Sorting things to better decide where to place them, how to categorize them, building boxes, even showing me different ways I could fold and store my towels to get at them more easily and put more in a drawer. And she never pushed me to throw out something I didn't want to or to go with a storage solution I was uncomfortable with. She left my closet and bedroom in excellent condition and I felt proud of what we had done. I'm happier with my space, I can find things more easily, and if I need to reorganize I have the techniques she taught me and the ideas she gave me. Charged Nearly $2,000 Over Quote -- Breach of Contract, Legal Action Pending…read more We were quoted $4,459 for our project, which we accepted despite our budget being lower. We even cleared the entire space beforehand to help expedite their process and reduce costs. However, we were shocked to be charged over $6,400--nearly $2,000 more than agreed. We understand it's not always going to 100% reflect the quote, but there was no prior notice or written approval of extra charges. When we questioned the overage, they claimed they gave us "their most generous discount to date," which was misleading and unacceptable. We disputed the charge with American Express, but were told the final bill they gave us after the work counted as "written notice," despite no prior communication about the increase. This is unfair and contradicts their own contract terms. After consulting with an attorney, we were advised the company is in breach of contract. If they do not refund the overage and honor the original quote, we are fully prepared to take legal action. This review is a final effort to resolve the matter before going to court. Future clients, proceed with caution--get everything in writing.

They do not force you into buying products. They use what you have, and do what you want. I had been in a home for 30 years and moved. I had not disposed of one thing from the old house. Everything was just thrown together. I had a garage filled with things. My closets were not organized. My pantry was not organized. I couldn't find anything in this house. My house is now a dream. Their help gave me the incentive to do some things on my own. I was lost before. I know I never want to go back to that confusion. I think even if you have just a small project, this company can help you. They never forced you to give anything away. They let you make the decision. They also were not judging. The lady was so sweet. I felt a genuine connection. I thought their prices were reasonable. You do have to sign up for a certain amount of sessions after they see everything. I think this is just based on how long they think it's going to take them. I had tried a few other people. They were not as professional. My house was organized well and at a much faster pace than others. I cannot recommend this company enough.

She also offered to refund part of the organization fee since I decided to only do the kitchen. I really appreciate her willingness to clarify and make things right. Rachel is incredibly kind, friendly, and an absolute powerhouse when it comes to cleaning. She made my home look spotless -- every surface gleamed, everything smelled fresh, and her attention to detail in the main cleaning work was fantastic. It was such a relief walking into such a fresh, tidy space. That being said, there were a few small things that could be improved. For whatever reason, I felt like she was very rushed. The trash was left right outside the apartment without a new bag in the bin, and the dishwasher wasn't started -- small touches I've had with other cleaners in the past that make a nice difference. I had also paid for organization, originally planning to do the guest room and kitchen, but when she arrived I decided to just do the kitchen. The charge stayed the same, which I wish had reflected the smaller scope. Overall, Rachel's cleaning skills are truly excellent, and she's a joy to work with. With a little more consistency on the smaller finishing touches and more clarity in pricing, her service would be perfect. I would still recommend her to anyone looking for a deep, high-quality clean.

(When you learn her system it's no mystery how she remembers to do that.) She doesn't teach by showing you and walking away. She has you do it on the spot, getting every little to-do out of your head, onto paper, then scheduled on the calendar. The relief you feel when you know that you won't forget something important is unreal. I've tried a million different ways to keep track of things, methods for doing certain things on certain days, etc... none of that works. Life is always in flux and her system lets you embrace that. It also doesn't hurt that Sara is super funny, down to earth, and a living breathing organizing Mary Poppins. I've had a little taste of her physical organizing services and convinced they are just as amazing as her calendaring system. I live in a tiny space and run a business from it as well so it requires quite a bit of ingenuity. I'm looking forward to getting some of her help here with maximizing closet space etc... She's the best.

After years and years of hanging on to "things" I never used, sold or donated and thus making our garage a messy, unsightly and unusable place, I changed my mindset, thanks to Ariane and Shannon and couldn't be happier AND healthier. It feels much better to live in the present than to hang on to things from my past. These are things I decided someone else could much better use and enjoy, and the adage, if you haven't used it in a year, you don't "need" it, is so true. Ariane and Shannon helped me and my husband to sort, donate, toss or keep so many things we had saved for 20 or more years. They also offer to take items to donate as well. I learned about my city's (Fullerton) numerous opportunities for large item pick ups and extra trash pick ups (for an added fee) in the process. I became a familiar face at our local disposal place, which I (don't laugh) was kinda nervous about going to before, and that's why so many things didn't get "dumped." Our garage now has useable totes and shelves and designated spaces for items we truly need and use for our home and life. Big pluses for "The Clutter Nanny" are that both Ariane and Shannon are punctual, hard working, organized, great communicators and schedulers, conscientious, creative, and fantastic problem solvers. Now, and for our future, we have our two-car garage back and I look FORWARD to doing my laundry, storing and easily getting outdoor accessories and decor, easily finding camping items and tools to use indoors and outdoors. All our garage clutter is gone, and with this mindset, which Ariane and Shannon fostered in me, which feels and IS healthy, I am positive, I will not go back to clutter again. I'm seven months pregnant with our second baby, and our kitchen, pantry, and utility closet had become completely overwhelming. My husband and I did not have the time or energy to redo everything before the baby arrived. I especially needed help making our space work better for a toddler while preparing for newborn life again. They stepped in, understood exactly what we needed, and created practical solutions that made our home feel calm and manageable. At the end of the day it was something that needed to be done; something we were never going to do half as well as they did; and something that would lead to headaches and fights. We're so glad it was Ariane and Shannon doing it, not us. It was worth every penny. If you are thinking about booking them, plan ahead because their calendar fills up quickly.
