Our 1969 Karman Ghia is a treasure. We've been on the hunt for a mechanic who loves Volkswagen ( air cooled ones) like we do. Bob was so good to explain he's very busy with his current VW and Audi clients and regrets he cannot help us. His honesty, kindness and obvious understanding of our predicament was refreshing. If you have a water cooled vehicle and value that automobile. Bring it here! We are sure you will not be disappointed .

I dropped the car off with a request to let me know what all it needed. I braced for new brakes, fluids, and some additional work. I would not have been surprised to have that. I expected brakes at the minimum. Instead I got we topped off fluids and changed the oil. So, why would I say he is a national treasure? Because he went out to car with my daughter and me and spent a lot of time with a thorough walk through about the reason not to let gas get low in car, how to check oil, check tire pressure, and change the windshield wipers. I had shown all of this in the past but this time she said to me, I shouldn't let my gas get low, should I? And that saves us over $2,000. So, Bob, thank you so much for being so kind.

I let these guys know that and that the device will go off every 10-15 minutes while the car is on, I waited at their store while my car was being worked on to blow into the device as needed. They didn't come to get me a single time so I assumed they had turned the car off. It's turns out they just didn't care and let the device time out and lock out. It costs me another 150$ to get the device unlocked in this situation. After doing so I went back to the store and explained this situation to the manager and he claims it's not their fault. Even though I told them how this device works and I stayed while the car was being worked on so I could blow into the device. The manager wants to say that I should've have let the company know my car was being worked on but that is only for extended service times not for an oil change or alignment or a tire change. Every other shop I have taken my car to has understood this and knows how the devices work and the manager says they knew too so why did they not pay attention? Now I am out 150$! I have generally had good experiences with Kwik kar but not this location whether they try to up charge you by adding things you don't ask for or just being ignorant and not paying any attention.
