Cleaniness: 4/5 only because I noticed the floors where I was doing my manicure wasn't swept up. Also, they would always wash things and use their UV sterilizer, which is good. I would definitely come back again.

Everything was dingy and old. They also had a really small selection of shellac colours. Also I was the only person in there and they didn't even have the tv on so there was nothing to even look at for 45 minutes. The techs were also not any better than I've had at other salons. The man who prepped my nails was filing away at my skin several times and would tell me "No!" When I pulled my hand away or said ow. He also told me off for having my nails too short even though I always get them this short at every other salon. The rest of the time he talked on his phone. They switched off and the woman painted my nails. At that point the man went outside the door and started smoking so the whole place smelled like smoke. She did okay, but didn't get the shellac very close to my cuticles and it's kind of uneven around edge, and she didn't put any on my nail edge so I expect it'll chip pretty soon. And I paid $35 for the pleasure which is insane because I can get a better experience at other salons in Toronto for $20. They also don't have their prices listed anywhere so you have to ask, which seems questionable to me.

The work at this saloon is consistently impeccable - Tina does acrylics for my nails, and they last six weeks. That's right. Six. Weeks. I have terrible natural nails, Thin and fragile, and in the past I've considered myself lucky if my nails lasted for ten days. I've moved around a lot, so I've frequented salons in New York, L.A., and San Francisco...none as good as Tina. She has just recently started this salon - her own business - and personally I couldn't be happier for her. I'm glad she's no longer working so hard...to make other people rich!
