The lady that left the 1 star and didn't pay for her service made a huge scene and made everyone feel uncomfortable. K1 Nails list their prices on the pedicure sheet that you choose your pedicure from and it clearly states exfoliation is a separate service and extra cost. You can't buy into everything people post. I've been coming to this place for 6yr and it's my favorite place, and believe me I've been to them all. Kenny and Jenny the owners do a great job at shaping and polishing nails! Been coming back after my first visit, however was left unsatisfied lately. I asked for dip and received very thick looking nails so I went back to get them fixed. I was told I had to pay for a new full set, which I was okay with because I like their work. While some of the technicians are nice, some aren't as welcoming. Price for my ombré coffin acrylics was 60$ Matte finish is 5$ extra There wasn't much of a manicure with my acrylics and some of my previous nail polish was left behind just a smidge. People get pedicures to have their feet soft and nice every place I have ever gone to removes the calluses from your feet and that is included in the price of any pedicure I have ever received not this place you will pay extra for multiple things that are usually included wow just wow and not to mention the lack of massage I'm not sure what kind of tips these ladies are looking for but if I don't receive a relaxing massage I'm not tipping! I have read all of the reviews, good and bad, for K1. I have been coming here for several years and I have to say that they always do a great job. The bad comments I read were from people who, I can tell, were not going to be happy with anything. They always tell me my cost upfront if it varies, like if I get matte or something extra, and it is always worth it. I rarely break a nail and if you do within the first week they fix it for free. Used to love this place and it would be the only nail place I'd go to. My last two trips haven't been great, but I figured I'd give them another chance since they're so busy. However, my most recent gel manicure had a bunch of dust specks throughout and my cuticles are soooo dry. My pedicure was even worse. My toenails are all different lengths, there's polish on my skin, and they barely even used the lotion or oil (don't recommend paying for more than the basic pedicure). Overall, very disappointed. Quality seems to have decreased greatly over the last 6 months so I will be finding a new nail salon. read more

I have yet to find a salon where they don't hurt me during a pedicure. I was placed with most likely a new employee I didn't like how my toes were left but I only asked for one of my big toes to be redone. They are nice in general but just like any other salon you can tell when they are getting annoyed. Highlight is that after I asked for my bigote to be done I was placed with an experienced employee while the new one watched. If my dip manicure last for a long time I'll be coming back but if it don't I won't be coming back for anything else. Plus also for +30 dollar manicure I would at least expect for my cuticles to be removed but they didn't. The guy practically dotted me with cheap scented oil after finishing not even rubbing in and shooshed me away. I tend not to be hard on salons because I'm aware that these employees who take on this career are very hard workers but also the public comes here to feel taken care of and when that's not delivered is more than disappointing it's stressful. read more

Eeeeeek I have to post my experience. I might be this way because I hold a cosmetology license but.... I went in to get a pedicure the other day and I'm mortified! I'm huge on sanitation when it comes to salons because I have my own and I want it to be as clean as possible to better the experience and also to provide a safe place that you can trust. I went I K-1 nails in west lake by king soopers and oh man! The worst ever. First off- the woman is dressed in pajamas. I asked her to warm up the water a bit. It was a tad chilly. She turn in the faucet for 3 seconds and then walks away ( water is still cold) Come back about 8-10 minutes later with a mouth full of food wiping the crumbs off her fingers. I tell her my water is still cold. She drains the tub and add hot hot hot water. And it's half full at this time the pedicure bowl is making foul sounds, because the jets can't run properly without a full tub, She then rips of the plastic liner in the tub which is not cool really because that is the number one sanitation rule thing that I look for when I get a pedi. (I had a fungus once from a place and it freaks me out) She's is now frustrated with me. The pedicure was as you can imagine, mediocre. THE WORST NAIL SALON. I went there to get a re-base and a new nail and the whole time one of the younger employees kept talking to me in a flirtatious manner and it was really annoying and uncomfortable. My friends have gone there too and have complained about the same guy. On top of him being completely unprofessional, he flirts in front of his co-workers and nobody says anything about it. Also, all of my nails have lasted from my original set but the one nail that I got re-done broke AGAIN, it just doesn't make sense how all of my OLDER nails have lasted way longer than the one brand new nail. I just moved here from Texas about 3 months ago and it's been such a struggle to find a good nail salon, I've tried 3 different salons and none of them have compared to K1! They had great service, told me how long my wait would be, offered me a drink while I was waiting and while I was getting my nails done. I told them what I wanted and they did exactly that! I highly recommend. The only reason for the 4 star is because in my opinion, they didn't get close enough to my cuticle so they look a tad bit grown out (but not bad, still love them) and also it was 80 degrees in there so I was a little hot. We went in for 3 pedicures and we were done in 10-15 minutes at the most... nothing but rushed service. They focused more on rubbing the lower legs then actually doing the services listed in the pedicure. Water was freezing cold and feet still rough. This is the 2nd time in last month we have been there and both time the same hurried service. Definitely recommend elsewhere for pedicures. read more
