(And I am very gentle with my nails.) My at home manicures last longer than this! I think the quality of the nail polish was really poor or really old. Or the technician, Rosie, could improve with her skills? My nail polish was very lumpy when fully dried, and now it's super flaky. For the price we paid, we expect better. At least the pedicures are both fine.

FIRST OFF--I came back to follow up on a gel manicure I had done here a few days prior. I've been…read moreto this salon before, and their work has usually been great, which is why this experience was so disappointing. This time, my nails were severely over-filed to the point that three of my natural nails broke and became incredibly brittle--something I've never experienced before. I should have spoken up that day, but it was right before the Fourth of July, and they were extremely busy. When I returned, they recognized me and offered to soak off the gel. Since my manicure didn't even last a week because of their poor work, I assumed they would accommodate me with at least a basic manicure while my nails healed. Instead, they recommended builder gel, saying it would help my nails recover. I trusted their recommendation, only to find out I was being charged $60 for a more expensive service. I would have been perfectly fine with a basic manicure until my nails healed from the damage caused during my original appointment. To make matters worse, both of my thumbs bled during the service, and despite everything, there was no discount, apology, or real effort to make the situation right. It wasn't just the manicure that disappointed me--it was how the situation was handled. As a returning customer, I left feeling like my loyalty wasn't valued at all

At Nail Studio by Andrew, my time has been wasted despite making an appointment a week in advance. What's the point of appointments if you're going to treat customers like they just walked in? Don't make appointments if you cannot honor them. My appointment was only for a pedicure. Anyone who disrespects my time in the way that this place has does not deserve my business. I do not recommend this place and I am never coming back here again. They haven't even checked in on me to update me if it's almost my turn or not. I'd expect them to let me know how much longer I need to wait, but since sitting me at the pedicure chair, no one has said anything and I've been waiting for 26 minutes now. I'm lying. I've been waiting for 36 minutes because I arrived 10 minutes early. If you're on time, you're late. When it was finally my turn, after waiting 30 mins, the nail tech did say, "thank you for waiting". Unfortunately, the damage was done and I will not be tipping, for I do not want to reinforce this type of disrespect.

During her manicure I was handed my nephew so they could paint her nails and when he got fussy bc he's still breast fed, my sister asked to stop for a little so she can deal with him as to not disturb the others there. The nail lady refused her. My nail lady was helping me calm his down bc as any parent or person who helps with a baby of just 1 year or so knows, they will not calm down until there is milk. So idk it made me upset. And after her hands were done they once again told her no to a pedicure. We had a rough night before and this was her one time pampering herself as a new mom so it did not sit with me right. The other thing is, they genuinely could have just done her toes first bc she assured them about him sitting during a pedicure and they ignored her.

My pedicure always comes out flawless, from the nail shaping to the polish application. No streaks, no rushing, no shortcuts. They actually care about the quality of their work, and it shows.
