We realized as soon as we got the keys that the front / only door would not lock, meaning we couldn't move anything in. My panic (and lock issue) totally fixed *quickly by Nickolas within a few hours of initial contact with him. He quickly went to work explaining that even tho the door and lock and key were working on their own, the door jam likely "settled" over time as buildings do, meaning he had to drill out a new hole for the deadbolt. I had an impressive stroke of bad luck and dropped my keys down the elevator shaft of my building (DO NOT RECOMMEND). My mail key was among the keys that needed replacing, and I learned that I needed a whole replacement lock installed. I thought this was going to be a huge headache. The Technician arrived on time but didnt seem like he knew what he was doing. took a while to open a simple lock. The price was not as expected because last time I had A able locksmith open my door and paid much less and the lock was opened in less than 2 minutes. Notice how he has twelve 5 star reviews BUT, at the bottom of all reviews there are 63 not currently recommended...He must pay for the reviews. He is HORRIBLE! I'd give zero stars if it was an option. I waited well over an hour, and was quoted $85 to open a single screen door. He arrives in pajamas as if he's come straight from his bed. He proceeds to my screen door and uses a balloon device to opens the it in one minute (The screen was the only door locked, my other door was open). He also never tried to pick the lock. He asks me for my card and I tell him that I need to see what he's doing on his phone, (a card charge website, a payment app etc. I'm not just handing over my card, for all I know he's just writing down my card information.) He shows me the phone and the price is now $199!!!! I am livid at this point and I tell him that is not how much the quote was. He mentions an additional service fee. SCAMMER! I am a single mother and the ONLY reason I paid was so that I could get my kids and I inside without dealing with him ever again.
