The most amazing experience I have ever encountered. Most personal doctor and always felt comfortable. During my C-section Dr. Foong made sure that my incision was perfect and barely can see my cut. I one thousand percent recommend this doctor. Unfortunately this is my last rodeo and wanted to acknowledge his professionalism. read more

This was my first visit, and I truly felt I found the right OB-GYN after meeting a few doctors in my area. Dr. Foong is very knowledgeable, professional, warm, and friendly, which made me feel comfortable and confident in his care from the beginning. Scheduling appointments is easy, and he always prioritizes pregnancy concerns. Having two offices in Arcadia and Alhambra and Saturday appointments is a huge plus, especially for working pregnant women. My whole pregnancy journey was beautiful. I felt safe and knew I was in the right hands. Terry, Rosa, and the entire administrative staff are very kind, professional, and always willing to listen to concerns. The labor and delivery experience was memorable and beautiful thanks to his care. My recovery and postpartum journey for both baby and me were smooth, fast, and successful. I will definitely come back to him for my future pregnancy. Highly recommend! read more

Dr. Foong has been my OB for decades! Yes, decades! He's been with me threw my womanly journey - from being a virgin , to becoming a mother, and now as an aging lady anticipating menopause! He has two locations: Alhambra and Arcadia. Shout out to the Arcadia location, best staff ever! Dr. Foong knows his stuff and gives you the info in a simple straight forward manner, always ethical and never upsells anything. I really wish he would expand his care into become my primary care doctor too - he's really great! Even though he's my OB, he always takes the time to answer any health related questions, provides informations and ensures I receive the proper referrals. read more

Dr Foong is amazing and staffs are very friendly and helpful! The office is good size

Dr. Foong is the best. Always made sure I understood what was going on throughout my pregnancy. I had a C-section and it was done beautifully by him. His staff is also amazing always made me feel welcomed and always on top of things read more

Terrible experience. This doctor gave me ovulation meds and wrong TTC advice even though I had no fertility issues, which caused an infection. I got pregnant that cycle, but he gave me meds unsafe for pregnancy and later denied it. I had light bleeding and low HCG from the start. At 6 weeks, he did the ultrasound himself and said everything looked fine. A week later, I had massive bleeding and pain. He suddenly said it might be ectopic. I was rushed to the ER for emergency surgery and nearly died from internal bleeding. Completely irresponsible and dangerous. read more

Excellant care by doctor and staff. Dr Foong is very knowledgable and understanding...he provided the best care during my initial 1st month of pregnancy post which we moved to new city afar. Dr. Foong successfully delivered our healthy baby boy through a c-section. We had a terrible OB at first and I'm glad we found Dr. Foong and made our first pregnancy a great experience. My wife has a complicated (heart stent) making her pregnancy high-risk, but Dr. Foong took his time looking into her medical records to make sure that everything would be okay during her delivery. He made a good birth plan and suggested the best for her situation. read more

First, I want to thank Dr. Foong for everything. Thank you, Dr. For your support and professionalism. I couldn't have gone to a better place than your clinic in Arcadia. I know there's one in Alhambra as well, which is great because in case of emergency like it happened to me I was able to see you there. I'm forever grateful.. I love everything bout, Dr. Foong, from his honesty to his opinion as a professional doctor who has been doing this for decades. No doubt he knows what he's talking about when he tells you something. I was blessed to have found Dr. Foong. I came to his office with a high-risk pregnancy. Chronic hypertension, and it had been difficult for me to find a doctor to see me. He saw me at his office, and we talked about my situation, so he referred me to a specialist, another great doctor, Dr. Karimi in San Gabriel to be seen for my high blood pressure. Thank you, Dr. Foong for listening to your patients and putting their needs first. I continued to come to my visits with Doctor Foong, and I was able to give birth at Garfield Hospital successfully. Dr. Foong would come in daily to check on me and talk about every step of the way. Which made a huge difference because I didn't feel lost. We talked about what's next and what our options were. Because of my condition, I was C-section, safer for mommy and baby. But it was a successful experience, and I would definitely recommend Dr. Nicolai Foong at any of his locations, I went to his Arcadia location, and appointments were great. Not much of a waiting time, either. I love that about the visits, and the front staff is wonderful. Thank you, Rosa, for everything. You're truly the best thank you for ur kindness and patience. Thank you to both for everything. I would give Dr. Foong as many stars as I could. read more

if you're a new or expecting first time mom, look for another obgyn. dr foong was the first obgyn i saw once i found out i was pregnant and it was a terrible experience. he treats his interns(?) as if they're his servants and are so rude to them they literally look terrified of him. he claims that no ultrasound machine in today's modern technology filled world has the ability to listen to your baby's heartbeat, which is a bunch of crap. i switched ob's a little before my second trimester began and my new ob was able to play my baby's heartbeat for me. it was magical. his ultrasound prints are also trash, so don't expect anything to come out clear. payments are completed by cash only, so you better run to the bank before every doctor visit. he also likes to charge $25 per visit even though my insurance covers every visit after the first initial visit. call your insurance to confirm the out of pocket price for your obgyn visits before coming. i had to call dr foong's office several times to get my refunds back, and even then, they made it seem like i was lying and said they'd call my insurance on their own to confirm. i finally got my refund a month later. make sure you do your due diligence and research/google your doctors clearly before scheduling that first appointment, i learned the hard way. read more

Best OBGYN EVER! I've had 2 C-Sections with Dr. Foong and let's just say I have a sweet clean incision. You can barely tell I had C-sections. He's funny and cares about my family. If you need a talented OBGYN then DR. FOONG is who you need. read more

STAY AWAY!! Dr. Foong was the worst. Everything was fine until he learned we had a birth plan. Thanks to him I'm undergoing labor trauma and so many anxiety attacks every time I remember my labor. At the hospital, he was so rude and unprofessional screaming at me during delivery and after delivery. Trying to rush me because it was Father's Day and he wanted to leave. He started talking to me as if I was stupid and didn't speak English. He did not care about anything that was on my birth plan. He made me push before my body was ready, and took my placenta out before my body released it. Now I have bladder prolapse thanks to what he did and might need surgery. When I went to get checked because I knew I had a prolapse, cause I could feel it. He checked me and said he didn't feel anything. I had to show him photos I took and said I had bladder prolape and to just rest for one more month and it would go away on its own (which is a lie, prolapse doesn't go away on its own, you need at least pelvic floor therapy ) I told him I was still bleeding and he said it was normal, and it isn't, and now I'm facing an infection because I have a piece of placenta still inside and a chance of surgery because I left the prolapse untreated and it got worse. read more

This doc doesn't deserve more than two stars . One for his hispanic receptionist and one for himself. It's a waste of morale to ask this doc for his expertise . He might be smart but more likely smartass to me read more

Dr. Foong is a really amazing doctor. He figured out my problem in just one visit. He also explains things very well. I am glad I found him on Yelp. The best gynecologist I have ever met. The best experience even though it's the annual "lady exam"... The receptionist/assistant has such a welcoming energy. Dr. Foong has the best bed side manner hands down, without a doubt. Helped addressed all concerning questions and took his time to explain them thoroughly! Disclaimer - I am not a frequent Yelper, but he and his office deserves the praise and good review! read more

I would like to thank Dr. Foong for delivering my little princess this year. Dr. Foong is very smart, knowledgeable and skillful. He has many patients and he has good time management. With more than 30 years experience as an obgyn, he has seen them all. So you can trust him. Also, you don't have to wait long in his office. Usually you can get out in 30 minutes. He doesn't waste your time and he explains things to the point. Special thanks to his amazing assistant Rosa. She is very sweet and caring! read more

I give one star to Dr. Foong's office for his wonderful receptionist. However, I would not recommend ANY woman to come to him for your ob/gyn needs! It's now apparent that Dr. Foong spends his time "building a relationship" with his patients by sharing his past with his super star ex-gf... Can anyone say CREEPY?? I will not go into details about how unprofessional he is...but my dear ladies, protect yourself and do NOT go to him! read more

The receptionist is actually kind to the patients, and you don't have to wait days/weeks to get an appointment so it's a good place to call especially if you need to see a doctor quickly! The doctor actually spends time talking to patients and answering questions. Dr. Foong listens to his patients and addresses their questions and concerns without rushing them. The only problem is his office does not accept many insurance companies so you may need to pay out of pocket if your insurance provider is not accepted. read more

Horrible experience. This Doc has no respect to women and his patient at all. He has this attitude towards his patient that you don't know where it's coming from. He's very rude & impatient. Be careful and stay away. read more

One great ob gyn. He is great! I wish all doctors could be like him. I am very lucky to be able to see him because I have a lousy insurance. Chronic medical issues suck!!! read more

I have only gone to him once because I needed a gynecologist and now I'm moving out of town, but he made my first gyno appt. VERY comfortable. From a husband's perspective: Dr Foong is very personable and treated my wife well which is important to me. My wife has seen him for our last two pregnancies and the prenatal care and delivery was safe and successful. Actually, the 2nd pregnancy was an semi-emergent C section, but he took care of everything and included me as part of the delivery process. I had most of my interactions with him at the hospital and he was very accommodating and careful. I like him because he takes the time to explain to us. According to my wife, Dr Foong is on-time and will schedule on the same day if you have any questions or concerns. Its great to have a doctor that is accommodating and patient like him read more

Dr. Foong was great through the whole process. He is very professional and makes you feel comfortable. I lost my water and started labor two weeks early. He was 7 hours away at the time on a weekend trip When he was notified of my situation he immediately. Cut his trip a day short and returned home to perform my c section. Really? How many obgyns Would do that? Awesome Doctor. read more

Dr Foong is an amazing OBGYN, I dont have the best insurance and prior to having him I was assigned to a different doctor who was no help at all and I requested a different doctor in my last trimester of pregnancy and was lucky enough to get Dr. Foong, he took me on as a patient right away and Had an appointment with him within the same week of being assigned to him. He answered all my questions and concerns, took good care of me and recently delivered my daughter via c section. I was terrified but he did the procedure so good and fast my daughter was here in no time, i felt very safe and secure with this doctor. Also not to mention our appointments were quick, i was in and out of the office within 30 mins, definitely recommend this doctor. Also his assistant rosa is very kind and sweet, very helpful and good at what she does. I will definitely be sticking to this doctor for any future pregnancies. read more

Amazing and funny. His staff is great they respect patients time. He delivered both my kiddos!

My girlfriend gave me the name of Dr. Foong after he delivered her baby. He has an office in Arcadia and Monterey Park. As a doctor, I like him. He's straight to the point, informative, answers all your questions, has good bedside manners, and explains each step as he's doing things (no surprises here ladies!). My only gripe is that his office needs some major redesigning and a more pleasant staff. His staff at the MP office could brush up on their professionalism; and from what my gf told me, the Arcadia office isn't that much better. Overall, I'll continue going to him because I like him as a doctor. You just have to ignore the state of his office and staff. read more

I have been Dr. Foong's patient for more than 5 years. A few years ago, one of my colleagues referred Dr. Foong to me.
