I recently moved to…read moreEtobicoke and was looking for a nail salon where I could get a good pedicure (I have my preferred nail spot for my manicures downtown). I figured since I had nothing on my fingernails, I'd try their standard gel manicure as well. Ana's is close to my house and had good reviews. I had their fanciest of pedicures with hot stone massage. I really enjoyed my pedicure and the polish application was great. In fact, I stubbed my toe on my front step that night and came back in the AM and they fixed it for me right away. The ladies that work there are very kind and friendly. It was packed when I came in for my services and it is obvious they have a lot of repeat clients. But my manicure was very disappointing. Afterwards my cuticles looked haggard and the gel polish began chipping within a few days and today I sustained a huge chip, 1 week after application. Based on that, I won't be back. ***Update*** it is the next day and 3/10 nails have peeled right off so I did a removal at home myself (with acetone like at that salon). So disappointing!

She asked if it hurt a few times too. Even when they were working on my feet, they asked me if I normally have nails that grow into my skin (which happens to me sometimes) and they were able to cut off the extra nails. They had me sit in a chair and it has massage options on the chair, and I was putting my feet in warm water and just chilling. She also did a great job scrapping off the dry skin on my feet and moisturizing it too. I love running and over a year ago I stubbed my toe and it had internal bleeding you can see at the toe. It also started growing funny and it grew out much thicker than before with dried blood you can see. She had a machine that actually was able to scrap off the extra blood, so my toe looks normal again! I was very happy about that cause I've been having to hide that for the past couple of years. I tried the gel nails and she said it lasts a long time and you can't do it yourself. There is a special drying machine that helps dry the nails, and its basically impossible to dry it without that machine. I tried a grape vine color (I also uploading the images of my nails and the polish). She really had like 4 coats and then an outer coat. At least 2 coasts for my toes too. So she was very thorough with her work. Also, they are trilingual! They speak Vietnamese, Cantonese, and English! Definitely would go again. Prices are good and it's not super fancy, but it gets the same job done at a cheaper price!! Always down for that!

No dumb ass it's because you're rushing! They were closing soon, but I did not know that. So why take me if you're going to rush. Just say no!!! She put so much bio gel on my nails all at once because she wanted to finish faster but it was sooo bad she had bio gel in my skin. When I saw my middle finger nail was so crooked because she filed down half my fucking nail, I just said no and take it all off, I don't want it. I left the salon while my sister in law finished her nails and they still charged my sister in law 10 dollars for me. I have been doing my nails for years!!! This is the first time ever I actually had to say no and take it all off. The pictures of the salon is also a lie, this place does NOT look like this! Horrible horrible salon. Anyway, my usual place had no availability when I was able to get childcare for my kids so decided to see if The Spa could accommodate me. Thankfully I was able to get an appointment! The Spa is such a good find. It's tucked in so it's quite relaxing and quiet. They have a lot of staff and so many colours to choose from. The last few times, I have had Kelly work on my nails and she has been great. A classic pedicure done by her will keep for a long time, including your feet staying smooth.
