I think the portion sizes are very good, and the flavor is good. There are lots of options for people to be able to find exactly what they are looking for, and this place was great. Since the grand opening, I remember coming here on the very first day and being able to get the hero bowl. I was full and definitely like to eat a lot, and the protein ratio is great. I like the seating. If you get here when it's not that busy, there is essentially one row of chairs. This place would be good mostly for takeout unless you can score a table when it's not busy. read more

Can someone from the other location train the cooks at this one? I frequent both on a weekly basis and notice a significant difference in the preparation and quality. The location on Neil provides excellent gyros, with the right amount of protein, a warm pita that is wrapped nicely that the ingredients stay. Most times at this location the pita is overly toasted, skimped on protein and all the ingredients fall out because the wrapping is incorrect. read more

For those who need a little a little bit of heat with your food, tobacco and sriracha sauce are available by the soda machine. Kind of wished the fries were crispier. Fast casual & great Greek-American food Checked it out with a lamb gyro, because that's hard for me to conjure out of my home kitchen. The lamb gyro had a good and balanced amount of meat in it, and there were a few fries in there to add some texture-fun. So happy they opened a location closer to my house. I had previously tried the other location after seeing a deal on Uber Eats and the Mediterranean bowl became a quick favorite. This location is no different! I went on the grand opening day to receive the free entree and was greeted by the owner in line. Everything moved very quickly and my food tasted fresh and flavorful. Went to the opening celebration of Nick the Greek on North McCarran. Despite inviting what felt like everyone in town to a free lunch and the long lines, everything ran very smoothly. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the food came out hot and delicious. It's a small place, but there are still several spots to sit. We ended up getting our food to go. I ordered the Gyro Plate with the beef and lamb combo, rice, pita bread, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki. It also came with a Greek salad. Everything was really tasty, and there was more than enough food. I'm already looking forward to our next visit. We had a pleasant experience during the grand opening of the new Nick the Greek in Northwest Reno. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating even thought it was especially busy during the grand opening. We got in within about 30 min and talked to one of the owners who gave us some good recommendations. Since I have eaten at the other Nicks, I decided to branch out and ordered the Pork Belly Gyro. It was delicious, and I also tried the greek fries which were tasty. Glad to see another Nick the Greek in Reno, it's a great lunch spot and one of the best gyro spots in Reno! read more

Place is small, so mostly take out, good parking and super convenient location in the NW (the NW is in desperate need of more eateries!). Ordered the beef/lamb gyro. Generous amount of warm, tender protein, easy on the Tzatziki sauce, fresh veggies. As in Greece, everything has fries...in the pita. I ordered mine on the side. The fries were decent...not what I came here for anyway. To wrap it up, had their baklava. Flaky, sticky, sweet and a decent portion. We ended up sharing it. My test of the basics for a Greek Style restaurant is to try a classic Gyro Plate and a Baklava. If the standard is performed well, the rest of the meals should be as well. The lamb/beef Gyro was tasty with a fresh/soft pita. The Nick fries could be ordered as a stand alone cheat day snack. The salad was actually just ok. The Baklava was sweet and flaky with a rich flavorful filling. The service is friendly but still with a "grand opening month" fast food way. The prices are closer to a sit down full service restaurant than fast food. Think $25 to $30 per person all served in cardboard to-go trays. The atmosphere/decor is a clean fast food joint in a suburban strip mall. read more

Outstanding opening day celebration for the new North West Reno location. All three cousins Nick, Nick and Nick were there for this locations grand opening. This sounds like crazy talk, but for those that got there between 12:00 and 2:30 today, they received any entrée off the menu free. The line wasn't terribly long and moved quickly. We got there around noon and were probably sitting at a table inside eating a meal within 45 minutes. As with the other location, this food is phenomenal. We both ordered gyros, traditional lamb for me and chicken for my spouse. These came loaded and could've been split between two people. If you haven't tried Nick's the Greek give it a shot the next time you're looking for something a little unusual. The accommodations were great, plenty of seating. The staff were very courteous and with those lines that must not have been easy. Give em a try, you'll probably want to go back. I'm giving 5 stars, not just because my meal was free, but the food was delicious. If they can handle a day like this with smiles I can only imagine how good it will be on a normal day. read more

I was so excited to see this location finally open in NW Reno! This one is in a strip mall with several other businesses. There is only one row of parking by this building and the spots do fill up quickly, so expect a further walk if you have to park elsewhere during peak times. We got takeout but my husband said they have a small number of tables inside for a casual sit-down dining experience. I've had their food before and had a good experience. Instead of a gyro, I decided to go for one of their platters this time. The setup of the platter was not what I was expecting--it came with a side salad and then the main togo box included the chicken skewers, fries, pita slices, tomatoes, and red onions. It felt like I should've had a tzatziki sauce or something to help mix it all together but instead it just felt like a lot of separate ingredients. The chicken tasted a bit burnt to me as well. Maybe this is what the dish was supposed to be like, but it seemed like an odd assortment to me that did not go together very well. I really liked their fries and gyros at their other location, so I'll stick with that next time then update my review based on that experience! read more

Truth be told, Nick the Greek on N McCarran is very, very new. Seating is minimal, parking small but if you're looking for to go definitely a quick, tasty and healthy feeling meal this will be my go to.
