I found this place on Yelp and you did not disappoint! Great…read morebartenders, helped me choose a perfect wine. Place is a hit loud but super fun and hip. The pizza is amazing - crust was perfection. Ordered a salad with strawberries and ??? sorry BUT it was great. I've already been back with other friends! Shout out to Nicci at the bar.

I really wanted to love this place after reading some great reviews!…read more However, we felt it was overrated and disappointing. First, we showed up on a Friday evening around 7pm, and was told there was a 25 min wait. We said no problem and went for a little walk. We even walked all the way to another restaurant called The Shore to see the menu and then decided to try the pizza place. It is a huge restaurant with an inside bar and outdoor patio with lots of seating. The outside looks amazing, but the inside was cramped and super stuffy and hot. We tried to order some drinks inside but the bartender was super busy and then a server came up and basically told us to wait until we got seated before ordering drinks. After another 10-15 min, we finally got seated. I looked around, and there were a lot of people sitting and waiting for food at tables. The waitress was nice, and we ordered our food right away. After waiting an extraordinarily long time with no food or service, we waved the waitress over and she went to check on our order. Came back and said it would be 10 more minutes. Can she offer us some nuts and olives? We were starving so we ate all that was given to us. Finally, our food came out! We only ordered marinara pasta with chicken&mushrooms (since the meatballs were already gone) and one Cherrypicker pizza. The homemade pasta tasted good, but chicken and mushroom was skimpy. Then the pizza had great crust, but the middle was soggy and wet probably from the cherry tomatoes. It took us about 2 hours to get fed that night. I think many other people had the same level of service that night. The place has potential, but I think they need more staff.

I ate at most of the restaurants and nothing I ate was as good as this pizza. I expected a small personal pizza, but it was a 12" And for only $15 it fed our whole family. We got the meat lovers and added olives and pineapple. I wish I'd eaten here sooner than our last day so I could have enjoyed more pizzas . I suggest coming here both for value and flavor over anything else in the casino

We ordered a 10-inch pizza, half cheese and half pepperoni, with a Pepsi for about $18, which really wasn't bad at all considering the location and late-night hours. We split it, and the pizza was hot, fresh, and actually really good. The staff was friendly, service was quick, and the food came out fresh. The only downside was the seating area. They were cleaning when we got there, but a lot of the tables still needed to be wiped down, chairs organized, and trash picked up. It wasn't filthy, but the dining area definitely could've been maintained a little better for guests trying to sit and eat. Overall, I'd still give it an 8/10 because the pizza itself was solid, especially for late-night food court pizza in a casino. I'd definitely eat there again.

Calafuria is a converted home in the midtown area that welcomes people for dinner times…read moreexclusively, and also hosts various cooking nights that can be purchased separately. The hours are a little short, spanning from 4:30 to 8:30 pm Wednesday thru Sundays. I've also heard of the space being rented out for various events. The outdoor area wraps around the house and can fit lots of people and has outdoor games. I came here on on a Wednesday night date night and was welcomed right away! We sat on the patio where it was a bit windy, and did not see any heat lamps. We were seated quickly and ordered some drinks and some bruschetta. For this meal, we were both very hungry, and well, hunger makes the best seasoning. For most of our meal, we had the whole outdoor patio to ourselves. As it got darker, the ambient lighting was more noticeable, and it was lovely! We were quickly served our items and we received our main entrees relatively fast as well! Drinks/ Food: Bruschetta: There was more oil that I expected. The butter was melted into the oil and it was nice 'scooping' it all up! The tomatoes were flavorful. Lobster ravioli: with only getting 6-8 raviolis, it feels like a small portion, until you taste every bit of it! The sauce was so fresh I found myself eating it by itself. With a few slices of bruschetta and this dish, I was full! Spaghetti with squid, scallops, shrimp, and lemon zest: my partner got this, and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. I'm not as big of a fan of seafood in pasta, but the meatballs that came with incorporated the seafood and the taste was fresh but not overpowering. Citrus Creme Brulee: WOW! I am a big big fan of lemon and its sourness, so having lemon juice be incorporated into one of my favorite desserts made this easily the best creme brulee I've ever had. Usually the burnt sugar gives the dish an overall bitter flavor, but the citrus helped cut that and enhanced the sugar top. Coffee gelato: I ate every bit. The gelato was creamy, flavorful, and enjoyable. I appreciated being able to sit and enjoy the space and the company without being approached every few minutes. The creme brulee was so delicious, some of the best I've ever had! This is a really cute location and I would love to come back here soon! There is lots of outdoor seating with shade, I wish they were open during lunch to take advantage of that sun! Maybe the hours will be adjusted as we get closer to winter?

I…read morechecked them out online and then Yelp as I had never heard of this place which surprised me since they opened 10 years ago. The positives - the staff is incredible. Our server Lydia was so kind and helpful, helping us navigate the current menu. So helpful in follow up on the reservation, bartender was really great working with me to find an alternative to the mocktail I had found from the last menus posted here. He also did the expo bringing out the food. I loved the reviews here. Portions seemed to fit fine dining, the menus seemed to be reasonable with lots of options etc. They do take reservations through OpenTable. Making the reservation was really easy. I put notes on OpenTable. They called ahead to confirm our needs. Everything was really responsive and accommodating. We booked for 7:30pm due to work commitments but didn't expect the difficulty in finding parking. If you're dining on a reservation, please give yourself time to find parking. A lot of restaurants and businesses share the area and availability was difficult even for a Thursday night. We had a wheelchair and mobility challenges so it took us longer than expected to park. There is a small parking lot next to the restaurant but it's not dedicated. Also, they close at 8:30pm. Be aware of this as well and clarify that they do not have to wait between appetizers etc to bring the next course. Our food was spaced out accordingly but didn't really work too well for the birthday, the parking, pivoting on the menu and choosing alternates etc. I loved the esthetic of the restaurant, it has a beautiful outdoor space, cobblestone patio though (we had to 4 wheel a touch with the wheelchair) and there's a bit of a slope in places. Food - Bread and butter was fresh and the truffle butter was delicious. We had five peoplr so one order gave us each one piece of bread each without heels. The Bruschetta was SOOO good! We got that next and we devoured it. Fried mushrooms were next and this is where we are reminded that we need to ask more questions about what we are ordering. They we kindof shaved and fried, on a small plate layered on top of some creme freche. If you like different mushrooms, you may love them but they were a special. I don't know how often they change the specials. The most current menus are scaled down. The mocktail selection seems to fit the Midtown/downtown patterns of crafted NA aperitif use so if you like crafted drinks without the alcohol flavor like I do, there's really not much variety. The bartender did try and my garnish was great but it still had a strong citrus flavor and after adding more soda water (bottled) to cut the flavor, it was $14 for a drink with no alcohol. The pasta was al dente? Maybe too al dente or perhaps by the time our dinner was prepared just didn't have the time to cook it as well. I don't know if this is usual but the gnocchi and spaghetti were a bit too undercooked for our taste. The chicken was excellent and my daughter's friend loved it. We all tried my mom's lobster ravioli and the pasta was less al dente, the bisque had a pleasant flavor. I think perhaps tomato based is where they really shine. The pesto was alright, decent flavor but more salty/earthy. I'm hoping as leftovers, the flavors marry more and the pasta softens. The smashed potatoes are actually just cubed roasted red potatoes. I should have done a bit more research as I am a mashed fiend but with the garlic aioli, was pretty good. The cauliflower gratin had a good flavor too but I didn't really expect such large pieces with that as well and kindof expected more of a toasted crust. Flavorful but maybe cooking was rushed by the time we got our main order in. Overall, it was an experience and one I'm glad we had but it's gonna be a one and done for us. Maybe an earlier seating will get a different result. This was our first time so it may be better and we just got them on a bad night. Service was 100% and the staff was great, tipped in cash.

Having worked in many kitchens, the kitchen staff was extremely professional (open kitchen)... and WOW! They cranked out, quite literally, the best pasta I've ever had in my life! Mushroom Ravioli: The dough was so supple, soft, stuffed with exactly the proper portion of mushrooms, seasoned just right, and tossed in the perfect amount of cream sauce. Our wait staff - Brianna and Ivan - were incredibly wonderful as well. Super professional, made sure everything was timed perfectly (we were talking quite a bit and it was taking us a long time to finish each course; they were incredibly patient), and lastly, they were so friendly with bright smiles. La Strada - Please, please, please keep them around forever!! I was grateful to be able to thank the kitchen for their art I was fortunate enough to consume. I really, truly can't wait to come back very, very soon! Thank you to all! (Next time I'll promise to take pics and update this review.)

The food was good, but having tried some excellent Italian restaurants, we felt there was a difference. Still, we enjoyed our meal and left happy. The prices were very reasonable, which made it a good value. I'd definitely recommend La Strada, especially for the wonderful service. Thank you, Chris, for taking such good care of us!

The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor, with generous portions that actually felt worth the price. We didn't have one so we ended up pretty tight at the bar, but we made do. While waiting to order I did check a few yelp reviews about it. Michael had it right that the lasagna is the star item here. Don't doubt it. Just order the lasagna and then the tiramisu (not made in house, but very good). Lasagna was 5/5 flavorful and unique. Love that it's baked in this boat dish and overflowing with bubbled cheese. I really like that the salad seemed to be non bagged lettuce and hand grated carrot and the vinegar dressing was excellent for us health minded folks. The salad was just that though. Lettuce and carrots. Fine by me! If you read my reviews, you will know I'm a bread stick/ garlic cheese bread, cheese bread fanatic. I go around town trying them all. The appetizer serving here was PLENTY, but it didn't really stand out in any way for me. I didn't want to waste my carb cals on it, and just ate a few. The sauce is very spice heavy (not heat) with plenty of Italian seasonings in there. If you're interested in trying it, stick to the 1$ add on to your meal. I appreciate you can order half order and side orders and combos for people who can't decide. We also had the beef ravioli, cheese ravioli and spaghetti and meatball. None of those really stood out for me and I passed on most of them and focused on my dates lasagna. Lol The story about the family immigrating from Italy and using their own ravioli press from Italy is what really is the charm here. I really liked that story. Make sure to read it. It's on the back of the menu. They had a cool old cash register, but you could barely notice it with all the clutter around the bar area. I'd like to see more of that and the story of it. All in all, this was a fun place to experience and try since it's a local spot. I'd 100% only order the lasagna if I came back and maybe try a pizza. As a person who is indecisive, I also appreciated a limited menu (it saves minutes in my life). I'd love to see chicken parm on the menuuuu!
