I was in great need of crane service as the one I'd hired had a shortage of personnel and wanted to reschedule the time of service which would interfere with the already fully made arrangements. I started searching and after about 5 failed attempts of nobody else being available I spoke to Norma, at Norma's Crane Service. She was highly attentive and helpful and I could feel she wanted to help us out in the best way possible, as neither herself was available for the requested time. She proceeded to recommending "Roland" and gave me his number, said he might be able to help me out. I then called him, he said he was available for the requested time and date, he said it would be $525 for the amount of time I was requesting, which included travel time to and from the site. Perfect, we had it all squared away! Come Friday, Jan. 21, 2022. As he was on the 2nd to the last truss to be lifted I approached him to inquire on the final numbers to write him a check. (Mind you, as I am walking towards the crane I hear profanities left and right being said in Spanish, which was part of his conversation with the framers. Yes, that's not part of the issue but I bring it up to show the lack of, also, professionalism and respect. Not everyone nowadays uses profanities as a habitual form of communication, especially at someone else's property. I thought he was the operator, but never had I imagined he was the owner. I asked if he had a total for me as he was approaching the end of the process, his response was that he wasn't done and he'd tell me when done. Ok, completely understandable.) Upon having finished, 30 mins. before the written "depart job" time specified on the invoice-"job work order", as the paper titles. He gave me it and when I saw $616.25 as the total charge I interrogated "wasn't it going to be $525? He said he hadn't ever said that and asked whom had I spoken to that gave me that amount. Mind you, up until this point I don't even the person's name or title. I replied I spoke to Roland, he responded "I am Roland" and I said "oh you are? Well, then I spoke to you" He began attempting to start an interchange of words affirming he had given me a certain hourly rate over the phone, I said he hadn't given me an hourly rate and only a flat fee of $525. He inquired on what companies I have used in the past and how much they charge or where they're coming from, all I replied was they have charged a third of that amount and come from the Phoenix valley. I then knew I shouldn't continue trying to make an unwise individual comprehend. I replied "ok, give me a moment, I will write the check", he said "if you want you can just make it for $600". I replied "no, I'll make it for the specified amount, thank you". Upon handing him the check I wrote on the "job work order" my form and amount of payment. He continued attempting to find out exactly whom and price for services from other companies. The end was thanking him for the services and clarifying he would not be a choice for me in the future, this was the first and last time we'd be hiring his crane company. It was later that I found out he had charged me until 10:00am when by 09:30am we were already making the final payment, at the time everything was occurring I didn't have any idea of the current time. All this can speak for itself and whomever reads this can make their own decision as to what's right and what's not. Best regards, Blanca.

Arizona Crane & Rigging was contracted by my HVAC technician to remove an old roof-mounted A/C…read moreunit, and move a new unit on the roof. They did 2 separate visits since I had a roof coater come and paint the area inbetween visits. On the second visit, the operator veered the truck slightly off my driveway, which caused a tremendous amount of pressure on the edge of my driveway, damaging and loosening many pavers, including those on the edge that were set in concrete. This was negligence on the drivers' part, in my opinion. My HVAC technician witnessed the whole thing. When I called this company and asked them to reimburse the cost of repair, I first reached the receptionist who said that the owners were out of town and would come by to inspect the damage when they returned. However, the owners did not come by to inspect the damage, but merely reviewed the photos/video I took of the damage and then summarily denied any responsibility, stating that I signed a waiver that exempted them from being accountable for damage. However, it was my HVAC technician who signed the waiver on the day the driver damaged my driveway, and obviously my HVAC guy does not own my house. When I tried to explain my case, the owner was extremely dismissive of my point of view and, in my opinion, outright rude. During our phone call (which was recorded), he tried different avenues to deflect the fact that the crane operator was negligent in driving and dismiss my concerns. This included blaming the paving company for their work despite the fact that several of my neighbors also have pavers and their edge pavers are also set in concrete the same way (by different contractors), and that I had these pavers for a year without any issues with large vehicles such as UPS/Amazon delivery trucks. He also fell back to the "waiver", which, again, was not signed by me. I wouldn't even have a choice but to sign it anyway, because otherwise the operator wouldn't have performed the work. Then he tried to dismiss my claim by saying that it was an easy fix that he could do for free with only 1.5 hours of time, and because of this he would not comp me the ~$475 my paving contractor quoted for repairs. This was directly contradicting my paving contractor who stated that numerous pavers would need to be replaced and re-concreted. The owner also accused me of being rude to his receptionist as another reason to dismiss my claim, which I found extremely ironic considering his conduct during our phone call. The most inflammatory thing I said in my call to his receptionist was that from my perspective, I felt like the owners "did not give a s***" because they just summarily dismissed my claims. I think anyone who has their driveway damaged by a vehicle would have the right to feel the same way I did. In no part of my conversation with the owner was I rude. However, the owner abruptly hung up on me as I was trying to make a counter-argument. And I'm the rude one? I'm paraphrasing the content of my conversation with the owner, and of course this is all my opinion, but it's really disappointing that these folks would rather screw me over with their driver's negligence rather than make an effort to make things right. Instead they just shugged their shoulders and fell back on their "waiver". I would never recommend using these guys. I hope the $475 you saved was worth it.
