serious recommendations on info from inadequate/unsatisfactory specimen/test is unethical
    Anna N.

If you want your OB to treat you like livestock from industrialized farming and milk you for all the insurance money like a cash cow, go ahead and give this place a shot! First things first for criteria - the criterion from which all other criteria falls of selecting any kind of doctor - is the degree of humane respect with which they view their patient's body. She/her receptionist tried to withhold test results which is a HIPAA violation (patient can get their results if they pay for it; there's even signage in their office that copies will cost $1-5). Upon obtaining the actual results, it revealed the lab itself noted in layman's terms (it wasn't one of those ambiguous tests where it's just acronyms and numbers with decimals and reliant on professional and possibly varying interpretation) that the accuracy of the test could not be determined because the sample was obscured in 75% blood. I have never experienced a doctor so forceful about how you should "just do" as she tells you. She did not initially want to turn over the results without another appointment ($$) to convince you. Instead of a retest, she uncompromisingly demanded a biopsy; not even a retest then a colposcopy but a biopsy because suddenly you're at a higher risk of cancer because of test results that were so unreliable they should've been thrown out. She is out for cervical flesh to bill. Over the phone her interpretation of the test (before it was produced to the patient) was that it was "93%" positively accurate. 93% is absolutely nowhere to be seen on the produced lab result! Indeed quite the opposite. Apparently, Dr. Yu "doesn't even science" middle school scientific method 101. Unreliable sample yields unreliable results that cannot be fully and reliably evaluated. From her rude demeanor and rough handling another appointment would not have convinced anyone that they shouldn't see another doctor and get their results which will show you exactly how much she plays into fear mongering tactics and manipulates the information she is supposed to honestly disseminate. I posted a photo of the results and what is not shown is what was above the section photographed in *bold and bullet-arrow point* "Unable to provide interpretation due to unsatisfactory specimen adequacy." The office receptionist is rude and incompetent and rude about her incompetence which is corroborated by the many other reviews. Really wish I would have read reviews about this doctor. She makes you wait for half an hour despite not having very many patients (one an hour average) and sees you for ten minutes and much of that time is spent with personal remarks about society such as how the younger generation is lazy, etc. so be prepared to go in for an objective exam and end up being a therapist for a greedy, psychopathic sadist who takes her frustrations out on you. What kind of seasoned OB takes a simple Pap smear which even nurse practitioners are trained to do well - and practically injures a patient so much that the specimen that went to the lab couldn't be accurately verified since it's obscured in 75% blood? Michelle takes the overflow from Deborah, her sister, who seems like the better doctor and is usually over booked. There are two types of seasoned physicians - one grows more caring and sagacious and the other grows more greedy (because they're well versed in insurance) and think they already know it all. She is the latter.

I have been trying to pay my bill but it was returned for no forwarding address. I've been trying to reach the office but it says they are in hiatus and moving locations. So where are they moving to?

Few months ago I received a letter that they are moving but lost the letter. Does anyone know Dr Yu new office address? Thank you.

Dr. Michelle Yu no longer practices general OBGYN. She is now working at the Arcadia Life IVF office as reproductive endocrinologist.

My family and I feel very grateful to have Dr. Chiang as my OB-GYN. When I was in the hospital, he came to check on me almost every day. He has a lot of experience, very strict but also very friendly, and if you follow his instructions carefully, you'll be fine. I also had a little trouble during my pregnancy and had to call his hotline at 5 a.m. Both times, the doctor answered quickly and gave advice right away. The staff are nice too. They do their jobs well and were very patient when working with our private health insurance. I am generally very shy and get nervous easily in many situations, but I had a great experience with the doctor and his staff. Being pregnant is not easy, but they made it better. Every person has a different experience, and pregnancy can be emotional, but I truly feel that Dr. Chiang and his staff care about patient health.

I don't think he cares about the feeling of the patients. I asked if I can have c section for some reason, he didn't look at my file and shouted in the office saying I am the one who can decide, not you! He didn't show out his rudeness until it is too late for us to change the doctor! Don't go to him, he is going to ruin your pregnancy and delivery. He was very emotional and can't control his own emotion at all. I am not sure if he had bad experience with some other patients before, but this could not be the reason for him to be rude! He lost temper easily and yelled at the patient for no reason. He is also seeing too many patients at the same time, each time is in a rush, you don't feel that you were cared at all! Very bad experience with him! I regret having him as my ob, it has brought a lot of trouble and painful memories to me.

Getting a hold of someone whenever I have questions have never been easier. Not only do they pickup the phone call in a timely manner, but I was never in a longer hold. A few instances happened when they were busy, but that's understandable. I am always able to message them through my portal. Anything urgent, they are on top of it. Luckily I only had 2 events when this happened. From getting my labs to any test I needed, this clinic had been a breeze! I've called several other clinics before finding out about FOWH and the rest either never pickup or they're so disorganized and unhelpful during a phone consult. The sonographers that we've had were always kind, timely and helpful. We have had some questions and they're so wonderful in addressing them. Biggest shoutout to our Dr. Mitri. He is empathetic, highly knowledgeable and is just a good human being. He pays attention to every detail, he doesn't miss any question we have and he's very good at responding to our out-of-office messages/questions. His bedside manners are exceptional. He is respectful, has a good sense of humor and does his job really well. We're so happy to be a patient at FOWH and we appreciate the staff for being great! We look forward to every visit we have.

I then had to pay for an HSG and a hysteroscopy to assess the damage. I am indeed missing my right fallopian tube. I was told they'd reimburse me for those, but I'd have to submit it through insurance. I can't bring myself to go through this process. So I'm posting my experience as a warning to other women. This botched procedure was performed on NYE of 2024, and I still have pain. I still feel intense anger when I think about how the doctor chuckled that I'd still be able to get pregnant through IVF when I was crying that I was worried I'd never be able to get pregnant again.

I was in the very early stage of pregnancy when I first went to see him. Since I did not know my…read morecycle well, he told me I seemed to be about 2 to 3 weeks pregnant. From what I understood, at that stage it is usually too early to see anything through an abdominal ultrasound, and a cervical ultrasound would normally be needed. However, he examined me through my stomach and even said he could see a tiny dot that was supposed to be the gestational sac. I felt suspicious, but because he was the doctor and it was my first pregnancy, I let it go. I had a short flight planned for a vacation, so I specifically asked him whether it was safe for me to travel, and he said it was fine. During the trip, I started having severe bleeding. I was in another state, panicking, and could not just walk into his office. I called him and the nurse, since they had my chart and should have known my situation and how far along I was. I even checked the office hours before calling to make sure they were still open. The only answer I got was, "The office is closed. Call back on Monday." It was Saturday, and according to their posted hours, the office was supposed to still be open. I was not expecting anyone to magically stop the bleeding over the phone. I simply wanted basic guidance about whether this was an emergency and what I should do next. I was terrified and almost fainted from panic. Eventually, I went to a nearby urgent care, where I found out it was a chemical pregnancy and that I had miscarried. I was furious at how both the doctor and the nurses handled everything. I still cannot understand how a doctor could respond to a desperate patient like that. What made it even worse was what happened afterward. When I called later to cancel my next appointment because of the miscarriage, I was hoping for at least a little compassion, maybe something like, "I'm sorry to hear that. Please take care." Instead, the nurse simply said, "You want to cancel? Okay, bye." Please do not go here. This place is the worst. I still do not understand how he has such high reviews. My experience was horrible.
