Should've read the reviews ! I hate leaving negative reviews but I was so disappointed in this restaurant.. My wife and I arrived for a long awaited anniversary meal without the kids. Reservations are easy and parking close by. Building itself has weird vibe with sky deck at the top with DJ pumping and restaurant ground floor that tries to be upscale but instead is not quite clean and sloppily finished with slapdash construction, broken light fixtures, poor paint and uneven lighting . Cheesy glowing menus. First , the positives- friendly waitstaff and reasonably prompt service. As a former waiter and food service worker I pay attention to these types of things. Drinks were good and appropriately priced. Salads were good as was my bisque. Now the bad. My wife's French onion soup was the worst we've ever tried . Inedible- tasting like eating pepper right from the jar. I've been to hundreds of steak dinners including some of the best in NY, Chicago and Vegas over my life and this was likely the worst steak I've ever had at a sit down restaurant. Thin, poor quality cut and not cooked to temperature. The old Ponderosa (for those who remember this) had better quality. The chef should be ashamed to serve this. Au gratin potatoes served as if from high school cafeteria left overs with extra salt. My wife's mahi mahi at least reasonably well plated but seasoning was way off. Desert was no better. "Molten" lava cake small, very little filling. Trader Joes that we heat up in the toaster oven tastes and looks better. Overall an embarrassing dinner for a restaurant that bills itself as a "chophouse ". The bill for my wife and I for dinner, dessert, 2 drinks each was almost $200 before tip. Save yourself and get better food , ambience and half the price by going to longhorns .

Great place and ambiance for a summer evening. In upstate NY we had some 80 degrees plus weather last week. My husband and I decided to sit on the rooftop patio and have a drink and dinner. Bar service was phenomenal. I had a buffalo chicken wrap - honestly the cheese and blue cheese tasted funky. My husband had the turkey wrap and said it was great. We will be back.

Cozy atmosphere and quality steaks. A great selection of cocktails, wines, and beer. Something on the menu to satisfy everyone at our table. Great value too.

Giving a 4 star because the Food was delicious but maintenance is lacking. Inside is run down. The awnings outside the entrance are dirty. Very friendly waitress

We came as a larger group and they were nice enough for us to order from the breakfast menu as they switched over the lunch menu at 11:30am. Our table enjoyed the food but all agreed it wasn't worth the price point. I tried the chocolate croissant with homemade butter and maple bacon jam along with the Canadian bacon Benedict. The chocolate croissant was nice with the maple bacon jam but definitely not worth the price point of $12. The croissant was quite smaller, like the chocolate croissants you can get from Costco or Starbucks. The Canadian bacon eggs Benedict however was delicious and I really enjoyed it! I just am not sure again it was worth the high price point. However I definitely felt the service was missing. As we were the only ones in the dining area, I felt the service was missing the mark. The server saw we were carrying a baby in the restaurant but didn't ask if we wanted a high chair. My mother-in-law spied it in the corner and then we had to ask for it and we proceeded to set it up at the table. As I was with 2 young kids, I ordered some simple items before the main course like their chocolate croissant and fruit cup. I assumed the server would ask if we wanted those ahead of time but that didn't happen. He also had forgotten my son's drink order and which my son actually had to ask him after some time "where's my juice?" My older son had ordered the s'mores waffles and it looked good when it was delivered but as I cut some of it for me to try later on, I soon realized the batter was uncooked in the middle of most of them. I was thoroughly disappointed he had eaten some of it before I discovered it was uncooked. The server throughly apologized and they remade the order which in the end, we ended up taking home with us. They also didn't take the order off the check for us which normally that would happen. For such a classy restaurant, we would think they would know how to make waffles and for more top-notch service. I think next time we will just enjoy the nice views and choose to eat somewhere else when we are in the area.

The most incredible (and only) speakeasy in the Finger Lakes…read more After hours of driving, we knew we needed a cool spot to go to at night for some delicious wine. Of course, the Finger Lakes are KNOWN for wine so we're just thinking we're making reservations for a wine bar (with "speakeasy" vibes). Which that would've been totally cool with us. After continuous back and forth, changing our reservations 50 million times, adding and taking people out, we finally made it to Vinifera on a Friday night and were super apologetic since we had to make yet another change. The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating, they made sure our party of 10 would be in the same room/table. The only "downfall" was that we'd have to share the room with another small party. Which was absolutely not a problem and we ended up being BFF'S with them by the end of the night. We met the owner Jim - the most incredible human - and he took us down to the speakeasy (which passes right through a super secretive door in the back of the main room upstairs). Side note - the main room upstairs is a vibe on it's own btw and we would've been absolutely fine and happy there. It's an actual wine store and you can purchase all kind of local wines. Be sure to ask and get all the recommendations you want. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible time but we got a super cool VIP experience and learned the story and so much history about this place, the concept, the origin and what sparked the idea of creating it. That itself, was a treat. On to the actual speakeasy experience. When you go downstairs (through that fun super cool super secretive door) - you're instantly transported to another era, another time. It's dark, it's velvety, chandeliers, spiderwebs (the aesthetic kind, idk if there were actually any but it fit the vibe in my head), Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, candles, curtains. There are two super cool rooms, one to the right (which is where our large party sat at) and one to the left - totally recommended for smaller groups, it's cozy, it's chill, you can interact and share with other guests too. Just by this, I'm wowed. As if this wasn't enough, the drinks were absolutely incredible. I ended up ordering some kind of a smoked drink and they happily substituted the regular old fashioned for mezcal. What a dream. Everyone was happy with their drink orders, some ordered some off the menu things and they happily made them - even though they technically only serve what's on the menu. Wine flights are also available if you're in the wine vibe. Bottom line: we loved this place SO much, we came back 2 night's later for our last night. We sat in the other room and absolutely loved and enjoyed it. I had a lavender drink and it was delish. This place is a GEM and you should absolutely check it out and support it if you're in the area. If you're not, well now you have a place I know you'll love to go to!

Loaded with chicken and all the fixings, it was perfect accompaniment for our draft beers. We decided to order a shared main.
