New to the area and have tried a few nail salons, and I liked Nice Nails. I was able to walk in (week day) without an appointment. I was asked if I wanted cuticle care, which I said yes. I'm Not sure when cuticles became non-customary with a manicure service/charged extra (which is every where these days). I got a dip manicure. They have tons of color options. I did ask for oval nails and they all came out somewhat different from one another. I do have short nails, but they should still be the same shape when I leave a salon. Between my nail shapes being off and the extra for cuticle care, that's my only complaint. The picture is from 8 days after and they are holding up wonderfully, not lifting at the cuticles yet and no cracks. I will definitely come back again, and will just be more specific on shape. read more

I've tried almost every salon in Fort Collins but the one I like only has appointments. This one takes walk ins which is very nice for busy schedules and you can even make an appointment with your favorite nail artist! I recommend the nice man who works there his work is very professional you can tell he has mastered the skill of acrylics. I love nice nails! All the technicians were so friendly and cared about my preferences. I got the royal pedicure which I wished I just went with the regular one since it wasn't that special but I loved it none the less. I decided on acrylic dip and the lady was incredible and kept asking me how I liked the shape and not once did she hurt me when she used the drills. They do have some black specks on them but I realized they're from her brush she used to brush the dust off, which I'm not too worried about! I asked for a classic pedicure and she wanted to charge me an extra $5 to smooth out my heels which should come with all pedicures. So instead i just for the next pedicure up which goes from $25 to $40. After my pedi, they had me walk through the salon barefoot. They didn't have the pedi shoes to wear until your toes dried. So gross. THEN she asked me to walk to the bathroom to wash my hands... barefoot. During a pandemic. I showed her the nails I wanted at the beginning before my pedi but she doesn't tell me ombré is $65 instead of $50 until after she already has my tips on. They're SUPER thick and have bubbles and black spots. The thickness bothers me the most. She didn't file them nearly enough. This place is not nice enough to charge this much and if they're going to, they need to tell you upfront what the cost would be. read more

I have been going to this salon for 17 years. Angel, Henry and their entire team are professional and very good at what they do. With the recent COVID19 situation, I was concerned about how this would be addressed. I made an appointment, drove up and called them. I had my temperature taken, was asked to wash my hands, signed in (for potential tracing, should someone get sick) and was directed to a chair. EVERY SINGLE STATION is separated by plastic curtains, each technician has a plexiglads screen, everyone is masked (as was I), and sanitation and disinfectant are continually used. There was no need to worry! I socially distanced, received my usual top notch mani/pedi, and couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Nice Nails. read more

The man who did mine was really nice and gave a good quick massage, but sped through the rest and I have never ever had a pedicure where they didn't use a base coat under the polish. The lady who did my daughter's pedi was nasty. She glared at us, slapped my daughter's foot to get her to move it, and did a fast painful massage and rushed job. First time EVER. I gave no tip. I'm not sure what the deal was at this place however I got the worst technician ever. She jammed the cuticle tool into my toes & when I expressed pain she just grabbed my foot and continued. When she was cutting around the cuticles she cut the skin and then pulled out antiseptic to clean it. My toe bled the entire time. That might've been a good time for her to say I'm sorry. I went to Nice Nails a few weeks ago. The woman doing my pedicure sneezed on my foot, for one. Their prices are very difficult to understand. I was asked if I wanted a design on my toes. I didn't really want it, and asked if it cost extra. The woman told me "no, it's okay", and then charged me extra at the end. The designs didn't even match. The other employees must have asked my friend and I 3 times if we wanted additional services such as waxing. I then sat down for my manicure and was demanded to pay before since they were closing. I didn't like this but I did it. The women then cut my cuticle of my pinky finger and I bled the entire time. The next day my nails looked terrible! I got a pedicure and it was the best I've had in a long time..but I wanted regular polish and it was no gel gel gel and then it was add this add that no you need this no you need parrafin.. then I needed a lip wax and um I have no hair there so I'm not sure why they tried to force it on me.. I went in with specific requests and after two hours of badgering I was exasperated.. I wanted acrylic over my nails with polish and it was gel gel gel once again and said I discount it so you get.. The owner suggested I get a pedicure too even though I hadn't planned on it. I agreed. The massage chair was so nice! A different person did my pedicure and her name was Kim. She did a great job. The owner even offered cookies and water/soda. They also have a punch card so there are opportunities to save by being a loyal customer. Cons: although Kim did a wonderful job her etiquette ruined my whole visit. I was so happy and felt relaxed but as soon as I payed I gave Tara a cash tip and had to give Kim a tip with my credit card. She had the audacity to ask me why I wasn't giving her cash too...I could not believe she confronted me about it. I simply did not have anymore cash! I didn't even plan on having a pedicure in the first place. Second, I was tipping her 20% so why should she complain? I could not believe it. Alright, this place is by no means fancy. However, drinks were offered and the tv was tuned to something interesting. I received an acrylic full set and a manicure. I wasn't pressured to receive any additional services and was treated kindly. My nails turned out wonderful because of the high attention to detail my tech had!
