have a passion for what they do and truly care about their clients. My father speaks Tamazight, Arabic, and French. So he was able to speak to all the staff in their native language. The love and care they showed was wonderful and I'm sure they show this same warmth to all of their clients. I love out of a suitcase for work and get to try food in countless places. LA can spoil you, but it's often the holes in the wall that surprise you and not the trendy or more formal restaurants. Casablanca was an exception to the rule. It just became one of my favorite restaurants in SoCal. Thank you to the owner, friendly staff, and chef for making it even more special for my mom on Mother's Day. P.s. my mother is a Chamorro that has cooked Moroccan food for the last 40 years and is overly critical and as mentioned before my father is Moroccan. Both her and my father left the evening singing their praises and had some left overs when we got home. Sorry this was so long, thanks for coming to my ted talk. TLDR I'm Moroccan went with my Moroccan dad and we both think it's the best Moroccan restaurant we've had in years.

UPDATE: Ok...updating this because I see that the business responded…read more 1. I didn't talk to you or anyone on the phone. My sister was the one that called and asked about the charge. I have no clue what you are talking about with your "blackmail" comment, but that's a pretty big accusation that has nothing to do with me, so I would be very careful with that. I didn't agree with the service charge or entertainment charge or whatever you want to call it, but paid it and am not disputing anything. 2. Exactly which part of my review is inaccurate? The amount of time we had to wait? I can prove it took that long. The fact that you didn't bring out food for two of the people in our party even after waiting THAT ridiculous amount of time for our food? Um... can prove that too. That you felt this weird need after I already told you that I got your explanation to keep coming at me with your excuses? I have witnesses for that. Nothing "inaccurate" about my review. 3. I gave you that the food was delicious. It was. It was better before and I don't know what happened from that time to now, but regardless it was still delicious. HOWEVER... it was sour and mushy by the next day. My husband ate some and ended up sick from it. I wasn't going to mention that, but I guess I can now. 4. As a business owner, don't be so arrogant to think you are perfect and learn from the feedback your customers give you. As I stated, we loved the experience the first time. LOVED it... enough where we gave glowing and rave reviews of your place to friends and family and anyone that would listen. Enough that we drove all the way from San Diego up to the restaurant for dinner because it was THAT good. Take that feedback and try to figure out what went wrong and make changes to keep your restaurant successful.
