I am always pleased with the service here. Recommend booking an appointment ahead of time since it seems like they are always busy, no matter what time of day. They have a great selection of shellac and non shellac colors. I appreciate that they have a receptionist dedicated to booking and scheduling the appointments. I'm torn about writing a negative review, so I will begin with the positives. I recently moved to Etobicoke and was looking for a nail salon where I could get a good pedicure (I have my preferred nail spot for my manicures downtown). I figured since I had nothing on my fingernails, I'd try their standard gel manicure as well. Ana's is close to my house and had good reviews. I had their fanciest of pedicures with hot stone massage. I really enjoyed my pedicure and the polish application was great. In fact, I stubbed my toe on my front step that night and came back in the AM and they fixed it for me right away. The ladies that work there are very kind and friendly. It was packed when I came in for my services and it is obvious they have a lot of repeat clients. But my manicure was very disappointing. Afterwards my cuticles looked haggard and the gel polish began chipping within a few days and today I sustained a huge chip, 1 week after application. Based on that, I won't be back. ***Update*** it is the next day and 3/10 nails have peeled right off so I did a removal at home myself (with acetone like at that salon). So disappointing! read more

First off, I brought my husband here to celebrate our anniversary because every man needs a little pampering right? Anyways, My husband just got the regular manicure and pedicure treatment done but when his nails were finished, I checked on them just to make sure they looked good. I noticed there was still dirt left under the nails , do they know what a manicure is? I wasn't happy to see that, it's the most basic thing to be done. I told the lady who was working on my nails why did they leave dirt under his nails, it wasn't complete, and I wanted to get our moneys worth because that's why we came here in the first place. The lady who was doing my nails called over the other manicurist about this problem and all the staff looked over, so the lady stood up from her current client, didn't change her gloves and started working on my husbands nails. This was extremely embarrassing for my husband, I didn't mean for things to go sour, all I wanted was my husbands nails to be fully cleaned and well maintained. On a positive note, the lady who did my nails was great and I'm happy with how mine turned out. She paid very close attention to detail and she seemed friendly. read more

Rushed job skin still all rough on the bottom as if I didn't just get a pedicure waited 45 minutes for polish to try and still smudged all over when I got home.. was put on way too thick.. they talk about u as if you don't understand what there saying.,. I went here as I had heard great reviews. I checked their site and reviews were dated. I had the worst experience. The staff were disappointed that I wasn't getting shellac . Then I felt like I was on an assembly. One doing my feet and another doing my hands I was so uncomfortable and on top of that she knocked my finger to point of bleeding and barely apologized. Not great service at this place. Walked in there an hour before they close and said they couldn't take me. Then your sign should say you close at 7 PM not 8 PM. My husband went in there furious the next day to reiterate what their sign should clearly state!!! Never going back here again! read more

This is a review for Ana's Nail Boutique on Bloor St, by Islington. It's their second location, but I can't seem to find a Yelp page for that location - maybe because it's a newer one. Anyway, I live in the area and have been to basically every nail salon between Kipling and Royal York. Since I found Ana's Nail Boutique a little while back, I will not go anywhere else. I've had a few pedicures, shellac nails and eyelashes done here, and every service has been great. Ana gave me beautiful eyelash extensions that lasted about a month, even though I came to her with pretty short and sparse lashes after I ended up with a lot of eyelash loss from a previous set I got somewhere else. Kimmy gives the best pedicures I've ever had in my life. Besides that, it's spacious, clean and has a nice atmosphere. No strong product smells like you get in a lot of smaller salons and it's generally quiet and relaxed. Love this salon! read more

I attended here for the first time after reading great reviews online and I was not disappointed. On a Thursday afternoon, the place was packed and they weren't sure if they would be able to fit me in, so I highly recommend calling in advance and booking a time. The salon was clean, the staff wear uniforms, and all were very friendly. After paying, a staff member approached me (maybe she was the owner?) and asked if it was my first time there and if I was pleased with everything; I appreciated that. Small, clean, recently renovated place, ample parking in a plaza, does not have an overwhelming chemical smell. Came here with an appointment where 5 of us got pedi's done. I liked the fact that they used a plastic covering over the foot bath - gave me a piece of mind that Id be less likely to catch some foot bug. Came back again after a few months and am still so pleased with their service! Always make an appointment, and they only accept debit or cash. I used to get regular manicures here, but now I always get biogel manicure, and their selection of colours for gel are limitless! Its so hard to choose sometimes and I always love what I walk out with. Ana does a great job at running both of her salons, and is always trying to learn new things to keep her salon up to date on the newest beauty trends. (She now offers Microblading!) I went here for a mani pedi with my sister and grandma before our trip and was less than impressed by the customer service. It first started when I asked if I could get shellac and they told me there was not enough time (I was a little late, I admit but my sister was getting gel nails which take much longer than shellac), so I agreed to normal nail polish. While the pedi was your typical run of the mill pedi, I was most shocked when I asked to have a design on my toes and was told no. When I asked, the two girls discussed for about 3 minutes in another language before the one girl said "she doesn't want to do it". Once I was sitting at the dryers, the second girl said "the girl who can do that isn't in" when the discussion was clearly about her not wanting to do it. We still waited for my sisters nails for 15 minutes after my grandma and my pedi's were done while the other girls swept and moped around us. We left 10 minutes before they closed and felt rushed out and unsatisfied. With the amount of competition in this category, I would not recommend this place or go here again. Safe to say I went to a different salon, got a design added on my toes and they were happy to do so. read more

As for Ana, she is simply the best when it comes to gel nails! She takes her time and does such a perfect job - every single time. The salon is always clean and very modern. I have been going to Ana's for several years now after discovering her place via a web search. It had awesome reviews and was voted a local favourite and I quickly learned why. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the prices are good and the colour choices are vast. The Bloor and Durie location that I originally started going to is closed now, but Ana has a spot in Royal York plaza (free parking!) and also a new shop at Bloor and Islington. Both are spacious and generally busy but I have never had trouble booking an appointment. read more
