Read the reviews online, saw that they were under new management as of about a year ago, read good things so thought I would give them a try. I made an appt for 1:00 today with Nick as I had seen good reviews about his work. I show up at 1:05 and only two nail techs working, both in the middle of a full set. I walk in, I tell them I have an appt at 1:00 for Katie for a dip full set, which is what I told them over the phone. I could tell they didn't care about that. The man who I assume is Nick tells me to sit down. I say, can I look at colors. No response. So I look around and find the color books and choose a color. By now it's 1:15. He then tells me to sit at the station again, so I do, and he tells me 'she be right with you' Another 10 min later a woman comes out of the back (where was she this whole time I'd been waiting??) She asks 'how can I help you' and at this point a bit disgruntled I say 'I called and made an appt with Nick for 1:00 for a dip full set.' She turns around and mumbles to him in Vietnamese but at this point almost 30 min after my scheduled appt time I had no desire to stay there and give them my business. I got up and walked out, telling them 'why bother to take appts if you're not going to honor them??' I refuse to give my business to a place that does not value my time. My time is just as valuable as theirs. I was looking for a permanent nail home and would've been a major repeat customer for hands and toes. I will never be back. Whatever this 'new management' is, they need to get their act together if they want to stay in business in this economy. read more

I decided to try out a new nail salon and since this place was close by stopped in. Pros: nice selection of shellac and polish. Not crazy expensive. Many manicure and pedicure choices and one of the staff is SUPER nice and skilled and even fixed my nails for me after seeing them up at the register and noticing the polish was patchy and didn't go to the edges of my nail. For her I am very thankful. My nails look great now that they've been repainted. Cons: the water that was ran for my pedicure was ice cold. I let the gentleman know that and he ran hot in it for less than 30 seconds and had me try again. The water was still cold and it took 3x of this before he just drained the water completely, again not checking it so it was very warm but I was just happy to get hot water this time so I let my feet adjust and stopped trying to correct it. Both the person that did my nails and feet were very rough. Yanking my hands and feet , no communication, and the person doing my nails had me lean both hands over to her side to paint and manicure so my body was twisted in an uncomfortable position the entire time. Just not the relaxing or spa like experience I was hoping for after a long day. The towels they wrapped my legs with looked dirty as did the towels they had me place my feet on for polish application. My nails needed redone and I noticed it when I got to the front to pay. The person ringing me up was kind enough to notice, sit me down again and fix it. My toes looked fine so I was told I could put on my shoes. Unfortunately the polish wasn't dry and now those don't look so nice. Overall, not a place I would come back to. I struggled with the decision to write a review as I don't like leaving negative comments but for $80 before tip, I didn't want others to not have the information up front. read more

Manicurists did not wash their hands before or between customers. They used the equipment for different clients without sterilizing it. The tables and the hand rests were dirty and not disinfected between clients. Drain pipes were laid across the restroom floor over a hole for them to drain into. My friend and I went to BB Nails yesterday for pedicures. She had called to schedule our appointments the day before and ask if her gift certificates were still valid. They said yes. We went in and picked our colors. The color I chose and the color they put on was completely different. That guy who did my pedicure cut my toe . We waited the full time until they said they were dry and we could leave. They were not dry and got completely messed up after we left. As we were checking out the lady told us that our gift certificates were not valid. She said the person that told us that on the phone the day before didn't speak english. I feel their service is mediocre and their prices are high. Their prices are not posted in shop, which should have been a red flag. My daughter had dry skin on her feet and the pedicure alone was $55.00! Add in her manicure and it was $70.00 total. I am a bit shocked that the price jumped $30.00 for about 10 minutes work, to use grater to remove dry skin. My manicure and pedicure were interesting....I was put in soak for over 10 minutes while lady was on the phone. She only put lotion on and massaged one of my feet. I think she forgot what she was doing because of interruptions. My manicure was rushed and no cuticle work was done at all. In all I paid $110.00 for the services which were shoddy at best. I got dip powder done on my nails here. And before anything else, let me preface this review by saying my nails are very well done after my visit here. They are smooth, tidy, and I love the color! However, the process took 2 hours. I have never had dip nails done the way they did them here and they justified the higher price because of that ($60 before tip). My technician was also rough when she was using the buffer electronic device and my nails burnt for the majority of that phase. I will probably not return here. read more

I was a bit nervous about trying a new nail salon but needed to find something closer to our new home in Severance. Sophia did my nails and I'm very happy with all she did. The salon was clean and quiet. She was very nice, got my nails the exact shape I wanted and did not ever cut me with the nail file or burn me with the drill. Polish is perfect. I've had bad experiences at other salons with the issues mentioned. I highly recommend her and I'm about as picky as they come. I'll be back because I appreciate good work and nice people! read more

Last year, I had a series of marginal pedicures at spas and nail salons in Fort Collins and Windsor. So I decided to give this one another try this weekend, having tried it once a couple of years ago, back when they didn't even have massage chairs. I was relieved to see that they now do have the chairs, and the nail technicians are mostly male, and very pleasant, if limited in their English speaking abilities. My only complaint is that there are no prices posted for pedicures, and trying to understand the difference between a $25 and a $55 pedicure, as explained by a speaker of English-as-a-distant-second-language speaker, was challenging to say the least. I wish they would just post a sign somewhere with the prices for pedicures, and the range of services offered at different levels. My friend and I opted for the $25 pedicures, which were great, and then the flowers on the big toenail, which were an extra $5, just so others know. Both of our nail technicians were very attentive to detail, exfoliated our winter-scruffy feet gently but effectively, and seemed fairly efficient. I'd definitely recommend this nail salon over the others I've tried in Windsor. read more

Had some time before another appointment and had long beautiful solar nails - they destroyed them....He says when hes all done well they were too thick so i thinned them out. So first of all - I didnt ask you too and second they were square and I cant even describe the crap they look like now! Had some time to kill in Windsor, so I decided to treat myself to a pedicure. First clue when entering this salon was the price....$25.00 dollar base price, $5.00 for flower ($30.00 and tip? That's expensive!) but was told up to $75.00, Wow! Then got the usual banter of "you want just $25basic??" Yes...... There were 2 customers and 3 workers, and I got right in and was helped by a nice lady and she was good. The other gentleman worker disappeared and a wax customer and another customer came in the salon, so halfway through my pedicure I was left (with my feet soaking the whole time....that gets old) and my gal did the wax then came out and said her appointment was here. So after 5 more minutes of soaking, the gentleman then came out to finish me! Boy, what a huge difference between the two and I was immediately disappointed. That is when I began to feel like I was a bother to them and I really just wanted to be done and get out of the salon. But the thing I found most odd and didn't like was how they made me put on my sandals before painting my toes! I had expensive sandals on and did not want to risk getting polish on them.....I know it probably wouldn't happen, and I'm being petty but didn't care for it. Would give 0 star if I could, went in showed the guy what I wanted, which was a simple swirl design on one tip, he says ok no problem, proceeds to do my nails, roughly I might add. Still they're looking ok.. time to paint and design, I show him the same design again, he proceeds to then tell me he doesn't know how to do that, I'm starting to get irritated, I say ok, so what design can you do, he shakes his head and says he'll put gems on, so he lines the whole smile line with clear gems, asks me if I like it, I of course tell him no, if I would've known you couldn't do any designs I would've went a whole different direction with the style. I go to pay and they charge me $45, $45 to not even do what I asked. I paid and left. Well that night one of my nails fell off, ok poor quality I thought, than when I got up in the morning my finger was infected, went to the Dr and they confirmed it was an acute infection of the nail cuticle, so now I have crappy nails on 9 fingers and an infection to boot, don't go here! Alas, my search for a great nail salon in Northern Colorado continues. I read the other reviews hoping I had found a "hidden gem", so when I saw this business looked like your typical strip mall nail salon I still told myself to give it a chance. Well, unfortunately this nail salon is indeed your typical, strip-mall nail salon. I got a pedicure and shellac mani, my seven year old daughter came along and got just a toe polish change. The lady that did my daughter's toes was super nice, and I think my daughter's pedi looks better than mine! My polish is uneven and on my toes in some places. I picked a light color for my shellac so it was hard to tell how it looked until I got outside in the sunlight. Well the polish doesn't even cover the end of my nails on some of my fingers! Also, the nail tech used the dreaded nail sander for acrylics to take of my old shellac. Big no-no! Sanitation seemed a bit iffy too, the curing lamp I used was dirty on the outside and felt all crusty on the inside. At the hand washing sink there was only one scrubbing brush soaking in some liquid, not sure if I was supposed to reuse the same brush everyone else had used, needless to say I did not. I had not gotten a pedi for a long time. I was looking for a decent pedi that was very affordable. I called BB Nails in Windsor they informed me it was $25. When I showed up for my appointment they were all busy so they got my feet soaking. After soaking a good 15 minutes the lady that was to do my service got my foot out and in her broken English informed me that I needed a deluxe pedi for $70! She could not really explain in clear English what the deluxe included other than it was "better product"; so you use bad product otherwise? She did clearly explain the $25 pedi was soak, lotion and polish only! I had not soaked my feet for 15 minutes just to get an overpriced polish change...I should have ran from this place at this point but I had carved time from my busy schedule for this. The lady than tells me there's one for $55 that's the same as the $70 deluxe just "not as good product" so I went that route paying $30 more than I planned! The pedi was frightening as she used those metal cheese grater things on the bottom of my feet.. Yikes I'm praying it was sterilized and I've not caught anything! In addition I'm looking around at the other product carts, particularly the lady next to me who was supposedly getting the $70 pedi and every cart had identical product! I started feeling like I would have gotten the identical pedi for $25!! She mentioned more than once are you sure you don't want deluxe you really need it! Than, when all was said and done she tried to get me to pay cash or check rather than credit card! I had to use my credit card as I had only $30 cash to pay for the $25 pedi plus tip! She was clearly annoyed but took my card anyway. Next time I get a pedi I will NOT go to BB nails Windsor!! For that price and lack of service I will go to the spa!! I truly feel ripped off as I read one of these other reviews that indicates they stuck with the $25 pedi and got exfoliated etc. Sounds just like what I got charged $55 for!
