3 stars is for average food. Service was great, and ambiance was good- clean, big space, but 5/10 bathrooms. Maybe the one Greek place in Dublin/Pleasanton Truva, has spoiled me, but this locations food was surprisingly average. Halouma fries - a special for fried cheese, was placed over a bed of greens. Really excellent 5/5 Salad was good. It has crispy greens, some Kalamata olives, and crispy pita croutons. Pleasant dressing. 4/5 Schwarma bowl was good. Rice a little disappointing how average it was, shwarma is ok- a little spongy and dry but not great. Some salad also mixed in. 4/5 Chicken Shwarma wrap was good. Some mayo dijon dressing, 4/5 fries inside. 3/5 Nicks fries with shawarma had a good base of fries nice texture, but the raw garlic made it inedible. Shawarma was just ok. 1/5 Hummus was slightly sour and chunky, not smooth or creamy like I was hoping. 1/5 Very good service- went above and beyond. And fast as well. read more

I had been to the gym, grocery store, and Costco. I needed some fuel & stopped in to check out the menu. The restaurant was clean, spacious and well designed. There was also a great outdoor area to dine. I was promptly greeted by a cheerful employee at the counter. I decided to try one of the basics, a falafel pita. It was delicious!! The falafels were crisp on the outside & warm and delicious on the inside. All the vegetables: lettuce, tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onions were fresh and perfect. The tzatziki was tasty. Food is delicious! I've been here 5 times in 8 days and have always gotten the Mediterranean Bowl Combo. I've never had Greek food before so this is such a nice addition to Tracy. The restaurant was clean every time I've gone and the workers were always helpful and kind! Will definitely be back. read more

The store is neat and clean. The people working there were kind and helpful. I was impressed with how efficient they were considering that they have not been open for a long time. Now the best part. The food was excellent I really liked the side salad it was well balanced. My family tried a plethora of different foods and everyone loved what they ordered. This is going to sound funny but one of my favorite things were the french fries. They remind me of the fries at in-n-out. Overall I enjoyed this place and I will be back soon. read more

Like every other nick the greek it's what you expect. Service is definitely slower here compared to The ones in sj and Dublin. maybe it's just people who stand in line and still can't figure out what to order and holding up their one cash register .... I'm not against tipping but I hate the new menus at any "fast food " spot that gives you options to tip. I miss Europe and Asian countries for sure. you don't see any other fast food restaurant asking for tip. As for those hater reviews below, this is a Greek establishment not Indian restaurant. I love Nick the Greek but I may have come too soon as the portions were so small. I hope they're still trying to get the hang of things w/their staff. We got 2 gyros and they seemed to skimp on the filling. It was a very skinny gyro and finished it in a few bites. It was honestly more like a snack and I was still hungry. The froyo w/baklava was also a bit disappointing, again the portion size was small and the cup could have been filled more. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. parking can be tricky. read more

Lots of room on a Sunday afternoon July 5. We ordered the chopped salad and the gyro combo with the pork belly meat. The Gyro was really tasty. I would order again. The salad was lacking and wasn't chopped and the lettuce was actually in large pieces. There wasn't much else in it either, tomatoes, banana peppers and croutons. Definitely won't order again and would get a bowl next time if I want a salad. Service was fine. We may try again read more

Definitely fell below my expectations since I love eating at Nick the Greek. I ordered the Gyro bowl with beef. The entire bowl was well under seasoned and was very bland. Some of the lettuce from my bowl was wilted. The side of falafel was so dry that I couldn't even finish it. Sadly the fries were overcooked and incredibly hard. Second time here and it was better than the first! The fries are fresh and delicious, they cut the potatoes there and fry them. The steak was tender and had good flavor and the chicken was moist and fresh as well. The outside seating was great, it was a beautiful day. read more

I had the beef and lamb gyro.The beef was dry but the lamb was good. Needed more tziki sauce. French fries in a gyro? Never in a traditional gyro and I have eaten a lot of them. The French fries tasted good but not crispy. Don't go here if you want a traditional gyro. read more

Visited Nick the Greek in Tracy with friends and had a great experience. They were very busy but the staff stayed efficient, friendly, and attentive. Food was fresh and tasted great. The restaurant is big with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely recommend checking it out -- I've already been back twice! read more

Tried the new Nick the Greek location and honestly it was a disappointing experience. As a vegetarian, I was expecting flavorful and fresh falafel, but it was dry, bland, and had almost no taste. The food also took a long time to come out, and the prices were expensive for the quality served. It feels like these new chain restaurants focus more on opening locations and making money instead of keeping authentic Mediterranean flavor and quality. Been here three times since they opened. Food has been delicious every time. Staff is still learning so patience is key but they have been friendly and accommodating. I would recommend trying the burger or the beef and lamb gyro. If you are trying to stay away from carbs the Mediterranean bowl is a good choice. read more
