Zero stars. Receptionist was very rude and said doctor will not take appointments for consultations.

My experience with Rose Women's Health have been great. All the front desk staff and appointment…read moreschedulers have been easy to work with. There have been times they had to cancel my appointments but it happens. It's frustrating but no need to take a step further and write terrible reviews. I have been seen by both Dr. Rose and Dr. Gau and they are both very wonderful and knowledgeable. As a healthcare worker myself, I rarely see good reviews regarding hospitals and clinics. What people tend to forget is that doctors, nurses and medical staff are also humans, and will have good and bad days. They may not smile as much or may seem rushed to get things through on some days. Many people "perceive" these subtle things differently and some will take it personally and write nasty reviews and I find that to be very unfortunate. I express condolences to those that may have had geuninely negative experiences. But before you write up a review that could hurt the clinic, maybe think twice before you do so, because women are complicated, and pregnant women are extra hormonal and emotional. Healthcare burnouts are real because people expect great customer service, but hospitals and clinics are not part of that industry, so that's technically not part of their obligation.

Highly disappointed how a woman's facility could leave me hurting emotionally, medically and…read morefinancially. I'm 52 and desperately looking for Rx: HRT (especially since I got nowhere with my GP female doctor, because blood-work "normal"). When scheduling, I informed of prior "lack" of care and asked if I needed blood-work, and front desk said No. After waiting 4 months to be seen, Dr Ghau spent less than 5 minutes with me, asked the same questions their paperwork required and said there was "Nothing to do, get blood-work." They ran my insurance AND charged me $300, for Absolutely NOTHING!!! I informed front desk that I specifically asked about blood-work and they said they would talk to their front desk. I asked for a refund and they never called me back.

I recently went to Dr. Schlaerth after the hospital found a huge ovarian cyst in my abdomen. I was…read morereferred to him by my General Practitioner. I was really nervous at my initial appointment. He understood and was very kind to me. We discussed the procedure that would be best for my situation. I was given a list of preparations to complete before the surgery to protect me from any infection. The people he had in the operating room were very professional, but kind. The procedure was done orthoscopically. Upon waking up I had almost no feeling of pain at all. I was amazed feeling like I was ready to go home. After laying there for about an hour I was able to go home. I had previously had another ovarian cyst removed by another doctor and it was removed more like a c-section and took about a week to feel better. Not here though, I was quite amazed. Dr Schlaerth is an amazing doctor. He is patient to listen, kind and understanding and I feel so blessed to have been directed to his carer.

This office is very nice and I dont know what is up with all the negative comments, the front office can get busy but they are respectful and informative and they answer all their calls which I can never get a hold of my primary doctor or other specialist and I usually can get in within a week! Dr. Leung is very up front with things and doesn't sugar coat anything which I love. I am very happy and pleased I ended up here.

I know for some, it can feel a bit abrasive, but I truly appreciate that quality about her. When I finally became pregnant after years of infertility, she did everything to make sure my baby and I were healthy. We have built such a great rapport over the years that I fully trusted her when she made the call for an emergency c-section during my labor which literally saved my baby's life. I am so, so grateful to have her as my obgyn. To touch on her office staff- yes, they can be difficult. Yes, you really have to be your own advocate. Her new office staff has been better recently, but I can honestly look past the issues over the years just because I trust and feel comfortable with Dr Leung.

Edit: The owner has sent me a DM threatening to sue me for defamation if I do not take this review…read moredown which is so unethical! I have reported the owner to Yelp and Optum for threatening lawsuit. They should be more concerned with providing high-quality care and rectifying their mistakes rather than threatening patients who share their negative experiences. Please check out these other reviews from women with the same experience getting an IUD: https://tinyurl.com/4er5hecs https://tinyurl.com/3d2734ek Original review: I cannot put into a review how disappointed I am with this office. 1 star is not low enough. TLDR: My doctor referred me here specifically for an IUD insertion appointment, but I have not been able to get one as they are not accepting my insurance (despite them being in my medical group and confirming with my very good insurance plan that it is covered)!!! They initially wanted me to send over $1,000 out of pocket to some random Zelle/Venmo account for the procedure, and then "refund" me when they billed my insurance after. If I did not ask them if I had been approved by insurance, I would have paid and ended up not have being refunded! I saw many others had this same experience. Insurance billing staff was completely unprofessional and was talking about gambling while completely messing up my billing and forgetting to have me sign major paperwork. I have voicemails of this experience and have filed complaints with Optum. I have been in constant distress during the process of trying to receive an IUD with them, and have had to call them almost every day for weeks on end. The insurance billing staff is not prepared for their job. They are not knowledgeable on billing procedures and communication is very poor. I came in a few weeks ago after getting approval to go here from my GP and was referred for an IUD appointment. I came in, gave them my insurance, and paid $50 out of pocket co-pay to to have an appointment to get approved for my IUD (I never was seen by the doctor). There was absolutely no warning that they may not take my insurance for an IUD despite filling out extensive paperwork and giving them my insurance before this initial appointment! After my initial on-boarding appointment, I was given the go-ahead to set up my next appointment for my IUD insertion. However, the office staff and doctor forgot to have me sign required paperwork, so I had to come back into their office to do this before they would put in the order for the IUD. The insurance billing staff member was too busy complaining about how he lost a bunch of his money in online sports gambling (Cowboys vs. the Bears football game) with other staff rather than making sure I had everything I needed. I even had to remind them to scan my insurance card! So completely unprofessional and disrespectful. After I signed the paperwork, this is when they began telling me that my insurance did not cover the device (though I confirmed with my insurance that they do, it is literally required by law in the Affordable Care Act that major non-religious insurers must cover the IUD that I wanted). I have given up and have changed providers. I saw other reviews saying they were pushing expensive hormone injections on patients and had other questionable billing practices and I do not doubt it one bit. I really think there is something fishy going on with how they do the billing and I have reported it to Optum. I WISH I LISTENED TO THE OTHER REVIEWS, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT AN IUD!!!

The Doctor herself is good but her office policies are ridiculous. The office staff are extremely…read moreincompetent. I have had a month of going back and forth, my insurance has assured me and the office that the IUD I am getting is 100% covered under the preventative services Healthcare Reform Bill. This includes all co-pays related to a removal and insertion. I had to pay a copay to remove one, after going back and forth there is now a refund "on file." I am now being asked to pay a $1,000 deposit for the IUD when my insurance will pay it 100%. Why the deposit? It's their company policy and I need to speak to their billing department. How can I do that if they are not answering my calls? My appointment for the insertion of an IUD was canceled without my knowledge. I found out because I followed the link on my text, that confirmed my appointment and it said CANCELED. I would have taken time off my work to go to a canceled appointment? This whole thing should have been so much easier than they are making it out to be. I will be calling my insurance to get a new referral to a more competent OB/GYN office.
