Recently I decided to ask her about her tanning services since I've got a wedding coming up and I'm not super happy about showing off my winter skin. I've never been a big fan of tanning salons since I've gotten roasted a few times, and I also don't want to damage my skin anymore. That being said, I was super skeptical about self-tanning too. I had all these awful thoughts of looking bright orange and/or having a really uneven tan. Brittany did a test patch on my side and it was amazing! The tan looked so natural that I was shocked. She stated she lives alone, but it's quite odd to be in the middle of someone's living space with no curtains or doors for privacy when changing (or someone else was home - I wouldn't know). Very strange. For the same price, someone else can offer waxing from a clean business storefront with a private room. The wax itself was fine - not the most painful I've ever gotten and not the least painful, either. She uses a different kind of material to pull up the wax which I didn't feel strongly about, but it did seem to have a habit of being hard to pull up around the edges. For the same price, I'd go elsewhere, but it works in a pinch.

When I walked in, I had a wonderful conversation with Miciah. She was such a sweetheart, and not overly pushy with products and services like some of the other waxing centers. Now, I'm not a pro at getting brazilian waxes, but this was my third time. My waxer, Chaunci, was an absolute treasure. The whole experience was like being touched by an angel.
