The surprise came with the location - from booking I knew it would be in someone's home, but you literally get waxed in the middle of her dining/living room. She stated she lives alone, but it's quite odd to be in the middle of someone's living space with no curtains or doors for privacy when changing (or someone else was home - I wouldn't know). Very strange. For the same price, someone else can offer waxing from a clean business storefront with a private room. The wax itself was fine - not the most painful I've ever gotten and not the least painful, either. She uses a different kind of material to pull up the wax which I didn't feel strongly about, but it did seem to have a habit of being hard to pull up around the edges. I was told there is a free slot for the next hour, see you soon. I arrive, am taken directly back, within five minutes I'm out. The wildest part is my underarms were NOT grown out significantly, often esthetician's give up, rip off my skin, or charge me for four hairs on a strip of fabric all while double dipping and not wearing gloves. Jill, I believe it was, plucked a few and I wholly expected to see endless stragglers as I had multiple different hair lengths coming in at once. I have maybe seven stragglers total (I am happy to pluck those myself), my skin is not sore, it was well priced, efficient, nearly painless, clean, and speedy. When I walked in, I had a wonderful conversation with Miciah. She was such a sweetheart, and not overly pushy with products and services like some of the other waxing centers. Now, I'm not a pro at getting brazilian waxes, but this was my third time. My waxer, Chaunci, was an absolute treasure. The whole experience was like being touched by an angel. Not one part of my experience was painful, and I really enjoyed her conversation. All in all, my experience was great and I'd highly recommend EWC to anybody looking for their new waxing spot.
