I had a very relaxing and pleasant experience getting a facial here on a Monday evening. I booked a hydrating facial via classpass and arrived a few minutes late but was greeted upon entry and offered water. Linda was really nice and took care of me and got my situated. Music and ambiance is peaceful and she cleansed, extracted and applied various masks and treatments to my skin. I'm pretty sure I snoozed a little bit mid session. Overall my skin looked glowing and dewy and I would definitely come back!

I walked in around 6:15pm and May was kind enough to stay an extra 40mins to do a full diamond microdermabrasion facial.

The space has a beautiful scent that puts you at ease as soon as you walk-in. I had a signature facial and it really set a new standard for a facial for me. The facial and upper body massage relaxes you, I can't imagine not having a facial with such a nice neck/shoulder/arm massage again. The products they use don't have a strong fragrance -- every detail was perfect. They do give product recommendations after the service but there's no pressure and it doesn't feel sales-y or uncomfortable the way it can at other salons. Highly recommend my facialist Amy!

She went over some of my skin care history and current routine with me. The calming facial I received was refreshing. I felt cold things, hot things, a zappy thing, pinching thing, steam, and more. She also massaged my neck and hands. She gave me some great recommendations and I got a little eye treatment complimentary. I also appreciated that she wasn't pushy with the products and said I will email you what I recommend. My skin looks bright and clean. I also got some chocolate to take with me which was a nice touch. I will be back. Worth every penny.

I stumbled upon Karine Kazarian because of the Biologique Recherche line of products they offer. Although there hasn't been an issue with my current esthecian, I wanted to try a facial in New York along with the line of products. I first booked my appointment with Mariam, who happens to be Karine's daughter. She was super friendly and walked me through the entire process. She listened to my concerns and customized the deep cleansing facial for my skin. I was left with hydrated and clean skin. I knew I loved their service when I received multiple compliments on the second week from having my facial. Recently, I saw Sasha for the same deep cleansing facial as I was in desperate need of extractions. She took care of me and was gentle throughout the entire process. I truly feel like their is magic in these ladies hands and they are definitely worth checking out for anyone who wants to be pampered with good skin care products.

Some estheticians have been incredible (shoutout Aiza) and some haven't been as good. After my last few visits, I've been disappointed in the depth of the facials I've received and haven't felt that I've been getting my money's worth. The services are expensive (even for NYC) at $300+ with tip. After getting a cyst on my eyelid following my most recent facial, I think it's time for me to find another place for my facials in the city. Wish the treatments here weren't as costly; if the prices were a bit lower, I'd be more comfortable with the quality and depth of service.

I…read morestarted to try other places because they were closer to where I live in Brooklyn, but decided to try bodyfactory again. I told the injector that I liked what I had before, but she decided to add whatever she wanted without asking me. Now my eyelids are so tense and wide open - I look like a crazy mass shooter- and I have severe eye strain. I confirmed with someone who answered the phone that the injector did indeed add units that did that. Again... without asking me if it was ok. For some reason the person who I spoke to on the phone thinks a consultation will help. However, I already know from experience that once they inject it the only thing that works is letting it wear off and I have to have severe eye strain for 3 months. The injector was also very careless and I bruised like never before. She even just felt sloppy and inexperienced. I'll never go back again. Nothing like the feeling of waking up with eye strain when your eyes should be relaxed! And the shape of my eyes is so terrible and embarrassing.

My review highlights an unethical practice that's unfortunately widespread in the city. I typically get Botox treatments at Body Factory, and while the nurses are generally skilled and the facilities (I've been to all three locations) are clean and well-maintained, the issue lies with their tipping policy. Medical professionals, including nurse practitioners and registered nurses, are prohibited from soliciting or accepting tips. Their professional code of conduct clearly forbids this. Let me repeat this: MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, INCLUDING NURSES, ARE EXPLICITLY PROHIBITED FROM SOLICITING OR RECEIVING TIPS. THERE IS NO GREY AREA HERE. ACCEPTING TIPS IS UNETHICAL FOR THESE PROFESSIONALS. However, every time I go to pay, I'm put in an uncomfortable position. The staff at the register either directly asks for a tip or presents the credit card machine with a tipping option, treating it as if it's standard practice. This behavior is wrong, unethical, and embarrassing on purpose. Treatments here are already expensive, often costing me close to or over $500. Yet, they still have the audacity to suggest a 20%/30% tip -- that's an additional and unethical $100 or more they take. This practice is wrong and unethical, and again, tips should not be requested, given, suggested, or even accepted if offered. While customers technically have the option to decline, the correct approach would be never to request a tip, never mention it, and not include it as an option in the payment process. Putting clients in an uncomfortable position is NEVER the answer. Please learn and remove the tipping option from your credit card payments.
